ROUND FOUR: THE FINAL MATCH-UP IS HERE
Posted by: Turkey Hill Team
First of all, let’s give a big round of applause (and by “big round” we mean “big bowl”) to Raspberry Duetto and Mint Chocolate Chip. They may have lost their match-ups in last week’s round of the Ultimate Flavor Tournament, but they still finished among the top four flavors and that’s something to be proud of. Both fought hard over the last few weeks and we expect, with a little off-season training and improvement that they’ll be back in next year’s tournament ready to make another run at the title.
Which brings us to our final two flavors: Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and Vanilla Bean. They’re both great and both are worthy of the “Ultimate Flavor” title. But who will win? That’s up to you. Voting begins right now (on the right) and the winner will be crowned next Monday.
Once again, at the end of the tournament, we’ll give away a free one month supply of ice cream to 10 commenters chosen at random and one lucky reader will receive a ONE YEAR supply of ice cream. Also once again, here’s Ernie with his opinion of this historic match-up:
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup vs. Vanilla Bean
“These two flavors couldn’t be more different, but I’m not surprised to see these two facing off in the final week. Vanilla is a classic – a staple of the root beer float or banana split and capable of being topped with just about anything – while Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup is chock full of goodies and represents the perfect marriage of two of the greatest flavors ever created by nature.
I can’t predict a winner here, but this is essentially a battle of new school versus old school. One is the product of (relatively) modern ice cream flavor technology and the other has been around since the earliest days of ice cream history. Look for this one to come down the wire, with only a handful of votes separating these two fierce competitors.”

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.

Any flavor is great as long as it has a little chocolate in it!
May 2nd, 2008 at 5:59 pmmy vote is the WORLD WIDE BEST VANILLA TURKEY HILL ICE CREAM,
April 20th, 2008 at 7:21 pmno problem my family loves both chocolate peanutbutter and vanilla so we can always have both on hand , we love Turkey Hill ,it is only ice cream we do buy in our household;
April 15th, 2008 at 5:33 pmVanilla Bean ,is most wonderful , best tastful and world wide creamy delight dessert, my family just loves
April 8th, 2008 at 10:07 amMy family loves the peanut butter cup…we also love all the flavors with nuts…actually I think we would enjoy a different flavor a day for a month….keep the contests coming..
April 6th, 2008 at 8:20 pmVanilla Bean is just so versatile. It’s hard to find anyone that does not like Vanilla.
April 6th, 2008 at 3:57 pmI always look for a reason to eat chocolate and peanut butter. I have never had to make up a reason to eat Turkey Hill chocolate peanut butter cup. It is my favorite hands down.
April 6th, 2008 at 8:06 amBean is the best!
April 5th, 2008 at 6:50 pmSometimes I just want Vanilla.Other times I want the whole sha-bang like Chocolate Peanut Butter. No wonder it’s neck and neck in the polls. I can’t make up my mind. Oh dear! Let’s ask Barrack and Hillary what they think!
April 5th, 2008 at 11:15 amSometimes I just want vanilla, but other times I like the whole sha-bang
April 5th, 2008 at 11:13 amlike Chocolate Peanut Butter. No wonder it’s neck and neck in the polls. I love them both and can not put one above the other.
go chocolate peanut butter cup!
April 4th, 2008 at 8:39 pmCongratulations!! on being tops in Pa.
April 4th, 2008 at 2:33 pmThere is something to be said for ice cream after tonsil removal, it works to soothe the throat. I’m still voting for chocolate peanut butter cup.
Where, oh where can my Fried Ice Cream
April 4th, 2008 at 1:52 pmbe
That the Turkey Hill Calendar promised
to me?
An April exciting, exotic flavor
To taste, to lick, to devour, to savor.
Meanwhile, I’m having great fun eating
up
My current favorite: CHOCOLATE PEANUT
BUTTER CUP!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup all the way, baby! It deserves some recognition. Vanilla’s already known as the most popular, sales-wise.
April 4th, 2008 at 10:19 amWow! A dead heat. I can’t believe it. I must’ve led a sheltered youth. I never realized vanilla was so popular. The only plus noted by many folks is that it can be dressed up in so many different ways.
