FEATURED PHOTO: A SNOWY DAY AT THE DAIRY
Posted by: Turkey Hill Team
Those of you in the Northeast United States already know what today’s weather is like: cold and, depending on which state you’re in, snowy/icy/rainy. Here in Lancaster County it’s all of the above (also known as a “wintry mix”). Below is a photo that was taken this morning of our Giant Swirly Cows huddled up and waiting for the storm to pass. That’s where they’ll stay until the roads are clear. Speaking of staying put, today’s the perfect day to stay warm by the fire with a big bowl of your favorite Turkey Hill ice cream.

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.

February 13th, 2008 at 8:20 pmHere in Virginia was rainy and warm tonight it is cold and rainy. Weather in this area changes so quickly it is hard to know what temp it will be in afternoons when the mornings start out at 60 degrees. Guess that is why we love it here. Do wish we could have a little snow this year–

February 13th, 2008 at 7:53 amI agree with you that it is best to keep those Swirly Cows off the roads during icy and snowy days. They are “udderly” unsuited for the multi-car pileups that are happening around Pennsylvania right now. But how about some giant earmuffs to make them look warmer???
