The following entry was originally posted back in May, but we figured anything that proves that eating ice cream can be good for you deserves a repeat appearance on the Ice Cream Journal!
It’s not a new development, but we found this story and had to share it. A team of neuroscientists at the Institute of Psychiatry in London have proved that eating ice cream can make you happy.
Using MRI devices and other fancy machinery, the doctors scanned the brains of people eating vanilla ice cream and found “an immediate effect“ on the parts of the brain that are activated when people are normally engaged in enjoyable activities.
Sure, the findings aren’t that surprising. Everyone knows ice cream is great, but imagine what the results might have been had the subjects been eating our Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough or Tastykake Chocolate Cupcake. Are there any volunteers for that study?

I did my own test, before this one, and found that I was really grumpy if I didn’t eat my ice cream. More peanut butter please

What better excuse to eat ice cream than “It’s good for you!”? Not that I need any excuses, especially with TH Cookies & Cream around. But that’s a good one to have handy, just in case.
I have been a hospital recovery room nurse for many years. I always give Turkey Hill Vanilla Ice Cream to ease post anesthesia effects. Works like a charm! Settles the tummy and brings miles of smiles to my patients.

I’m loving every minute of this. It gets total meltdown as it connects with my mouth. At times I even get brain freeze, but in the middle of summer when the temps are in the 80′s and 90′s, you couldn’t ask for anything more to enjoy.

My mother is 89 years young. She is addicted to Turkey Hill ice cream. I am the only one of her children who will sit down and eat ice cream with her because I also am a fanatic. I once took her another brand of ice cream because it was on sale….big, big mistake. It wasn’t as good as Turkey Hill and she let me know it, in no uncertain terms!
I love your Turkey Hill Ice Cream, Expresso Chip is 1 of my favorites. I could eat it as a meal. I eat ice cream everyday and if I don’t, then I’ll eat twice as much the next day. yes, I feel good eating Turkey Hill Ice Cream.
My father-in-law passed away on April 22, 2007. In an attempt to get him to eat SOMETHING when he was not interested in food anymore, my husband and I tried giving him your vanilla ice cream. He loved it. Since then my husband and I have become true Turkey Hill converts.

Peppermint Stick Eggnog de-stresses my holiday season and reminds me of my childhood. Candy canes my mom put on the xmas tree and the eggnog we could have on Xmas eve before going to bed to awaken for Santa. Why does Xmas have to be just once year? with Peppermint Stick Eggnog ice cream we can always have a few moments of memories to cherish at any time.

I volunteer too!! I find your ice creams are so addicting I can’t eat just one scoop. One scoop just makes me want to have one more. I find it hard to even stop after 2. Bring it on. It’s so relaxing so savor the flavors!

When my husband goes down to the market for ice cream (Turkey Hill, of course! There truly is no other) he gets strange looks from the cashier. Why? He doesn’t just grab a pint container.”That’s barely enough to feed the cat!” he says. He doesn’t just take a half gallon container. No, he doesn’t leave without four and at times six. There are six of us in the family! he says and I quite agree.

I always try the new ones and wish my store would make more room for Turkey Hill ice cream. My favorite was the German Chocolate. My kids love the soft cake pieces in the Pary Cake. If anyone asks me about ice cream in the store I tell them Turkey Hill can’t be beat.

When I was a child I was a very fussy eater and would not even try ice cream. Once I finally did, I became hooked and am a lifetime ice cream junkie! Turkey Hill has some of the best flavors on the market today.
MY favorite ice creams are Butter Pecan and Choc covered pretzels. The ice cream is just so creamy it just slides down your throat. The butter pecans have some in every bite. There is a little bit of heaven dust sprinkled in Turkey Hill ice cream. Its worth the extra walk to take the calories off!!!
