CONGRATS TO OUR ICE CREAM MONTH WINNERS!
Posted by: Turkey Hill Team
This past weekend was our first weekend without a blog post in a long time. We said for National Ice Cream Month that we’d blog every day and now that July is over it’s hard to go back to our regular schedule (three posts a week). The ice cream journalist in us wants to write, write, write, but it’s not easy to keep up that pace…even though it is a lot of fun!
But on to the good stuff. CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of our Ice Cream Month giveaway. Last Thursday we chose one July comment at random to win a year’s supply of Turkey Hill ice cream and 10 more comments to win a one month supply. So far we’ve heard from nine of our month winners, but we still haven’t received a reply from our grand prize winner (a person who identified themselves in their comment as “Artemis”). Artemis, if you’re reading this, drop us a line to claim your prize!
Here’s our nine monthly winners so far:
- Deb B. from Dover, NH
- Thomas O. from Westampton, NJ
- Kim S. from Cleona, PA
- Denise K. from Palmyra, PA
- Christina M. from Somerdale, NJ
- Todd T. from Emporia, VA
- Susan W. from East Meadow, NY
- Holly K. from Rockville, MD
- Lee A. from Sewickley, PA
Typically, one month and one year supplies are four containers and 52 containers respectively. That’s determined by awarding one container per week (we use coupons), but we were feeling generous (and maybe a litte hungry) so we upped the prize to six containers and 60 containers just for this special occasion. Congrats again to all of our winners. Also remember, we give away random ice cream prizes to commenters every month, so keep those comments coming!

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.

August 26th, 2007 at 5:36 pmWe Diabectics need a Ice cream that is totally suger free not the stuff with no sugar added.
August 21st, 2007 at 9:30 amThere is a ton of us out here.
Any of the winners want to share their ice-cream with me? Congrats to all the winners.
August 14th, 2007 at 10:38 amOOoops, I forgot to mention that I’m dying to try German Chocolate cake!!!! It sounds so amazing!! That is my next goal! I hope I can find it here in NJ.
August 12th, 2007 at 11:43 amThank You Turkey Hill for the awesome Ice Cream couopons!!! I got my Mango Duetto the other day and filled up my Duetto Mug and had a personal ice cream party!!! This week will be exciting though, because everyone found out I won a month’s supply of TH and everyone wants some, so I’ll be personally delivering my friends their TH so they can be happy eating Ice Cream with me!!!! TH Rocks!!!! What a great way to make everyone happy!! TH Ice Cream is a mood booster!!
August 12th, 2007 at 11:41 amToday I took my 4 year old to Hersheypark. He was super cranky, so after an hour or so of sweating in the sweltering heat, we decided to go home for a nap. On the way out, we grabbed a TH ice cream cone, and wouldn’t you know it, that saved the day. Suddenly he was a happy boy! Mmmmm. I’ve got great pics on my camera of how happy. Too bad we can’t post pictures!
August 10th, 2007 at 5:48 pmThank goodness I didn’t win this month, I went overboard myself and have a freezer full downstairs and upstairs all with turkey Hill of course. Can’t choose just one favorite, I love them all!
August 9th, 2007 at 4:49 pmHear that fellas? Instead of buying your wife or girlfriend flowers, just buy her a container of Turkey Hill instead! You can thank us (and Ally) for the idea later.
August 9th, 2007 at 8:49 amI just recently got out of the hospital after a very long stay. I was diagnosed with an extremely rare lung disease. I was ‘hooked up’ to chest tubes attached directly to the wall and eating only hospital food for quite a while.
Thank you Turkey Hill - because once I got home, sitting on the kitchen counter, instead of flowers was the one thing I wanted - Turkey Hill vanilla - my FAVORITE!
August 8th, 2007 at 10:46 pmJust found your German Chocolate Cake ice cream and wow. Stupendous.
August 8th, 2007 at 4:48 pmGREAT ICE CREAM THATS ALL I HAVE TO SAY, NOTHING ELSE BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING ELSE
August 8th, 2007 at 4:36 pmHELLO to all I am so Happy since my birthday is next week what a wonderful suprise an gift of icecream!!!!!!Thanks so much I promise to share with all of you!!!!!!!
August 8th, 2007 at 4:06 pmWe’ll make a few more attempts to contact Artemis. He (or she) has got to be out there somewhere. Maybe he’s on vacation in the Himalayas, far from the nearest internet cafe and unable to check his email.
If he doesn’t claim his prize within a month or so, we’ll have to figure out what to do with it. Some of the ideas talked about in these comments sound pretty good.
August 8th, 2007 at 2:36 pmCongrats to all the winners.
If Artemis doesn’t claim his prize, what will happen to it? Can I have it? We ran out of ice cream last night and I was so disappointed.
Will you split it up for 10 more month winners like Kelly D. wrote? Or will you give it to someone else (like me for example)?
Please answer, Turkey Hill Team!
August 8th, 2007 at 1:39 pmCongrats to all the winners!
August 7th, 2007 at 7:13 pmThank you Turkey Hill & congratulations winners.
August 7th, 2007 at 6:20 pmBoo Who it wasn’t me but to the winners enjoy your prize. I hope you will pick another name if the one monthly and yearly winner do not reply within a reasonable time giving us ice cream lovers another chance. To be fair if the yearly one does not reply pick for the year prize from one of the 9 monthly winner and then pick a new monthly.
It was a lot of fun being part of the contest and I hope you do it again in July 2008.
PS I did go into my internet server’s bounced spam report for me to make sure I wasn’t bounced.
