Even though he’s in charge of the company, we couldn’t resist sharing this baby picture of Turkey Hill’s president and CEO, Quintin Frey. This photo was taken back when Quintin’s father and uncles owned the Dairy after inheriting it from Quintin’s grandfather, Armor Frey. Quintin’s hair has changed a bit since his toddler days, but every now and then he still gets that same look on his face.

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
“Did you say – ALL the ice cream I can eat!?”
I am also interested in my families future, it will be a healthier one by eating Turkey Hill All Natural Ice Cream, our kitty likes it too.
Was he just offered some Turkey Hill Icecream?
My evening meal always ends with ice cream! I love all kinds especially those with nuts and chocolate! How about creating a patriotic ice cream for the July 4th – red and blue with star tidbits. Wouldn’t that be fun?
I’ll bet it was a really tough choice for Quintin to decide to go into the ice cream business! All the best to you, Quintin, as you continue to uphold the quality and values of the Turkey Hill “Founding Fathers”!!!
We always have TH ice cream in the freezer! Our fav is CCCD or MCC!
We live on Turkey Hill Road so we wouldn’t fill our freezer with anything but Turkey Hill ice cream! Its best on top of fresh baked brownies.
Amy, Amy, Amy…the image of ice cream on warm, fresh baked brownies probably just changed hundreds of people’s lunch plans. Or at least their dessert plans.
Turkey Hill Ice Cream is the best. It should be enjoyed every single day in July to celebrate National Ice Cream month which just happens to be my birth month!!
Quintin Frey – you were a cute little boy and my guess is that you are about the same age as my husband because his mother has the same photo of him, same pose, same type outfit, and same cute face. you could be his twin.
but alas, he did not inherit turkey Hill ice cream, because if he did, he would be eating it morning noon and night.
we love shopping for your ice cream because we like just vanilla but sometimes we like something different and you always have something different
thanks.
We all get that brain freez look after we eat TK ice cream, because we eat it to fast. Don’t want anyone else to get it.
He is so cute I would vote him president of the U.S. too!
I think he has “brain-freeze” !
Keep up the good work Quintin!
Quintin- you were so cute!!!!!!!!!
Now that that’s out of my system, I have some bad news. I’m going down to my grandparents this week, so I won’t be able to post every day or have ice cream as my evening snack every night.
One time, I had a horrible experience with ice cream. It wasn’t that long ago. We celebrate Lent, and I had to give up something I regurally have. I gave up ice cream. The day before Lent started, I stuffed my face with ice cream. Not a good plan. I had to stop ice cream COLD TURKEY (no pun intented). It was horrible!!!! Then, when Lent was over and I could finally have ice cream, the ice cream that had been waiting and taunting me in the freezer, it was frosty!!! I was devastated. The next day, on his way home from work, my wonderful dad picked some up from the grocery store. “My hero!!!” I thought. That night, I once again had my ceremonial bowl of ice cream (mint chocolate chip, of course).
Mint Chocolate Chip friends unite!
YAVON – We’ll pass along your suggestion for Quintin’s potential as our next President of the United States. Jimmy Carter was a peanut farmer, why couldn’t an ice cream maker be our nation’s next leader?
I love baby pictures thanks for sharing.
My uncle Moe had that same look in his eyes.I think it must be something to do with Ice Cream as he drove an ice cream truck for 20 years.
I never had bells on my shoes, maybe since I lived in the city I did not need them to let the birds know I was coming.
oooo that sounds good. TH Ice Cream on top of homemade brownies
So much fun, this month of ice cream is
well i am so into this contest ,turkey hill ice cream is so good ,that if there is not my favorite chocolate chip mint ice cream left i won t buy any other brand , i guess i have had the best , there s no going back ,you guy s at turkry hill are the best thank you for a good job. mimi
What a cutie Quintin was. He was already wearing a 3 piece suit back then. Destined to be a leader! You say his hair is different now. Is there any left or does it look like the top of a scoop of strawberry?(snicker) I notice the bells on his shoes. What kind of warning system does the staff use now to keep track of him?
AT first I thought it was a baby pic of Conan O’Brien. Seperated at birth…..?HA HA–Anyway I’m sure he has that same sweet smile and happy look. Who wouldn’t be happy—all the BEST TH ice cream available at his finger tips. Keep smiling and have fun in what your doing!!
We always have Turkey Hill Ice cream in our Freezer. Favorites here are Tin Roof Sunday, Dutch chocolate, Black Cherry, Vanilla Bean, Fudge Ripple. I grew up around Turkey Hill Dairy. Keep up the good work.
That expression must have happened after he found out he would eventually bw in charge of Turkey Hill!
That’s the same look I had on my face when I tasted the delicious Southern Lemon Pie!!! Thanks Quinton!
We have loved your chocolate peanut butter ice cream better than any other brand !
I love ice cream anytime and anywhere, but it really helps when I’m having a bad day. A scoop or two will always make me feel better! Keep up the great work!
Ice Cream is a daily favorite at our house. Because we eat it so often, we especially like the reduced fat varieties. So many flavors…so little time.
Hi,Mr. Quintin,

