COUNTING DOWN…
Posted by: Turkey Hill Team
One more day until the start of the 12 Days of Ice Cream! We can’t wait. The prizes have all been ordered and delivered. A bunch of us have already determined that that we’re going to have to buy a few extras for ourselves (the spaghetti ice cream maker on Day 3 looks like a lot of fun).
A few readers have asked about how the grand prize of one year’s supply of ice cream will be distributed to the winner. It’s a good question.
No, we won’t mail you a container of ice cream every month. We also won’t show up on your door step with an entire year’s supply of Moose Tracks stacked high on a wooden pallet (“Clean out the freezer!”). Instead, the winner will receive 52 coupons for a free container of Turkey Hill ice cream. They don’t expire until the end of the year 2010, so you can take your time using them. You can even give them away to friends if you want!
Also, the grand prize will be chosen from ALL the comments left on the Ice Cream Journal during the 12 Days of Ice Cream. So even if you don’t win a daily prize, you’ve still got a shot at the big one. Good luck!
JUST A REMINDER: After the 12 Days of Ice Cream celebration is over, we’ll resume our normal posting schedule of two or three blog posts each week. Instead of remembering to check in every day, you can sign up to have Ice Cream Journal entries email to you by entering your email address in the box in the right hand column.

December 16th, 2007 at 9:52 pm‘Twas the night before Christmas,
December 16th, 2007 at 9:51 pmI was feeling alright.
So I ate some Fudge Ripple
’til late in the night.
When up on the rooftop
I heard a loud sound
ANd I thought I was hearing
Saint Nicholas abound.
But, alas, ’twas not Santa,
Nor hoofs that made noise,
But a thief came to steal
my greatest of joys.
He wanted my Ice Cream
And would take it, it seemed,
He would ruin my Christmas
and all I had dreamed.
My Rum Raisin, Dutch Chocolate,
and choco-mint chip,
ANd I would not like it,
Not one little bit.
SO I quick lit the fire
to stop his descent,
He stayed out of my chimney,
And to his lament,
my ice cream was saved
And it all went to me,
And sad was the thief,
But so happy was me.
Another winner for Pennsylvania

I’m going back to the freezer and make
my ice cream cone.
Coffee on the bottom, banana split on the top.
My husband WAS a loyal icecream eater of another brand name until the Turkey Hill Philadelphia Style came out. He pours milk over the top of his icecream and it becomes a layer of ice on it, a couple of cherries, some cherry juice ( from the cherries) and wala.
December 16th, 2007 at 8:21 pmI would love to win Turkey Hill ice cream for a year. No matter how cold it is outside ice cream always hits the spot. Thanks Turkey Hill!
December 16th, 2007 at 7:04 pmI love turkey hill ice cream..and always have :)but
December 16th, 2007 at 6:42 pmBoy what a treat to win a years suppply of ice cream. I sometimes would rather have ice cream then food for dinner. I have so many kinds that i like. my husband gets a little annoyed because i buy so much of it even though he has been eating quite a bit of it himself. Let the games begin!
December 16th, 2007 at 5:36 pmI would like to see more ice cream flavors WITHOUT chocolate. Chocolate is so over used.
December 16th, 2007 at 5:34 pmSanta: I have been very good this year. I ate all my vegetables, helped my wife around the house, walked the dogs and curbed my cussing.
You can keep all the other presents you are sure to bring me and double up on the Turkey Hill Ice Cream. ANY and ALL flavors acceptable. Don’t worry about them melting- I have made extra room in my large chest freezer.
Give my best to Mrs. Claus.
Sincerely, Dave D.
P.S. Should I leave some Turkey Hill Cookies and Cream ice cream out for you instead of chocolate chip cookies?
December 16th, 2007 at 5:31 pmI LOVE Turkey Hill ice cream! I really look forward to trying all of the seasonal flavors, they’re all delicious. I’d be thrilled to win!
December 16th, 2007 at 4:54 pmI think ice cream is good for the soul. Ice cream is satisfying. Turkey Hill is especially good because it feels rich and creamy on the tongue.

