What can we say…Turkey Hill loves sports. Especially baseball. The warm weather, the relaxed pace. It’s the perfect sport for ice cream too. (Who doesn’t love some Graham Slam served in one of those miniature helmets?)
As most of you may know, Turkey Hill is the official ice cream of the Philadelphia Phillies, which is one of the reasons why we’re excited about this weekend’s Phillies Kids Phest at Citizen’s Bank Park. Plus it’s a chance to experience baseball in January, which is always nice.
From noon till 3:30 pm on Saturday, Turkey Hill will be on hand to help celebrate the Phest. The event features autographs from members of the 2008 Phillies, hitting and pitching demonstrations, visits to the Phillies dugout and clubhouse and lots more, including Turkey Hill’s Kid’s Opening Night Drawing Contest. Kids can draw pictures of their favorite Phillie players and the winners will be shown on the Phillies’ jumbotron during Turkey Hill Kid’s Opening Night on Saturday, April 12.
April 12 may seem like an eternity to wait for the Phillies to play their home opener, but don’t worry…Spring Training starts in 23 days!

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
It is nice to see there are still some fan friendly players in sports and not just greedy ones receiving millions in pay and then charge their fans when they sign a program. My husband has told me he, as a kid, use to wait with his friends outside the clubhouse door in Brooklyn and when the players were leaving they would sign the programs and not ask for 10 cents. Too bad he no longer has those programs since the value of one might be worth a couple of years supply of TH.
If my grandchildren were here visiting I would take them to the event even though I am now a Met fan (I was also like my husband a Brooklyn fan).
Wow sounds like a nice event, sorry I don’t live in Philly.
Where is Citizen’s Bank Park?
Sounds like a great event, especially for the kids.
P.S. Live in NJ but am a Met’s fan too
wow, thats great you support sports, times are changeing in the world
Well, for me, ice cream is good in the winter as well as for summer sports.
We’ll serve it at our superbowl party.
Here’s something that’s really great:
one part coffee, one part hot chocolate, top off with vanilla fudge Turkey Hill (we use the fat free!)
Enjoy the day!! Go Phillies!!!
Sounds like a nice treat, now that all the holidays are over.
They have a fanfest locally in Baltimore for the Orioles. I wouldn’t mind going if they too offered some Turkey Hill ice cream. It’s a treat enjoyed all year round.
thats wonderful to hear ,that you support the sport in this world, verypleased to known your company cares

TURKEY HILL AND PHILLIES KIDS PHEST
Posted by: Turkey Hill Team—and when I linked to the phillies site,
the sign up for the event was last thursday, the 17th. so I guess our family will not be there.
I wish I could be there to cheer and have some ice cream. Good luck Phillies!
I have never tried the Gland Slam flavor but see it in the store while shopping. Must put that on my “try it” list. Don’t forget that Turkey Hill also has their Eagles brand Ice Cream in your neighborhood freezer case. We LOVE that flavor! Do I hear a second? The flavor combination is great!
I am a die hard Phillies fan (season ticket holder for 30 years), have tried both the Phillies Flavor and The Eagles Flavor and enjoy the Eagles better. The Phillies always treat their fans special but wish they could keep their prices for tickets less expensive like the ticket prices were at the Vet.
