It’s ice cream, it’s chocolate chips, it’s cake, it’s easy. What’s not to love about this recipe?
1 (18 ounce) package small chocolate chip cookies
1/4 cup margarine, melted
1 cup hot fudge topping
2 quarts vanilla ice cream
1 cup whipped cream
12 cherries
DIRECTIONS
1. Crush about 20 cookies to make crumbs. To make the crust, combine crumbs with melted margarine and press into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate. Stand remaining cookies around edge of pan. Spread 3/4 cup fudge topping over crust. Freeze 15 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, soften 1 quart of ice cream in microwave or on countertop. After crust has chilled, spread softened ice cream over fudge layer. Freeze 30 minutes.
3. Scoop remaining quart of ice cream into balls and arrange over spread ice cream layer. Freeze until firm, 4 hours or overnight. To serve, garnish with remainder of fudge topping, whipped cream and cherries.

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
That looks real yummy…I think I would ask my mom to try to make it with coffee or choc ice cream!!!!! Seasons Greetings ice cream lovers!!!!!!!!
Wow that looks heavenly!!
Of course, when we make these recipes at home they never look as good as they do in the pictures…but they still taste pretty good!
MMMMM! Going to try it real soon!
Keep the recipes coming!
Oh my gosh, this is Turkey Hill heaven. The combination of chocolate and ice cream, AMAZING!
I’m with Stefanie; if it’s chocolate and ice cream, I’m there. Nothing like chocolate chip cookies and ice cream together.
Can’t wait to try it!!!
This looks so yummy!! Will have to try this one.
I also agree with Stefanie and use chocolate as the base but top it off with the vanilla balls spread on the top, then add whipped vream and refreeze. Might also add slivers of dark chocolate sticking out of the whipped cream.
If we keep adding it will bring back memories on my teen years going to Jahn’s in Queens, NY for their “Kitchen Sink”
love the ice cream cake recipe,plan to share it with my daughter inlaw, she does not bake much;;
Turkey Hill ice cream,, cake, cookies, fudge sauce,,, the possibilities are endless! Just use your imagination and whatever you have in the cupboard and whatever Turkey Hill ice cream you have in the freezer!
if anyone wants to make one for me,
thanks, I’ll just take the vanilla ice cream and top it with fudge, chocolate chips and cookie crumbs. it will do me just fine. or just skip the toppings and have the turkey hill vanilla ice cream. good enough for me.

I first was introed to your great ice cream while holding a reunion for card makers in Paradise, six years ago. I thought the Pittsburgh area would NEVER get it into our retail stores…finally it arrived and was everywhere. It is the only ice cream I eat now. I love the pecan and also I voted for my favorite…peaches and cream. I really hope it becomes an ‘always in the cases’.
very delicious !
I am going to try it tonite. Sounds and looks delicious.
My favorite is the Ice cream cake one.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
Sounds great. Keep the recipes coming
You could also add chopped pecans on top of ice cream and freeze. I think crushed vanilla wafers would be better.
LOOKS GREAT GOING TO HAVE HUSBAND MAKE IT.
YUMMY!
Oh my heavens! Now this would be a hit at any dinner party or just a friendly get together.
I think I will have to try some of these great ideas.
How do you come up with such great flavors!

Went to see the magnificent Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center today and trated ourselves to Turkey Hill ice cream when we got home. The perfect ending to a perfect day.
I have always crushed Oreo cooking and put on top of vanilla.
Good!!!