August 7th, 2007 at 5:35 pmCongratulations to all of you. It’s the perfect “prize” Enjoy.
August 7th, 2007 at 5:26 pmANN - Glad we found you! We’ve been expanding rapidly westward and to the northeast. Soon we’ll be finding lots of new customers.
CAROL - That’s funny how you combine various flavors into one container to make room for more ice cream! We’ll have to remember that one.
SUE - Yes, in addition to making ice cream sandwiches, we also make sundae cones.
SARAH B - Nice try! (We don’t blame your for trying though. Hopefully Artemis will be in touch soon.)
JENHEADJEN - A Butter Pecan orange float. We’re not going to lie, that one sounds…interesting. But orange soda is good and so is butter pecan ice cream, so the two together might not be bad.
August 7th, 2007 at 2:13 pmAhh, my lucky sis won a month’s worth of ice cream! I am so jealous!
Just as an FYI, has anyone seen what Turkey Hill’s competitors are doing? A friend brought over ice cream the other day and on the front was a picture of a farm with cows and silos - I thought for sure it was Turkey Hill ice cream. Then I took a bite, and sure enough, it wasn’t!!! Sheer trickery.
Also, I caught my dad making a butter-pecan orange float last night. What’s that, you ask? Butter-pecan ice cream with orange soda. He said it was delish… someday I’ll dare to try!
August 7th, 2007 at 2:03 pmThank you so much Turkey Hill! With some many writing everyday, I could only imagine that I could win something like this. I will enjoy every cold, delicious bite!
August 7th, 2007 at 12:45 pmCongratulations to Artemis and all the winners! Enjoy your free ice cream, I’ll just keep buying mine, I guess I’m worth it, Rocky Road, sounds good for tonight!! ENJOY!!!
August 7th, 2007 at 11:48 amUm…yes…it’s ME, Artemis, here! I, uh..er..am claiming my prize! Sorry I’m a bit…um… late..I was..uh..taking a shower when ya called..But hey! You can mail my prize to me here in Sound Beach! Yup! That’s me! (cough cough)…Uh…make those 52 containers Tin Roof Sundae…THANKS!! Sincerely, “Artemis” (gosh, I hope they don’t ask me for identification..)
August 7th, 2007 at 10:31 amYeah, it’s been a little weird not journaling every day, eh? Sort of gets into you like a habit?
Remember that famous scene in the movie Spartacus?? Well this time it’s all of us standing up to say, “I am Artemis!”
Ha ha — no, I wish. Congratulations to the real Artemis… I’ll have to go back into the archives and see his winning comment.
August 7th, 2007 at 9:43 amI’d be in Ice Cream Heaven if that was me that won!!!! Happy Eating
August 7th, 2007 at 9:19 amThank You, T. Hill for the x-tra cartons to the winners, can never have to much ice cream! Artemis, what is with you not reading your e-mails to claim your prize? Get with it buddy!
August 7th, 2007 at 9:03 amMaybe T. Hill should divide your 60 cpns. to 10 more winners if your don’t claim them today!!!
Darn! I was hoping my name would be on that winners list,,, but maybe next time! OH well,, I’ll continue my quest,,trying all the different flavors of TH ice cream and getting after my grocery to order MORE different flavors. Now that I know TH makes ice cream sandwiches (any other novelties?), I’ll try & get him to order those too. He might have to bump one of the competetors brands out to make room! lol
August 7th, 2007 at 7:58 amWell I guess I didn’t win. There’s always next year! I’m not hurting on my lack of T.H.
We currently have 6 containers in our freezer. I can only imagine if I had won how many more I could cram in there. Some cartons have 2 flavors in them. I would combine cartons to make room.I would see a flavor we wanted to try and buy it. (If you don’t buy when found…it would be gone next trip to store.) Family favorites –Orig. Van. ,Cookie Dough, Lemon Duetto, Rasp. Duetto and German Choc. Cake. This list will grow the more we try. LOL By the way congratulations to the winners. Enjoy your ice cream.
August 7th, 2007 at 7:20 amMy husband and I are both in our sixties and we still love ice cream. Since we both also suffer from high cholesterol, we purchase fat free Turkey Hill. We’ve mostly been buying Neapolitan with vanilla, chocolate and strawberry (he’s a chocolate lover, I’m for vanilla, and we both like strawberry). But this week we bought peach mango smoothie. What a great summer treat! We blended it with fat free milk yesterday for lunch. Good flavor!
August 7th, 2007 at 6:19 amBummer, I really thought this might be my lucky month for a prize. Guess I will have to go drown my sorrows in a big bowl of Turkey Hill ice cream.
August 7th, 2007 at 4:09 amStrange but true story. I first had your ice cream when visiting family members but never found it where I live in Ohio. Then, magically (at least to me) I FOUND it two weeks ago! I’m on my, dare I admit it, second half gallon.
Thank you!
August 6th, 2007 at 10:27 pmCongratulations everyone!!!!!!!
Happy Eating!!!!!!!!!!!
August 6th, 2007 at 10:12 pmWow! SIXTY containers of Turkey Hill ice cream! That’s a lot of Buffalo Bills Stampede Sundae!
(I’d probably try a few other flavors, too…)
Maybe next year! In the mean time, keep the ice cream stories coming!
August 6th, 2007 at 10:47 amI guess I’ll have to keep commenting!
August 6th, 2007 at 10:01 amThe mysterious Artemis…this could get interesting. If he doesn’t want the prize, I’ll take it!
Congratulations to all the winners.