But Choco PB can be dressed up too - choclate crunchies, chocolate syrup, caramel, fudge, cherries, whipped cream, and my favorite BACON!!!!!!!!!!
I still give my vote to Choco PB for being able to stand on its own, unadulterated and be something vanilla will never be - sinful!
April 3rd, 2008 at 9:18 pmI have to say that while I sit here eating the chocolate peanut butter, I have to vote for it;
April 3rd, 2008 at 8:10 pmbut I were eating the vanilla right now,
I would probably vote for it.
it is too close to call, I love them equally
Chocolate PB has to win!
April 3rd, 2008 at 7:49 pmChocolate Peanut Butter rules!
April 3rd, 2008 at 7:46 pmI love both flavors but, Vanilla bean is so much more versatile. I think I could eat vanilla bean with just about anything…except maybe asparagus…or brussel sprouts.
April 3rd, 2008 at 7:03 pmI’ll have to vote for vanilla; at least you can doctor it up with chocolate syrup or fresh fruit or butterscotch topping. But I can’t vote for a flavor with peanuts; ugh!!!!
April 3rd, 2008 at 5:37 pmLove them both but whoever heard of adding choc.peanut butter to a bowl of fresh strawberries in the summer or topping off a slice of good old apple pie with anything else by delish old fashioned vanilla bean…come on people think about it-you could always top off the vanilla with chocolate and peanut butter, but could you top off choc peanut butter with vanilla syrup?
April 3rd, 2008 at 4:44 pmI found Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and then couldn’t find it. I panicked. Then one day it showed up again. I am now the happiest girl in the whole USA.
April 3rd, 2008 at 4:32 pmI am saddened that my favorite is gone, so I voted for my husbands favorite, peanut butter cup!
April 3rd, 2008 at 3:42 pmvanilla, it’s a perfect canvas for any added flavors/toppings like caramel, chocolate chips, fresh berries, a mango and mint reduction in the summertime just to name a few, the possibilities are limitless……then sometimes, when i am just in a simple ice cream mood, the smooth taste and feel of vanilla ice cream just hits the spot…….
April 3rd, 2008 at 3:35 pmVanilla Bean is soooo plain Jane.
April 3rd, 2008 at 2:45 pmWhy would you want an ice cream where you
have to spend extra money on the accessories?
Chocolate with peanut butter is a whole wardrobe in itself!
Chocolate, strawberry, sasparilla…
aint nothin’ better than good ol’
April 3rd, 2008 at 12:30 pmVANILLA!!
Oh for rilla, it can only be vanilla!!!!
April 3rd, 2008 at 12:09 pmVanilla Bean has been my favorite ice cream since forever. I can add any topping to it to make it my own. YEAH VANILLA BEAN!!!!!!
April 3rd, 2008 at 5:51 amRAH RAH SHISH BOOM BAH!!!GO VANILLA!!
April 3rd, 2008 at 2:34 amI am a little disappointed but not surprised. Vanilla really is the most versitile of all. You can have it plain or add anything to it or add it to a lot of things. None of my favorites came to the final. Maybe next year. That seems to be a New York thing to say!
April 2nd, 2008 at 10:26 pmMy favorite is mint chocolate chip, but the kids finished off that carton tonight. Vanilla is pretty darn good melting on top of apple crisp. So I’ll vote for that. Now let’s go see what’s in the freezer downstairs. … vanilla, black cherry, peppermint stick, cookies and cream, root beer float, and more mint chocolate chip. The mint chocolate chip came upstairs, but my vote here goes to vanilla.
April 2nd, 2008 at 9:24 pmThe two are running neck and neck. My choice is the chocolate peanut butter cup which will take first place. It has too much going for it. Today I purchased TH’s Southern Lemon Pie. I crave anything that has lemon in it so I know I will enjoy that.
April 2nd, 2008 at 8:57 pmVanilla is my favorite, but I voted for Chocolate Peanut Butter to give Vanilla a chalenge. Love the contest. Now who will be the winner?
April 2nd, 2008 at 8:51 pmOH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!! 99 Comments later and We’re still neck and neck!!!! Sad news: Last night I finished off my last bowl of Box of Chocolates, “the best flavor I’ve had all year!!!!!!!!!!!!” and my new favorite! But the good news is: I still have a container of banana split in the freezer calling my name!!!
