CONGRATS TO OUR SEPTEMBER WINNERS!

Posted by: Turkey Hill Team

Congratulations to the following winners of our September prize (the Turkey Hill Dairy history book, also available in the Turkey Hill online store).

Stefanie S. from Las Vegas, NV
Jennifer D. from Weston, OH
Mary Anne S. from Staten Island, NY
Pamala C. from McKeesport, PA
Artemis F. from Rockville, NY

Some of you may remember Artemis’ name as the winner of our July grand prize of a one year supply of ice cream. This history book should come in handy as she heads into the third month of her prize (10 containers down, 50 more to go!). Also, you’ll notice Stefanie is from Las Vegas, which makes her the farthest winner we’ve ever had. Unfortunately, Turkey Hill Ice Cream isn’t available in Las Vegas, so we’re hoping she knows someone on the East Coast who can use the two free ice cream coupons that we’re adding to each prize this month.

By the way, did anyone see the comment from Caroline in the previous post about the ice cream bowl? In it she divulged a habit her husband has: “My husband (when we do not have company) likes to get every bit of his TH by licking the bowl.”

Thank you for that hilarious image, Caroline! He truly does love his ice cream. I think most of us — at least those of us without pets — would like to do this or ALREADY do this, but we’re too shy to admit it.

INSULATED ICE CREAM BOWLS (AND THIS MONTH’S POLL)

Posted by: Turkey Hill Team

We’ve all been here. You settle in for a movie at home with a big bowl of ice cream in your lap. Before you know it, you become engrossed in your movie between bites and your Choco Mint Chip turns into a milkshake. Of course, the solution is to eat your ice cream faster, but even then some melting is inevitable. zak-ice-cream-bowl.jpg

But not with this month’s prize, the Zak ice cream bowl. This cool product is a stainless steel bowl surrounded by a plastic outer shell. A pocket of air separates the two layers, preventing the warmth or your hands or lap from ever reaching your ice cream!

We’ll admit this ingenious invention looks a little bit like a dog food bowl, but we still think it looks pretty sharp. We like it so much that we’re buying three of them and are giving them away at the end of October (three commenters will be chosen at random). Good luck!

Speaking of special ice cream bowls, don’t forget to vote in this month’s poll on the right.
