HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO THE ICE CREAM JOURNAL!
Posted by: Turkey Hill Team
Today is the Ice Cream Journal’s one year anniversary. It’s hard to believe it’s been one year already. It seems like only yesterday we were sitting around on our lunch breaks discussing what we’d write about if we had a blog. Later we made long lists of topics when we finally agreed to start the Ice Cream Journal. (It was a really long list.)
Twelve months into our very first blogging effort, we’re all very pleased with how well the Ice Cream Journal is doing and how engaged and vocal all of our readers are. We’re so happy to hear from everyone, whether you’re a regular reader and commenter or whether you just check in now and then.
To show our thanks, we’re giving away some ice cream this month (of course, right?). They say the one year anniversary is the paper anniversary. That’s why we’re celebrating by giving away two coupons for free Turkey Hill ice cream to a reader comment chosen at random from EACH entry we post in November — starting with this one. Too bad we don’t have an anniversary every month!

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.

Perfect Nightcap!!! A cup of sightly melted ice cream in a soothing flavor. There may be a scientific reason–seratonin or something, but it really works for me.

November 2nd, 2007 at 10:14 amI had no idea the blog only started a year ago (congratulations). The July national ice cream celebration was my first time ever using a blog and I had just assumed it had been around “forever”. It’s been a pleasure to both read and write in this blog. I’ve also really enjoyed a number of the articles.
November 2nd, 2007 at 9:46 amHappy Anniversary. You really found a great way to celebrate by giving us TH lover’s a chance for 2 free coupons. I see I am not the only coupon person by all the response above me. I hope for the birthday of the founding of TH you come out with a Birthday cake (if you can figure a way to shipp it upside down and not ruin the writing) and again give us TH fans a chance for more coupons.

November 2nd, 2007 at 7:19 amWhat a great idea you had a year ago. I doubt there are any other ice cream companies that do what you guys (& gals) do. I’ve learned so much, reading your blog every day and I really enjoy it too,, Just as I do your delicious ice cream! I complained to our store manager and now I’m noticing more different flavors of your ice cream are being stocked! I told him he needed to get rid of some of the more unpopular brands and carry more Turkey Hill!
The blog was a great idea. We ice creamoholics appreciate it!

November 1st, 2007 at 3:37 pmHappy Anniversary wishes for the best ice cream ever. I have a love relationship with Turkey Hill Butter Pecan Icecream. In all of my 56 years there as not been an icecream that has been such a joy to eat. I have even compared it with others and the difference in flavor was so great, I could not eat the others. I have all my friends and co-workers buying it. If I visit a store and they do not have it stocked, I go straight to the manager. All I want to say is congratulations and keep up the good work Turkey Hill because you are the greatest!!
November 1st, 2007 at 2:33 pmHappy Anniversary, Turkey Hill Team! Cheers, bravos… and here’s to many more!