April 2nd, 2008 at 8:51 pmGO CPBC GO!!!!!!!!! Go For The Gold!!!!
I voted for Vanilla Bean because it’s so versatile,, but ALL the Turkey Hill flavors are winners in my book! Lets giver Ernie and his crew, the award for making all these delicious flavors!
April 2nd, 2008 at 8:43 pmNow that I’m reading the blog with all the Vanilla fans why are we losing?
April 2nd, 2008 at 2:04 pmI used to be a huge mix in fan but in recent year my tastes have changed. I’m not shocked at the result so far but a I eat my vanilla every night I think of this contest.
April 2nd, 2008 at 2:03 pmWell it looks as if Vanilla may not hold onto it’s lead. I’m not that surprise but a little disappointed.
April 2nd, 2008 at 2:02 pmChocolate peanut butter is a total classic.
April 2nd, 2008 at 12:31 pmCPBC can absolutely stand alone, but you are limited to one flavor. Vanilla Bean is delicious by itself, or can be embellished with anything. Your options are endless with TH VB. There’s nothing plain about it. GO VANILLA BEAN GO!!!
April 2nd, 2008 at 11:28 amWell, since my real favorite, Peanut Butter Ripple isn’t in the running, I have voted for the closest choice, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. But, I still prefer peanut butter and vanilla icecream over chocolate.
April 2nd, 2008 at 9:00 amWhen it’s this close, every vote counts. Come on you Vanilla Bean fans. Let your voice be heard…..This is all a reminder for us that our votes are important in the presidential election too!
April 2nd, 2008 at 8:37 amVanilla bean is THE flavor for me and my family. It is so versatile. It can be eaten plain or with so many different toppings. Who cannot love vanilla bean?
April 1st, 2008 at 11:52 pmGive me vanilla bean anytime–with chocolate syrup& salted peanuts –yum, yum, yum also great with peaches or rasberries–can’t beat it!!
April 1st, 2008 at 11:09 pmvanilla bean is the one for me because then i can add any topping i want to–if i want to this is my favorite
April 1st, 2008 at 10:10 pmLet me see, they are both so good! I guess if I really have to choose it would be Vanilla Bean, no no wait, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. I think I have to have some of each and vote later :).
April 1st, 2008 at 9:55 pmVanilla Bean can always fill the Spot!!
April 1st, 2008 at 9:55 pmBut when you need some thing really tempting and GOOD give ME Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup #1 it can’t be beat…
I have always liked Vanilla BEan as it
April 1st, 2008 at 9:46 pmdoes go with every thing. But for just a dish or cone give me Chocolate Peanut BUtter, my all time FAVE !!!
I AGREE VANILLA BEAN IS GOOD……
BUT I STILL SAY NOTHING BEATS THE….
YES….CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER…YES
C-H-O-C-L-A-T-E-P-E-A-N-U-T-B-U-T-T-E-R-
THAT IS FINAL….WINNER……
April 1st, 2008 at 9:43 pmTurkey Hill Vanilla is the best Vanilla but Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup is still better by far.!.!.!.!.!
April 1st, 2008 at 8:59 pmBoth Flavors are wonderful…. The final four are great…… BUT The crux of the matter is that Vanilla goes with anything else !!!
April 1st, 2008 at 8:14 pmVanilla may be an old flavor, but it certainly has stood the test of time all on its own. It’s hard to get rid of good things! Go, vanilla! You’re always a winner–summer, fall, winter or spring.
April 1st, 2008 at 7:23 pmYAY! CPBC is in the lead! GO, GO, GO!
April 1st, 2008 at 7:21 pmI chose vanilla bean because it tastes like the home-made ice cream that we made when I was a youngster. I had a difficult choice to make because I chocolate peanut butter cup is one of my favorites, too.
April 1st, 2008 at 7:06 pmWell if my REAL favorite can’t win, I agree with Ernie that you can enjoy the Vanilla plain or with all kinds of goodies on it !!! & the best season for enjoying it is ( I hope ) soon to be with us…
April 1st, 2008 at 7:05 pmVanilla Bean is still the best day in day out ice cream
April 1st, 2008 at 6:44 pmput diluted peanut butter over either one and you have a winner!!
