FEATURED PHOTO: GIANT COW PARKING

Posted by: Turkey Hill Team

Thanks to Janette for letting us use this photo. We stumbled onto it while perusing the photo sharing website, Flickr. Janette is a self-proclaimed Duetto lover and snapped this pic of our Giant Swirly Cow at the Centerville Giant store right here in Lancaster County.

I just had tendon surgery on my ankle this morning.
Guess what I can’t walk yet, but I’m sitting in front of the TV eating a big bowl of Turkey Hill Ice Cream.

Recently while on a motorcycle ride, we stopped at a local dairy farm in Manchester, VT, that also makes and distributes it’s own ice cream. Much to our surprise, their ice cream stand sells Turkey Hill ice cream instead of their own. It was a wonderful, delicious and refreshing break. Maybe you should send the cow in this direction.

Oh, please don’t discontinue the Duetto’s during the winter! She’s right, the mango is the best one.

ROBBIN - Very good questions. We’ll get an entry in the works that addresses them, but for now we can tell you that there are two Giant Swirly Cows and one regular Giant Cow. We almost gave away our regular Giant Cow during our 75th Anniversary Sweepstakes, but the winner took the cash value instead.

More on that here: http://icecreamjournal.turkeyhill.com/index.php/2007/05/04/would-you-take-the-cow-or-the-cash/

We were in Lancaster County and took pictures of Amish buggies and other great sites, but we never saw the cow. But I do see it in the freezer section at Stop & Shop, that is Duetto. I buy two a week, my favorite is mango! It’s the best. Will it still be for sale in the winter??

You may recall what we consider the original and largest cow promo for ice cream in Exton, PA (Chester County): The Guernsey Cow.
