This picture is actually part of today’s prize: the “Ice Cream Pastures” puzzle. We like it because it reminds us of a scene straight out of Lancaster County…except for the psychedelic cows. Although they do sort of remind of us of our Giant Swirly Cow.

I have been enjoying the postings since they started. And all they flavors I have tried are wonderful – the Dutch Chocolate is ALMOST as good as the Bittersweet from my sister’s ice cream store!

This is a very sweet puzzle. My 2 year-old LOVES cows and would adore the picture, altho JACKSON up there seems really … interested … as well.

It sure seems like they should be an interesting ice cream base
The cows are very nice. However when my sister was in grade school and colored an elephants toenails pink, her teacher had a fit. So imagine what she would say about these wonderful cows! I just love the country and the puzzle looks like fun.
That view looks so much like Lancaster County. My kids and I have used finger paints to put handprints on my Mom’s paint horses. I bet you could paint cows with finger paints or some other washable non-toxic paint. Maybe vegetable dye like Easter eggs. But the runoff probably isn’t good for the Chesapeake Bay, so let’s not try that.
Hmmm… all my cows are black. I guess I could make do with Holsteins, though. I grew up with them.

Wow-must have been eating too much ice cream-those cows are wearing some funky colors-is it true that chocolate milk comes from brown cows? only kidding-this was a lot of fun-Merry Christmas to all and have a Happy and Healthy New Year with lots of Turkey hill ice cream-just had some Dutch Chocolate ice cream-really yummy!

At last, I can post! My hubby grew up on a dairy farm in western PA. He has Holsteins in his blood. I’d love to present him with this puzzle.
Wow, these cows must’ve eaten some of the coolio Turkey Hill flavors like the Raspberry Chocolate and Mint Chocolate Chip. Kinda like flamingos eating red shrimp. They say “You are what you eat!”
An interesting jigsaw. I don’t know the size but our limit is 500 pieces (my husband does most of it) since it would take my husband too long to finish a larger one and I would want my dining room table back.
Glad you deglitched it, but by now I’ve forgotten what I was going to say….

I thought I would have been the first to comment on this great puzzle, but found out there was a glitch all day. Well, I love it.
It reminds me of The Wizard Of Oz — the part where Dorothy is in Oz and there is a ” horse of a different color” (the horse would keep changing colors) Maybe this is “The Wonderful World Of TurkeyHill” & it’s cows of different colors. LOL:)

My daughter would love this puzzle. Can you imagine if cows could really turn colors? Now that would be a wacky scene! Ha-maybe back in the 60′s there were multiple sitings of such things!!

I haven’t done a puzzle in ages,, that Crazy Cow one looks like it would be fun! Too bad cows don’t come in crazy colors like that,,, think what they would add to the country site scenery! lol Lancaster is beautiful but those cows would sure be a tourist attraction! lol Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I’ll bet if you left Santa some Turkey Hill ice cream with those cookies, he left you some REALLY nice presents!
My parents alwasy get a puzzle for the family to do at the start of each year. It stays on a table in the dining room and anytime you are at the house and have time, you add a piece. This would be a fun puzzle to do!

I love the cows! Having grown up on a dairy farm of Holsteins, I recall the chore of going to the pasture and bringing the cows to the barn to be milked. What a surprise it would have been to encounter those colorful cows instead of the usual black and white to bring home.

Once again I’m puzzled by this entry. No pun intended. It’s an interesting picture, I guess there’s something for everyone. It reminds me of cows you would get strawberry milk from. I pray you all had a blessed Christmas. This was a fun thing to do for the past 12 days. I think I hit atleast half of them. Remember, after Jan 1st it’s frozen yogurt and light ice cream for everyone.

i seem to recall seeing cows like these back in the seventies. the recollection is kind of fuzzy, but these cows do seem familiar.

Seeing the colored cows, brings up the question “Can cows see color? Someone pointed out that fish and birds obviously must be able to see color since they use color to attract mates, but cows?
During the winter my wife and I like to do a puzzle in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot tea and a bowl of ice cream. So keep us in mind for the puzzle or even better, the ice cream!