April 1st, 2008 at 6:37 pmAs a choc-a-holic, it has to be chocolate peanut butter cup.
April 1st, 2008 at 6:26 pmHelp!! There is no place on my screen for me to VOTE! And I want to vote for Chocolate Peanut Butter.
April 1st, 2008 at 6:05 pmBoth flavors are so very good! I see humor that there is competition between new vs old even in ice cream. April Fool’s are those not eating Turkey Hill!
April 1st, 2008 at 6:05 pmI prefer French vanilla (Freedom vanilla)over vanilla bean. Chocolate peanut butter is yummy!
April 1st, 2008 at 5:47 pmVANILLA IS NUMBER ONE WITH US ,YOU CAN TOP IT OFF WITH ANYTHING OR EVERTHING.
April 1st, 2008 at 5:38 pmChocolate peanut butter cup is the very best. Vanilla has had it’s day. But you’ve all got to try light chocolate chip. Unbellievable!!
April 1st, 2008 at 5:11 pmI had to vote “Vanilla Bean”. A versital & classic flavor you never tire of, not like some of the more exotic flavor combinations. Chocolate is also good, but vanilla takes the cake!
BTW, as far a chocolate is concerned does anyone remeber TH’s Death by Chocolate? That was my favorite flavor: deep, dark, rich chocolate—like eating a candy bar! And even in light so you could eat more! Yet, haven’t seen it in some time.
April 1st, 2008 at 5:01 pmWe are voting for chocolate peanut butter cup!! But to be truthful vanilla bean is really our second choice, then I must mention eggnog.
April 1st, 2008 at 4:59 pmVanilla needs to be dressed up or on top of something Chocolate peanutbutter cup can stand alone!!
April 1st, 2008 at 4:27 pmTogether, they’re the best!!
April 1st, 2008 at 4:05 pmVanilla Bean is still Number one ,it goes with any dessert.
April 1st, 2008 at 3:58 pmAlthough I love them both, I just had to vote for the peanut butter. Vanilla bean will always be good also, but yum for the other.
April 1st, 2008 at 3:30 pmWow I had to scroll down forever to make my comments. Glad to see so many people involved.
April 1st, 2008 at 3:17 pmYes Vanilla is a classic. Great with sprinkles on top or in a glass with orange soda poured over it or even in an orange blossom
It gets my vote
Moose Tracks junkie weighing in here…I just have to point out that you can basically have all the flavors in the final match up in MT or Chocolate MT!
April 1st, 2008 at 3:05 pmTough choice, but my vote is going to CPBC.
To Joseph Ruff- when I die, I want to come back as your cat! I don’t know of any other felines that get to help eat the Turkey Hill!!
I didn’t think the voting would be this close - I hope Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup takes home the gold medal though!
April 1st, 2008 at 2:47 pmanything chocolate i love
April 1st, 2008 at 2:36 pmGood choices.
April 1st, 2008 at 2:17 pmVanilla is a very soothing flavor any day of the week, month or year.
April 1st, 2008 at 2:06 pmVanilla Bean first &forever
April 1st, 2008 at 1:28 pmThis is really a hard choice, but Choc. Peanut butter is still my first choice.
April 1st, 2008 at 1:11 pmThis is going to be one good race to the very end. Good luck to both flavors.th
Sorry, top-two-flavors, but I’m submitting a “write in” vote for TURKEY HILL Rocky Road. I buy it 95% of the time, and it is my personal best.
April 1st, 2008 at 1:05 pmI guess someone saw my recommendation to go to Wegmans for the Box of Chocolates flavor I think it was Caroline that said she bought it there. Anyway my vote is for chocolate peanut butter cup and again eveyone here loves it and it also has a great source of protein built in. GOOOOOOOOOO all the way chocolate peanut butter cup and as usual Turkey Hill is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 1st, 2008 at 1:03 pmVanilla goes with everthing
April 1st, 2008 at 12:55 pmwe like all kinds of turkey hill ice
April 1st, 2008 at 12:45 pmcream but we buy vanilla the most.
both are very good , hard to choose. but i vote for chocolate peanut butter cup. bill
April 1st, 2008 at 12:34 pmGO VANILLA! YEA!
April 1st, 2008 at 12:00 pmBetween these 2, it’s vanilla for me. You can use vanilla so many different ways to make so many yummy things. I believe it’s a winner!