December 16th, 2007 at 2:19 pmIt’s raining, it’s snowing, the wind is blowing; the perfect time to stay in, calm down, and enjoy a big bowl of Turkey Hill. For me it is always chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, but with so many flovors, the choice is yours.
December 16th, 2007 at 1:53 pmSign me up. Kroger has a decent selection of flavors in central Ohio.
December 16th, 2007 at 1:30 pmWhen I saw this giveaway, I nearly fainted. I am an ice cream FANATIC! I could not live without it. I love staple flavors like vanilla and strawberry but my all-time favorite is Orange Swirl (Chocolate Pretzel is a close second!).

December 16th, 2007 at 9:26 amSince Turkey Hill is not a product found near by my home town, I often like to pick- up some to have on hand so if company comes I have something new and good for them to eat. Now my friends and family give me a list of Turksy Hill Ice Cream Flavors to pick up for them when I’m the road. You could say I’ve turned them into Turkey Hill lovers.

December 16th, 2007 at 6:29 amInteresting info!
December 16th, 2007 at 2:02 amI had a recurring dream as a small child of walking into our bathroom and the tub was filled with ice cream. I would wake up before i was able to get my spoon into the tub. If the ice cream was Turkey Hill, I’m sure that my dream would have been completed, as long as it was the Butter Pecan.
December 16th, 2007 at 1:41 amDear Sirs,

December 15th, 2007 at 10:29 pmGreat contest. Count me in!
December 15th, 2007 at 10:25 pmOur family is from Pennsylvania and I grew up on Turkey Hill Ice Cream. Turkey Hill Ice Cream is a staple food in our home, we always have it on hand for all holiday occasions and also for just a regular weeknight or weekend treat. I now give it to my own children and they love it just like I did as a child. Turkey Hill Ice Cream brings back so many wonderful warm memories of my childhood and I am so thrilled to share those same “sweet” times with my own children today !
December 15th, 2007 at 9:15 pmI grew up in a house that always had ice cream as my foster father worked for an ice cream company. I thought the ice cream in our home was the greatest until shopping one day, I found Turkey Hill ice cream on sale for a much lower price than the ice cream I usually purchased. It only took one time of eating Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean ice cream to make me a believer that Turkey Hill was the best ice cream I have ever eaten. I have tried other flavors but my very favorite is Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean. Now, I won’t purchase any other ice cream but Turkey Hill. The flavors are so rich in taste. I can’t believe anyone would buy any other ice cream.
December 15th, 2007 at 9:11 pmI NEED TO WIN!!_I LOVE ICE CREAM!!
December 15th, 2007 at 8:53 pmI love bananas and when I found the banana split ice cream - I went crazy -my husband even likes it.
December 15th, 2007 at 8:38 pmMy favorite ice cream was coffee
until I tried your Turkey Hill “Banana Split”.
Now when I go to the grocery store to
purchase ice cream I always look for
Banana Split first and if they don’t have it in the case I get your coffee ice cream.
Also, when they do have it, I purchase
both.
When I make myself an ice cream cone
December 15th, 2007 at 8:23 pmI put the coffee flavor on the bottom
and the Banana Split flavor on the top.
Turkey hill ice cream is the only brand my two picky girls will eat. The flavors are all great. We just avoid the nut containing ones since one of my children is allergic.I would be the coolest mom is they got to have this much ice cream. My personal favorite is columbian coffee.
December 15th, 2007 at 8:11 pmI had long beenaddictedto Turkey Hill Rocky Road & Tin Roof Sundae. In the fall of 2006 I tried Eagles Touchdown Sundae and again became addicted. As the 2007 football season came us I was pleased to again be able to enjoy my favorite ice cream.I wish it would become a flavor available throughout the year.

December 15th, 2007 at 1:57 pmMy husband doesn’t go to bed without his ice cream
December 15th, 2007 at 1:52 pmI have run out of Turkey Hill ice cream

happens again!)