Turkey Hill Is great,it is the best,

Gearldine Goodsell:)
Turkey Hill is the best Ice Cream. My husband is from PA & only will eat Turkey Hill. His favorite is Vanilla Bean and our son’s favorite it Rocky Road he just returned from Iraq & can’t get enough.
Thank you for making the best ice cream there is in the USA.
My family LOVES your ice cream and noticed it is begining to be sold in others states now! We would like to see the oatmeal cookie be a regular!
A happy baby, makes a happy adult. A happy adult makes the best ice cream ever!
Keep the great ice cream coming Quintin!
Quentin was quite the cutie
What a cutie! The poster child for strong bones and teeth! Must come from all the Calcium in the milk! Could overtake the Gerber baby as the most recognizable baby face in the history of marketing!
Cute picture! I Love Judy’s idea of a patriotic flavor with little star cake topping pieces in the ice cream. Strawberry , vanilla, & Blueberry………..or anyone have any other ideas? Hmmmm this is making me hungry!
Quintin, You look “Fabulous”
kudos to the suggestion of a red, white, and blue ice cream, every holiday I bake a unique dessert,
ice cream on the 4th of July would be even better?
I always have Turkey Hill ice cream on hand when my grandchildren come, especially my 3 yr old grandson Ian. If he goes to freezer to get ice cream and he doesn’t see Turkey, he wont eat it.
This journal is such a great way to give feedback about the best ice cream and brand on the planet. The future of Turkey Hill is brighter than ever.
The only thing that would make Turkey Hill even better, would be if my daughter in North Carolina could get it. She loves the Tasty Kake Commotions Choc. Cupcake, but cannot get it. Branch out TH- make more of this great country happy.
turkey Hill chocolate peanut butter cup is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s how I look every time I eat ice cream, think about eating ice cream, or ponder the possibilities of which Turkey Hill ice cream I’m going to eat!!
What a cute baby! Bet he’s waiting for some ice cream.
We live right across from Turkey Hill Dairy. Wish we had a direct ice cream line to pump it right to our house.
We smell that sweet cow odor everytime the winds blow from the west. PHEW!!!
We are still wondering how such a smell can turn into such delicious ice cream.
Eagles Touchdown Sundae is one of our favoites.
It contains some of the best tasting chocolate ever eaten.
That was a very cute baby, i’ll bet he was a happy baby…
I can’t find the TASTYKAKE flavor at my Columbus Ohio krogers anymore.. Was it only a temporary flavor, because I tried Janas Cookie dough and it was not half as good as your tastykake chocolate cupcakes “to die for” kinda flavor that I was expecting…If it was only temporary please make more… If not than I will request the good flavor at the store…
No other Ice Cream maker can touch Turkey Hill’s quality and home made goodness. They offer so many flavors and always seem to be coming up with another taste temptation on a regular basis. Keep up the great work.
I wish I could inherit an Ice Cream Company like Turkey Hill.
I get that same look on my face while eating a Big Bowl of Turkey Hill Vanilla ice cream……YUM !!!
I could eat ice cream 24 hours a day.
Love Turkey Hill
I love ice cream especially the Southern Lemon Pie……I would for-go dinner in order to eat it….um
You can’t believe how excited I was when I discovered Turkey Hill Ice Cream in our local Market Basket for sale. When visiting my folks in Wrightville, PA,we always had Turkey Hill for dessert. Thanks for shipping it North. As my father told my husband when we got married years ago, “Just give her ice cream and she will be happy”.
Great smile!
cute picture // hope he’s not living on a diet of chocolate peanut butter cup
He’s smiling because he was born into a family with good tastes!
I don’t know when it first started but I am in the habit of feeling like my dinner is not complete without a small sweet thing afterwards. I almost always have Ice Cream in my freezer, ao it is usually a good choice. Isn’t it funny that inspite of all your marvelous flavors that so many folks like plain old vanilla? Of course my personal vanilla flavor is the French Vanilla. So rich and smooth. Makes me feel like having some more…….
Lancaster is a very beautiful scenic place. It’s my second home and i can never get enough of it. Those rolling hills dotted in green and rich fertile brown earth and cows serenely grazing bring such a comforting joy to me every time I visit. It’s no wonder that Turkey Hill’s happily contented cows help make Turkey Hill ice cream so wonderfully delicious. And judging from that baby picture, even as a baby Quintin Frey knew his future and family legacy would be something to be pretty darned pleased about
oh gee i forgot my husband and sons favorite flavor is chocolate peanut butter cup and right now i am
really liking the banana split-it’s got
everything in there without all the work!!!!
While in Maryland this past week with my sisters, we tasted some of your Lemon Merenge Pie variety. It was so so good. We had several other of your flavors but ended up fighting for our share of the Lemon. Yum, Yum. Can I get it in the Pittsburgh, PA area.
As always Turkey Hill is a cut above. I eagerly await the new calendar each year to see what new flavors I can look forward to each month
Adorable as a baby!! I have 6 kids and they all LOVE ice cream. Amy
Omigosh – so stinkin’ adorable! He looks like he’s just understood exactly what he’s going to someday inherit… I’d make that face too!
