We asked for your votes and you delivered! Over 15,000 votes were cast in the first four days of Turkey Hill’s Ultimate Flavor Tournament and eight winners have emerged from the Sweet 16 round. Those favorites will now face off as the “Delicious Eight.” The new polls are up on the right, so be sure to get your votes in to decide who makes it to the “Frosty Four!”
Remember, at the end of the tournament, we’ll give away a free one month supply of ice cream to 10 commenters chosen at random and one lucky reader will receive a ONE YEAR supply of ice cream.

Raspberry Duetto vs. Light Recipe Moose Tracks
“These are two very different flavors, except for the fact that both are lower in fat and calories than most ice creams. Both cruised to easy wins over their competition in the first round, so I expect a hard fought battle here. In the end, I predict a narrow win by Moose Tracks over the Duetto rookie.”
All Natural Mint Chocolate Chip vs. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Frozen Yogurt
“Mint Chocolate Chip had the biggest margin of victory in the first round and really looks strong in this tournament. It’s got momentum, it’s got flavor and it definitely has fans. It’ll take an upset for frozen yogurt to win this match-up.”
Eagles Touchdown Sundae vs. Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup
“I’ll be watching this one closely throughout the week. Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup is a favorite in the tournament, but Eagles Touchdown Sundae is coming off a big upset over Phillies Graham Slam in the first round. Anything can happen here.”
Vanilla Bean vs. Black Raspberry
“Does anyone stand a chance against the vanilla powerhouse in this tournament? There are a few flavors that might be able to put up a fight, but I think this might be the end of the line for Black Raspberry. Don’t get me wrong, I love Black Raspberry, but they just look a little overmatched here.”

As much as I am not a Vanilla person, I think it will beat out my beloved Black Raspberry.

Sorry folks, you can’t touch the All Natural Mint Chololate Chip in this tourney. It will freeze the competition right out of the box! Besides, you can’t go against the green on St. Patrick’s Day!
Oh, my, since health problems have downgraded my ice cream consumption to minimal and infrequent….this tournament is making me VERY ANXIOUS! I would love to load my freezer with every competing flavor and give each a substantial taste test. But, alas, my dr. has my hands tied….no ice cream scooping allowed.

It appears that the front runners are the more traditional flavors. Simple, but elegant!
The number one USA Olympic canadate should be Vanilla Bean. So versitile, you can add anything to it as fruit and it goes so well with warm apple crisp.
I made brownies yesterday and served with vanilla ice cream,(turkey hill of course) they are a great combination.

This is hard to do, especially when 2 of my favorites are together and I have so many favorite flavors but the top of my list is Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and Moose Tracks.
I just voted after looking at the flavor descriptions once again. It’s such a tough decision especially for the ice cream lovers.

How can I possibly choose between Black Raspberry and Vanilla Bean? They are both wonderful and even better together.
I’m just not a chocolate fan, so I can’t even bring myself to vote on the sports vs. peanut butter; but it made for an easy decision on the duetto vs. light. I’m not a mint fan either, but I’m a sucker for the cookie dough, so that was a no-brainer. And as much as I dig fruit, I think nothing will ever beat a classic. That’s why they’re called CLASSIC!
I’ve not seen Cherry Orchard sherbert in the contest and that is my absolute all time favorite. I just love the way it is loaded with humungous sweet black cherries.

This one I am being nice to hubby by giving him the vote. I am sure he will pick the Moose Tracks and Peanut Butter which I would differ but then again we often do that at elections. We did both want that Box of Chocolate which I never found in all our local stores. It could be that it sounded sooo good those that found it bought mutiple packages of it.
Man, this is tough! How can anyone pick just one favorite flavor of TH ice cream? My favorites change with my moods. Decisions, decisions! Some of the choices were easy and some too hard. Classic Vanilla goes with so many things… including fresh black raspberries! I almost always keep vanilla in the freezer (I put some in my coffee this morning) but for a second choice it just depends on my mood!
Light Moose Tracks is the best…..It is hard to believe that it is a “light” ice cream….

Although, never underestimate the the power of a true classic (as they truly never do go out of style like the trendier ones do)….vanilla. I love the Mint Chocolate Chip but Chocolate Marshmallow is my real favorite. It must be everyone’s favorite because I have a hard time finding it in the supermarket.
I am not a big fan of chocolate ice cream with chocolate in it. Would rather have the peanut butter cups in vanilla ice cream. But hey you can’t please all the people all the time and there are enough flavors for someone to find one they like.
You know how I like Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup ice cream, but Turkey Hill Tin Roof Sundae is pretty good too. How come that one didn’t make the cut?

Southern Lemon Pie and the Lemon Duetto seem to have gotten left out of this round.I can never find the Southern Lemon Pie even though the Turkey Hill calendar had it listd for distribution in January. This is one that should be a regular year round. Getting to the ones in the race at hand, there is no flavor that can ever beat VANILLA BEAN. It’s a flavor that is savored and can go very well with any dessert. GO VANILLA BEAN

My daughter had her wisdom teeth out yesterday, so my kids have eaten a whole carton of Vanilla Bean light in peanut-butter-banana-chocolate smoothies in less than 24 hours. I went to the store to get more ice cream, and they had Turkey Hill ice cream samples. This was my first time for the Root Beer Duetto. Yum!
