JUNE COMMENT WINNERS (JUST GOT A LITTLE COOLER)

Posted by: Turkey Hill Team

cooler-bag.jpgJust in time for the hottest grocery shopping days of summer, we’ve chosen six comments at random from the month of June and are giving each commenter the “cooler shopping bag” we profiled last month. Below are four of the winners (we’re still waiting to hear back from the other two). Remember, in honor of National Ice Cream Month, this month’s prize is a YEAR’S SUPPLY of Turkey Hill Ice Cream. Four other commenters will win one month supplies of ice cream.

Omigosh, what a great idea: a cooler shopping bag! Unfortunately, I don’t think I’d ever use it… usually I buy a single serving of Turkey Hill ice cream that I consume pretty much right away, or I get it into my freezer in time because my Turkey Hill is just around the corner…

… but it’d be great to transport my homemade frozen treats to a party or picnic!

Bob Jenkins wrote:

I have used July (the ice cream month)as an excuse to have some ice cream everyday. Today was special because I just had a heaping dish of Rocky Road. It’s so hot outside and this cools and refreshes me. Thanks Turkey Hill!!!!!

Linda Roche wrote:

We celebrated my brother’s birthday on Sunday. I bought a rather expensive lemon cake from a bakery, and decided to serve the lemon Duetto with it. Some of my guests told me to hold the cake and just give them the ice cream. It sure made an impression. A few who attended the party never bought Turkey Hill before, but they made a beeline to Giant Eagle after the party to buy their own carton.

Turkey Hill Ice Cream has been my favorite for many years. The Mint Chocolate Chip is my first pick and Chocolate Peanutbutter Cup is a close second. Actually, I like almost all of them as long as it’s Turkey Hill!!!!

We had friends over last night and we have a Turkey Hill taste test.I am big on Turkey Hill at least 6 or mor 1/2 gallons in freezer at all times. We brought them all out and everyone got spoons and tasted. Some of our friends don’t buy Turkey Hill, now I am sure they will. It was so much fun to watch them taste all the flavors. Thank you Turkey Hill for my lasting friendship with you.

Living up the street from a Turkey Hill Mini Mart almost always ensured that we had some in the freezer. Now I live way out in the country and have to drive 12 miles just to get to a grocery store … thank goodnes they carry Turkey hill ice cream!!!!

Annie Freitag wrote:

I love Turkey Hill ice cream and must have a freezer full when my inlaws come from Florida. They are transplanted New Yorkers, and living in Florida would be so much better if they could get “Turkey Hill” ice cream where they live. Love the shopping bag, but it should say “Turkey Hill” on it?

Gayle S wrote:

we have movie night one night a week with some of my friends and some of my 18 year old sons friends,( I think his friends come for the ice cream). We switched from popcorn to turkey hill ice cream, last week alone we had 6 different flavors for one movie. Keep up the good work.

My comment didn’t actually disappear. I posted it on another commentary blog on the ice cream page. I didn’t realize that there were more than one. Pretty embarassing.

I have been a T.Hill Ice Cream lover since the being…to the point it is my comfort food!! Anytime things go wrong, or stressful> I reach for the TH IC. Now, my sugar level is too high so I’m enjoying the TH yogarts, as well. Thank you, for always being there when I needed my fix for smoothing out any problems. Sincerely, Susan L. D. from NJ

Ken Klinger wrote:

I posted a comment the other day and it disappeared, possibly because I hit the back tab after exiting this screen. So here’s my comment again:
“There’s gold in them there (turkey) hills!”
Not much of a comment, I know, which may account for its disappearance. Speaking of disappearances, where did all the T.H. frozen yogurt in my dish go? Could I have eaten it all up already? Yep!!!

Louise Hayden wrote:

I wish I could get more flavors in my local grocery chain store. When I search this site I see many flavors I haven’t tried in sizes they do not carry! Help!

Ed Gordon wrote:

I am an unabashed chocoholic and Turkey Hill is my favorite chocolate ice cream. What else is there to say. we recently “downsized” our home and one downside us that we don’t have room for a second freezer, so we can’t stock up on Turkey Hill when it is on sale…. so we just have to buy it anyway, and more often.

Helen Land wrote:

Bought 4 Turkey Hill ice creams last week Duetto’s Mango, orange and lemon. Also bought chocolate chip mint. Went to get some a couple of nights ago and every thing was gone but the lemon. It was yummy. Guess the grandchildren found the Turkey Hill.

Juliet wrote:

My daughter and I picked up some of the lemon duetto - we loved it!!! It only took a couple of nights to finish it off, and now we’re ready to try one of the other flavors!

I am in love with Duetto’s. My favorite growing up were those ice cream bars with vanilla ice cream and orange ice.
I especially like buying it with my coupons from the calendar. Thanks!!

I just tried a feature flavor “German Chocolate Cake” I just opened it for a quick taste , and ended up having 2 huge bowls …. so much for my diet, but I would much rather enjoy a bowl of your creamy ice Cream , than a bowl of rabbit food any day!! keep up the good work … now to fnd another half gallon of that flavor … UMMMM !!!

Diane Milk wrote:

I love so many of your flavors of ice cream there are too many to list. My husband Ken was in the hospital for over 4 months - he is home now and doing better and every night after 9 we have Turkey Hill ice cream while watching TV. I bought 4 gallons this weekend and they will be gone by the weekend. He likes the fruit one or peaches and cream, I am a chocolate and vanilla kind of person or coffee.

Love your product and having ice cream with the one you love is the best!

It’s fun to enter your contests also.
Thanks for your many delicious flavors.

Your ice cream is fabulous. My current favorite is party cake. I have not been disappointed with any of the flavors I’ve tried. You know you have good ice cream when it melts and doesn’t turn into a lump of foam.

My son lives in NY and he says it makes him feel good when he sees Lancaster County products available, especially Turkey Hill. Hope to hear from you.

How much is ayear’s supply of ice cream? A certain number of packages or all the ice cream a person can eat. (That might be a huge amount, if the winner is like me and can eat a 1/2 gal. of ice cream in one sitting. Lets see, that could be at minimum 365 1/2 gals.) No I have never eaten that much at one time, but I am very sure that I could!

Turkey Hill makes great ice cream and treats their customers even better. I have never seen a company respond sooo fast to an email. And the coupons they sent to me in the mail! They are wonderful. My 2 year old cockatiel knows exactly what their ice cream container looks like so I have to share my ice cream with him because the minute the top is off he is already in or on the edge of it helping himself. I don’t know which one of us likes it better.

I didn’t know about the cooler bag. It looks great. The 90 plus degree weather this week makes it difficult to prevent frozen foods from defrosting. I love my ice cream soft and often leave it out on the counter before indulging but don’t look forward to how soft and messy the ice cream can become in a sweltering car. Thanks for the chance to win free ice cream.

I agree with Michelle, your Customer Service team is GREAT! I sent in a comment asking you to make Lactose free ice cream. My son is lactose intolerant and it’s sad that when we’re all sitting around eating ice cream, he can’t have it! In less than a week, I had an envelope, thanking me for my comment and a big handful of coupons! Upon reading these other msgs,, I’m seeing more and more flavors I never knew existed. I’m REALLY gonna get on my grocers case about ordering more different Turkey Hill flavors, now! This is THE best ice cream!
