HOW TO (AND BATTERY POWERED ICE CREAM CONES?)

Posted by: Turkey Hill Team

The website eHow.com offers how-to advice on just about everything. Want to figure out how to keep your feet warm in the winter? They’ve got you covered. Need help folding those pesky fitted sheets? There are a few tips on there about that too.

One of the best parts of the website is the wealth of ice cream-related how-to information. In fact, just typing “ice cream” into the site’s search field reveals 1,300 different results. Many of the articles are recipes, but some of the others are quite fun and interesting. For instance, you’ll learn everything you ever wanted to know about:

How to plan an ice cream social (We should all plan more ice cream socials)

How to eat an ice cream cone (it starts with a careful analysis of the cone and ice cream)

How to open an ice cream parlor (of course it starts with choosing the right location)

How to make a root beer float (there’s a good chance you already know how to do this)

How to get brain freeze (for those times when a splitting headache ismotorized-ice-cream-cone.jpg exactly what you need)

TODAY’S PRIZE: We’ll admit, today’s offering is a little quirky. It’s a battery-powered ice cream cone. Just load the removable inner cone with ice cream, push the button and the ice cream spins round and round. No more drips and, best of all, no need to do that whole “moving your wrist” thing to get to the other side of the cone. All we can say is, it’s about time!

call me old fashioned but i think i still prefer a manually operated cone, it seems that the battery powered device would interfer with eating the cone. it would also prevent you from biting the bottom off the cone and sucking the ice cream out. besides the wrist and arm action should burn off enough calories to offset eating more ice cream.

I’ve done ice cream socials at work and insisted that our cafeteria order Turkey Hill flavors because no matter how many other brands are out there, they are the best!

Hi,
I like the idea of a battery power
ice cream cone. That’s neat!
I also love Turkey Hill ice cream.
Delicious!

Battery powered ice cream cone. Hmmmm, what will they think of next?

but you can’t bite the bottom of this cone, to suck out the remaining ice cream!?

Who would of thunk???? A lazy man’s ice cream cone - eat fast before the drippings fly all over the place….

But if I use that battery powered cone, how will I get my daily exercise so I can continue to justify my daily ice cream fettish?

Caitlin wrote:

Haha the 8-step process to eating an ice cream cone. I wonder where today’s prize fits in for that process….?

Scott Starr wrote:

I hope one would burn some calories walking to the freezer to get out the ice cream. This kinda makes life a little easier..

Charity Ickes wrote:

That is a pretty neat invention. But I would miss the yummy ice cream cone :-) But It would be perfect for my 7 children. Great invention. And wow again on how much ice cream is eaten per country. AMAZING

Cathy Cook wrote:

While I would prefer a real cone, I could see my son having a blast with this one. I’m just wondering if I’ll have ice-cream all over the walls??
Thanks for a FUN contest !

The battery powered Ice Cream cone seems awesome…….it is a wonder for young and old alike. No more turning and twisting your hand–arthritis suffers will adore it. No more soggy cones, parents will love it. However, what about those tongue burns that you will receive from the frosty cream spinnning high speeds. I guess you can say that this device will eliminate the brain freeze but what about the tongue freeze…….we’ll be seeing more people in emergency rooms with overused tongue syndrome and ice cream rash of the tongue (similar to road rash).

Maggie wrote:

Ha Ha! That is too funny! Afterall, one doesn’t want to get carpal tunnel from too much ice cream cone twisting!

Michelle wrote:

I’d use this every day!

Love this invention… what will they come up with next!

how do you eat the cone?

Does it work for both sugar cones and waffle cones? Waffle cones are my favorite.

Barbara wrote:

Plastic ice cream cones - hmmm. Nothing beats the real thing, a cake cone oozing with Turkey Hill Chocolate Cherry Cordial yogurt which is slightly melted and dripping out of the point in the bottom on the cone ! No topping needed on this flavor, which is my all- time favorite.

Helen A. wrote:

Love your ice cream any way it’s presented.

Beth Katz wrote:

The plastic won’t leak on the bottom, but ice cream melted into the cone is part of the ice cream cone experience. I prefer sugar cones, and sucking the ice cream through the bottom is part of the fun.

I never would’ve dreamed something like this would’ve been made LOL
We’ve seen the lollipop ones so sure why not for ice cream cones ;)
My kids would be fighting over it if we were to win one. :)

What a great party gift for the little ones and the more mature parents. Where can I buy some??

A battery powered cone! Ha! A real novelty gift. Looks fun, but the last bite of the cone with the ice cream mushed down into it, is the best bite!

My son would enjoy this cone. It would be perfect for him, less mess, until he’s a little older and more dexterous with his ice cream!

I could use the tip on folding sheets for sure.

This is an awesome treat for the summer no more dripping down the arms, or dripping on the pillar while watching tv, wow.

The battery powered cone will definitely provide my son with a new ice cream experience. Should be interesting if he gives up his nightly bowl for the cone.
