Since Duetto was released in February it’s been very well-received. A lot of hard work and testing went into making the product, which is why we recently surveyed almost 7,000 people to gather some insight about Duetto and ways to improve it.
Part of the survey focused on Duetto flavors. We asked which of the four existing flavors (mango, raspberry, cherry and lemon) people liked best and here’s what we found:
• 29 percent preferred raspberry (a favorite among women)
• 22 percent preferred cherry (a favorite among men)
• 19 percent preferred mango
• 16 percent preferred lemon
• 14 percent had no preference
Then we asked about new flavors. We are, after all, going to be adding a few flavors to the Duetto line in the future, so we wanted to get an idea of which ones people our survey takers were most excited about. Which brings us to the subject of this month’s poll (at right). To avoid unfairly influencing the results, we’ll share the results of our survey at the end of the month!
By the way, the official results of the October poll revealed that 16 percent of you use a “special bowl” when eating your ice cream. And no, “the container” doesn’t count as a special bowl.

This is a great new poll! I can’t wait till we get a new flavor! I’m going to have to buy a bigger freezer to sustain all of this excitement!! Do you think it will be only one new flavor added to the Duetto plan, or could there possibly be two?

Great question Christina! We’ll be adding TWO new flavors in 2008.
My wife and I love Cherry. I want to try Raspberry. The problem for us is finding Duetto. We are in NC (a mostly Turkey Hill deprived state). The nearest store that carries Duetto is 100 miles from us, so we have to take Turkey Hill trips to Roanoke, VA to get it.
Root Beer, coconut, orange and banana all sound great to me.
I think Mango is the best!
Who gets to pick which 2 new flavors
will be added in 2008? Any idea what month in 2008 they will be introduced?
Another flavor suggestion is peach, though my heart will “melt” if the banana is not one of the 2. Thanks T.H.T. for all you do!
The specific months when they’ll be launched is still hard to forecast at this point, Robbin. As for who picks them, that will be up to our flavor development team, which consists of several people. We should write a blog entry about that process!
I wonder if our team thought about considering peach because that sounds like a great Duetto flavor (Peaches & Cream).
Rasperry is the only Duetto flavor I haven’t gotten to taste, I can’t find it anywhere,,, but of the 3 I have tasted, Lemon is my favorite. Of course that could change depending on what the new flavors turn out to be! The soft serve ice cream in the Duetto’s is THE BEST,, you should package and sell containers of that, alone!

Many of the new flavors sound great. Coconut and Chocolate in particular. I like the idea of moving away from fruit flavors. Any thoughts of adding to the soft serve ice cream flavors. For example Coffee Soft Serve with Chocolate Ice. I’d also like to see just the soft serve (no ice) and possibly combinations of those.
In my study of people we try any thing once so go for it if we don’t like it we won’t buy it
From October’s poll I was surprised we went with the rest of the people. I love the Raspberry and my husband is into the Cherry (but he still likes Pistachio ice cream best which is not a common flavor) maybe because it is the color of money.
For the new flavor strawberry is for me with orange second but raspberry would still be number one.
Raspberry is my favorite, then Mango. I love this poll thing. I think chocolate would be great, and peach sounds like a great introduction for the spring and summer. How about pina colada??
I think personally that the strawberry would be good. It’s kind of a traditional flavor that lots of people would be interested in trying (I know I would!!!). It would be even better if there were strawberry chunks in the ice cream!
I have tried the lemon and cherry Duettos and so far I like the cherry flavor better.
Alas, as hard as the Duettos might try, mint chocolate chip is still my favorite flavor. I got the brand on sale, which was Shurfine, and it left an aftertaste! Yuck. But I broke out my last TH mint chocolate chip and all was good. So, mint chocolate chip Juliets and Romeos unite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I had a meeting with my Ice cream Lover friends and they suggested WATERMELON for one of the new flavors!! Sounds great to me!! The orange could be a really great creamcicle flavor also! I agree with the mint chocolate chip flavor mentioned above also, that would be a super yummy duetto!! Also, will duetto always be mixed with Vanilla? Have you ever thought about using Chocolate?

I just bought 2 more pints of the Cherry Duettos today. I love cherry the best. Still haven’t seen the Raspberry flavor yet.Been looking to try it out. I also received the 2008 calander thank you