April 1st, 2008 at 11:29 amI don’t understand why more votes haven’t been cast for Original Vanilla. Try putting Raspberry Duetto on Bananas Foster. Yuck !!
April 1st, 2008 at 11:23 amI think ernie told us in the last contest that Vanilla was the top seller everywhere, I could be mistaken though. I’m going with Vanilla. Amy
April 1st, 2008 at 11:17 amVanilla Bean all the way! You can add just about anything to it, if you want, or just have it au naturale. I prefer mine with hot fudge and nuts.
April 1st, 2008 at 10:49 amVanilla all the way - with hot fudge sauce or frozen blueberries and rasberries or crushed up cookies, etc.
April 1st, 2008 at 10:33 amIt is soooo hard to pick between these two….I love them both! I chose the chocolate peanut butter cup but love the vanilla too!
April 1st, 2008 at 10:08 amTurkey Hill Vanilla is a CLASSIC.
April 1st, 2008 at 9:50 amIt is so versatile, dress it up or enjoy it’s pure flavor.
Sure, Vanilla Bean is great with pie . . . but Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup is great all the time, all on its own!
April 1st, 2008 at 9:49 amI’m for CPBC- the more complex the better. I think Party Cake got robbed by not being in the tourney!
April 1st, 2008 at 9:43 amI never turn down any ice cream. My choice is to eat them together in the same bowl. Its always exciting to have different flavors. Yea to vanilla bean and to chocolate peanut butter!
April 1st, 2008 at 9:32 amNothing is as versatile as Vanilla Bean. Would you want fruit pie ala mode with Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup? Can’t wait to see which one wins. This has been fun!!
April 1st, 2008 at 9:08 amWow!!! Could this race be any closer???
I figured the classic Vanilla would win by a mile, but CPBC is really holding it’s own! If it were just vanilla, I could understand all the “plain” arguments… but Vanilla Bean has that extra little something (ahem… grains of the actual BEANS) that give it that kick which keeps it from being just plain vanilla.
Of any candy in the world, chocolate peanut butter cups are probably my favorite. But combining them WITH my ice cream… too much. Go Vanilla Bean, Go!!!
April 1st, 2008 at 8:43 amI love your vanilla, but I love peanut chocolate better. peanut and chocolate is sooooo good you can’t stop eating it. I love both, but peanu butter and chocolate won my heart
April 1st, 2008 at 8:40 amI know Vanilla is versitile…but if your a chocoholic like me you have to vote for Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup.
April 1st, 2008 at 8:37 amI compare the final two selections to a half cup of water. Is one cup half full and the other half empty. No matter what I choose, both answers are correct. Both ice cream flavors are the right choice. They should both be in a “TIE”
April 1st, 2008 at 8:32 amWhat would ice cream be if not for vanilla !!!
April 1st, 2008 at 8:25 amTough choice… as a kid I was never much of a vanilla fan… the flavor was too, uh, vanilla for me. But now that I’m older and my palate is more sophisticated, I see the attraction for good, old vanilla bean. I just can’t pick the winner… really difficult!
April 1st, 2008 at 8:19 amSo it comes down to vanilla and chocolate! (with peanut butter of course) How ironic! If it were French Vanilla I’d have to vote for the vanilla, but this time the chocolate peanut butter cup got my vote. Rich and creamy smooth…simply delicious!
April 1st, 2008 at 8:01 amVanilla Bean is a classic!
April 1st, 2008 at 7:59 amVanilla bean is great and you can do a lot with it (on apple pie, with sauces on it, with Maine maple syrup on it; however, chocolate peanut butter is just so good by the spoonful or in a dish!!! Yay!!
April 1st, 2008 at 7:58 amThis was a tough choice but I picked Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. It’s just so creamy and tasty and Vanilla Bean is perfect for pie ala mode. It would be fine if they tied because it’s a really hard decision. Wish all my decisions would be so mouth-watering
April 1st, 2008 at 7:42 amThanks Turkey Hill!
The chocolate/peanut butter combination can’t be beat. It’s a close race, but my vote goes to the chocolate/peanut butter!
April 1st, 2008 at 7:31 amChocolate all the way!!! Not a big fan of vanilla…I think it will go all the way down to the wire.
