PHOTO OF THE WEEK: SO MANY COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM

Posted by: Turkey Hill Team

A few days ago we talked about preventing ice cream cone drip by dropping a mini-marshmallow in the bottom. These cones are flat bottomed, so you probably don’t have that problem. Usually it’s the ice cream that provides all the color in the ice cream cone equation, but this photo proves that theory wrong. By the way, HAPPY NATIONAL ICE CREAM DAY!

I just wanted to say I LOVE ICE CREAM! and I know that Turkey Hill is fantastic, but it must be the most popular brand because when its on sale at my store, the freezers are empty!

Omigosh – that photo makes me hungry! ;) I wonder if the colored ones are flavored?? It looks like the pink ones would would be strawberry-flavored (and should be filled with a scoop of Cheesecake ice cream!). And the green ones are lime-flavored (and should be filled with a Lemon Duetto scoop!)

I just used color cones and my daughter’s birthday party I let the kids make up their own icecream cones. Had turkey hill icecream of course, sprinkles, m&m’s, crushed cookies, whipped cream and let the kids go nuts.
It was one delicious hit as an activity and as a yummy treat.

Good Heavens!!! I went back to see the photo and saw the pink cones…I must have been so taken with writing the Blog I didn’t pay attention. I think I need to go have some Ice Cream!!! Quickly!!!!!!!!

That picture is so pretty! It makes me smile just to see the colors and the memories of them in summers(long) past!
But…didn’t you forget the Raspberry pink color cones??? One other thought; make it a poster! Wouldn’t that be great?

I love Turkey Hill ice cream & using anyone of these cones would just make eating the ice cream even nicer!

Those cones would also be neat for baking cupcakes in!

Mmmmm! The pink cones remind me of the bubble gum flavored ice cream I had as a kid! TH–how about rolling out a bubble gum flavor??

A colored cone and Turkey Hill…a perfect combination! The perfect excuse to eat ice cream everyday, to try every combination of colors and flavors.

My husband won’t eat any other kind of ice cream but Turkey Hill Fudge Swirl. Turkey Hill makes the best ice cream! I like the Vanilla Bean. The cones are so colorful and fun-looking, the perfect complement to a delicious ice cream. I like hot fudge sundaes, myself. Happy Ice Cream Month to all!

GREAT!!!! Pic! almost as great as your ice cream. Nothing beats T.H. ice cream. It’s the only one we eat in our house. Also, thanks for all the coupons, now when on sale we stock up the downstairs freezer so we don’t EVER run out of T.H., dread the thought! LOL. Keep up the good work.

I love my Turkey Hill au natural! But, sometimes, when I don’t want to do dishes, cones like these would sure be handy.

Julie Y wrote:

You can keep the cones. (They are pretty, especially for the kids)
But, I like to spend all my calories
on the ice cream. Turkey Hill is still
the best ice cream.

There was a cabinet next to my grandmother’s sink that always held these rainbow-hued treats. As if choosing between Chocolate Marshmallow and Strawberry wasn’t difficult enough for a five year-old, then there was the added task of deciding what color cone the luck winner would be set upon. Green usually won.

Kelly D wrote:

Colored cones are the neatest thing since sliced bread, lol, but I found something even better. I found ceramic cones, it is a utensil for your ice cream shaped like an ice cream cone!!
I bought mine on the Pfaltzgraff web site, they come in a lot of colors and even match your dish pattern if you choose! I think QVC had some too. They are the neatest thing to put T. Hill ice cream in, and they hold a lot more than an edible cone!

Lisa S wrote:

Looks like the many colors of the rainbow, like the many flavors TH has.

Kimberly Schaeffer wrote:

Great colors! Brings back so many memories-all good ones of course eating ice cream. Back then, the color made the cone. It just wasn’t as fun to get a plain one! What an ice cream world we live in!

Sue wrote:

Imagine the beautiful, delicious rainbow you could make using the colored cones and many different flavors of Turkey Hill ice creams!

Love the photo. I watch a Little People video with my twins last night featuring making ice cream cones. Coincidentally the cones looked just like those pictured above. The episode is really cute and made me wishing it was time for my nightly mug of ice cream. I’d gladly forgo dinner on many nights just to get to my ice cream treat.

I love the colored cones! Not only can you fill them with your favorite Turkey Hill ice cream, but you can show off your personality with your favorite color. Wow, who thought you could improve on great tasting ice cream?

Judy Cole wrote:

Those colored cones make me think of happy summer days of childhood. Everyone gets to pick their favorite color. And the ice cream??? Well, everyone has a favorite flavor- but you can never go wrong with vanilla! Always a great choice!

Martha Hershberger wrote:

Every day is Happy Ice Cream Day at my house.Love those colored cones! Thanks for all those great flavors.

Caroline wrote:

Yuk, The best cones are the sugar cones even if they drip from the point on the bottom. They may look pretty but for my family using them is the same as using white bread for a Kosher Corn Beef Sandwich.
When you use a great tasting ice cream you have to use the correct cones which are the sugar cones.

John G wrote:

Just had a bowl of TH Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with fresh strawberries in homemade syrup, usually used for strawberry shortcake, to celebrate National Ice Cream Day!

Carol wrote:

My boys went thru alot of these cones growing up! I was a room mother for all of them at some time. I used to pour cake batter in the cones and bake them. I would then frost the tops in a variety of colors. They looked real cute. The children loved the cake cones. HAPPY NATIONAL ICE CREAM DAY!!!EAT SOME TURKEY HIL…Lift those bowls high and make a toast to all the T.H. lovers out there!!

Pat wrote:

I remember those colored cones from when I was a child. I would beg my Mom to buy the colored cones.

I still like ice cream cones, ice cream sundaes, ice cream floats, ice cream in a bowl. Ice Cream any it can be served.
