Just in time for the hottest grocery shopping days of summer, we’ve chosen six comments at random from the month of June and are giving each commenter the “cooler shopping bag” we profiled last month. Below are four of the winners (we’re still waiting to hear back from the other two). Remember, in honor of National Ice Cream Month, this month’s prize is a YEAR’S SUPPLY of Turkey Hill Ice Cream. Four other commenters will win one month supplies of ice cream.

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
We just open a new half gallon of raspberry ice cream. In the midst of a summer heat wave it is very refreshing to have such a cool treat. Since I never indulge very much (on the forever diet)this is truly a sweet pampering.
I just tried southern lemon pie ice cream for the first time and it is GREAT
I scream, we all scream for Turkey Hill Ice Cream.
You have the best tasting ice cream around York County.
Keep up the good work.
I also love your Diet Green Tea line.
Your Commotions Moose Tracks is the best!
I scream, you scream, we all scream for Turkey Hill Ice cream. Love all the flavors.
I also love your Diet Green Tea line.
Wow ! When I saw your new commercial about the swirl colored cows, I couldn`t stop laughing, because I was raised on a farm and we never had a cow that looked like that ! Your raspberry ice cream is tasting really cool in this hot weather we are having .Keep up the good work and congrats to the cooler bag winners.

I remember when Turkey HIll had their plant on Lampeter Rd. back in the late 1950’s of early 1960’s. It was a happy treat to drive there for your ice cream. Wish I could have been selected to receive the cooler, but I’d be very happy to win a year’s supply of different flavors of Turkey Hill Ice Cream. My son lives in NY and he says it makes him feel good when he sees Lancaster County products available, especially Turkey Hill. Hope to hear from you.

Your ice cream is fabulous. My current favorite is party cake. I have not been disappointed with any of the flavors I’ve tried. You know you have good ice cream when it melts and doesn’t turn into a lump of foam.
I really like Turkey Hill ice cream. I recently found peanut butter in the store and bought it right away so I wouldn’t miss out.
It’s fun to enter your contests also.
Thanks for your many delicious flavors.
I love so many of your flavors of ice cream there are too many to list. My husband Ken was in the hospital for over 4 months – he is home now and doing better and every night after 9 we have Turkey Hill ice cream while watching TV. I bought 4 gallons this weekend and they will be gone by the weekend. He likes the fruit one or peaches and cream, I am a chocolate and vanilla kind of person or coffee.
Love your product and having ice cream with the one you love is the best!
I just tried a feature flavor “German Chocolate Cake” I just opened it for a quick taste , and ended up having 2 huge bowls …. so much for my diet, but I would much rather enjoy a bowl of your creamy ice Cream , than a bowl of rabbit food any day!! keep up the good work … now to fnd another half gallon of that flavor … UMMMM !!!
The shopping bags are a “cool” idea!
I am in love with Duetto’s. My favorite growing up were those ice cream bars with vanilla ice cream and orange ice.
I especially like buying it with my coupons from the calendar. Thanks!!
i can’t wait for sunday national ice cream day. i’m making ice cream sandwiches for lunch served with rootbeer floats.
How about doing full justice to National Ice Cream Day by trying a new flavor every hour? What a great reason to justify an all-nighter!
My daughter and I picked up some of the lemon duetto – we loved it!!! It only took a couple of nights to finish it off, and now we’re ready to try one of the other flavors!
Bought 4 Turkey Hill ice creams last week Duetto’s Mango, orange and lemon. Also bought chocolate chip mint. Went to get some a couple of nights ago and every thing was gone but the lemon. It was yummy. Guess the grandchildren found the Turkey Hill.
I am an unabashed chocoholic and Turkey Hill is my favorite chocolate ice cream. What else is there to say. we recently “downsized” our home and one downside us that we don’t have room for a second freezer, so we can’t stock up on Turkey Hill when it is on sale…. so we just have to buy it anyway, and more often.
I wish I could get more flavors in my local grocery chain store. When I search this site I see many flavors I haven’t tried in sizes they do not carry! Help!
I posted a comment the other day and it disappeared, possibly because I hit the back tab after exiting this screen. So here’s my comment again:
“There’s gold in them there (turkey) hills!”
Not much of a comment, I know, which may account for its disappearance. Speaking of disappearances, where did all the T.H. frozen yogurt in my dish go? Could I have eaten it all up already? Yep!!!
I have been a T.Hill Ice Cream lover since the being…to the point it is my comfort food!! Anytime things go wrong, or stressful> I reach for the TH IC. Now, my sugar level is too high so I’m enjoying the TH yogarts, as well. Thank you, for always being there when I needed my fix for smoothing out any problems. Sincerely, Susan L. D. from NJ
My comment didn’t actually disappear. I posted it on another commentary blog on the ice cream page. I didn’t realize that there were more than one. Pretty embarassing.
we have movie night one night a week with some of my friends and some of my 18 year old sons friends,( I think his friends come for the ice cream). We switched from popcorn to turkey hill ice cream, last week alone we had 6 different flavors for one movie. Keep up the good work.
I love Turkey Hill ice cream and must have a freezer full when my inlaws come from Florida. They are transplanted New Yorkers, and living in Florida would be so much better if they could get “Turkey Hill” ice cream where they live. Love the shopping bag, but it should say “Turkey Hill” on it?
Living up the street from a Turkey Hill Mini Mart almost always ensured that we had some in the freezer. Now I live way out in the country and have to drive 12 miles just to get to a grocery store … thank goodnes they carry Turkey hill ice cream!!!!
We had friends over last night and we have a Turkey Hill taste test.I am big on Turkey Hill at least 6 or mor 1/2 gallons in freezer at all times. We brought them all out and everyone got spoons and tasted. Some of our friends don’t buy Turkey Hill, now I am sure they will. It was so much fun to watch them taste all the flavors. Thank you Turkey Hill for my lasting friendship with you.
I am so glad that Turkey Hill is making a variety of flavors in Light recipe.
Congrats, everyone!! And don’t forget to share!!
All who love Mint Chocolate Chip unite!!!!!!!!!
Turkey Hill Ice Cream has been my favorite for many years. The Mint Chocolate Chip is my first pick and Chocolate Peanutbutter Cup is a close second. Actually, I like almost all of them as long as it’s Turkey Hill!!!!
We celebrated my brother’s birthday on Sunday. I bought a rather expensive lemon cake from a bakery, and decided to serve the lemon Duetto with it. Some of my guests told me to hold the cake and just give them the ice cream. It sure made an impression. A few who attended the party never bought Turkey Hill before, but they made a beeline to Giant Eagle after the party to buy their own carton.
I have used July (the ice cream month)as an excuse to have some ice cream everyday. Today was special because I just had a heaping dish of Rocky Road. It’s so hot outside and this cools and refreshes me. Thanks Turkey Hill!!!!!
Omigosh, what a great idea: a cooler shopping bag! Unfortunately, I don’t think I’d ever use it… usually I buy a single serving of Turkey Hill ice cream that I consume pretty much right away, or I get it into my freezer in time because my Turkey Hill is just around the corner…
… but it’d be great to transport my homemade frozen treats to a party or picnic!
