Anita and I were having a discussion about our favorite ice cream flavors and both of us decided that “Butter Brickle” outweighed all other flavors. Please bring this flavor back!!

this is an old thread but there is a place in California and one in Chicago that still makes butter brickle.

You’re not going to like what I’m about to say, but Butter Brickle was discontinued. I feel your pain though…it was one of my favorites too. We can always hold out hope that it will return as a Limited Edition flavor though!

Good point Country Girl. The official half-gallon sized ice cream container is pretty much extinct these days. Most ice cream manfacturers (Turkey Hill included) offer ice cream in 1.75 quart sizes, which are slightly smaller than a half gallon. For the purposes of this recipe, the 1.75 quart size should do fine.