April 1st, 2008 at 7:24 amVanilla Bean is the best
April 1st, 2008 at 7:17 amI love both chocolate peanut butter and vanilla. I hope that they continue to be a tie! It would be nice to have two first place winners. Good luck to both ice creams.
April 1st, 2008 at 7:16 amSo according to the percentages that come up when you vote - it’s a tie right now! What happens if the two flavors tie?
April 1st, 2008 at 7:04 amI am amazed and very pleased that my forever favorite is still on the list. GO VANILLA! Love ya!!
April 1st, 2008 at 7:00 amVanilla is my choice, a flavor I have loved for over 50 years. It is SO hard to choose one flavor over another. All the Turkey Hill flavors are winners to me!
April 1st, 2008 at 6:49 amThe versatility of vanilla is what makes it best. Example: you just picked some raspberries…what can you put them on…Vanilla! Chocolate peanut butter is a fantastic flavor, but that’s it - it’s chocolate peanut butter. Vanilla can be used for whatever you are craving (you can even put peanut butter and chocolate on it!)
April 1st, 2008 at 6:20 amI love both, but I voted for the chocolate peanut butter cup. Tough decision!
April 1st, 2008 at 5:45 amChocolate Peanut Butter Cup is the best!!!
April 1st, 2008 at 5:36 amVanilla Bean all the way
April 1st, 2008 at 5:19 amMy vote is for Vanilla Bean…The most Vanillisious or is that Beanilisious Ice Cream on the planet!!! Perhaps TH ought to concoct flavors for the presidential elections to symbolize the parties themselves. Here are a few possible name suggestions. DEMOCRAT DILEMMA - A blend of vanilla, chocolate and caramel with some dirt thrown in. How about REPUBLICAN RUST - just mix some old leftover flavors together. Pennsylvania will after all select the next president…..
April 1st, 2008 at 4:46 amCongrats to all the finalists, but only one tasty flavor can top the sundae of the competition. Will it be classic vanilla or decadent peanut butter? It is so hard to choose. But whichever flavor wins, everyone wins with a big bowl of Turkey Hill. Thanks for the tastiest competition ever.
April 1st, 2008 at 4:45 amMy vote is in also - I will take Vanilla Bean. I guess I am still the oh not exciting person. Vanilla Bean, you can do SO many things with it! Keep up the good work Turkey Hill. Just please, please get it in the South!
April 1st, 2008 at 4:23 amI can’t agree more with R. Frazer. He took the words out of my mouth, I mean blog. Since on this vote hubby & I agree I will let him vote. You should have had that “Box of chocolate” as a choice. Today I went back to Wegman’s to get 2 more being a nice sister I will give one up to my sister
March 31st, 2008 at 10:34 pmCPBC is WINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go CPBC go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 31st, 2008 at 9:53 pma fan of CPBC forever!! the perfect blend of flavors - and hits the spot every time!! Please keep the votes coming in!! It’s sooooo close!!
March 31st, 2008 at 8:56 pmIt’ll be vanilla, I thought that from the start, eventhough I didn’t ever vote for it. The only time I ever buy vanilla is to go with pie, for root beer floats or something like that, but on it’s own….blah..talk about being “vanilla.” I’m a flavor girl, no one could ever accuse me of being vanilla. Although, when I was pregnant with my daughter, I chose to drink vanilla milk shakes over chocolate, how weird is that??
March 31st, 2008 at 7:58 pmvanilla for me
March 31st, 2008 at 6:30 pmYAH! Plain old vanilla is so BORING! It is NOTHING alone - you have to spruce it up with fruits and flavors and stuff to make it worth eating. CPBC is GREAT all by itself. It don’t need no steenkin’ toppin’s!
March 31st, 2008 at 4:26 pmI have to go with Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. Just over-the-top goodness.
March 31st, 2008 at 2:24 pmWe agree with Ice Cream Eric. Just be sure to take plenty of breaks to avoid brain freeze!
March 31st, 2008 at 1:29 pmWhat a battle between the classic flavor of all time and a flavor considered to be in its infancy by comparison. There is only one way to settle this match-up…eat as much of them as you can and vote, vote, vote!
March 31st, 2008 at 1:25 pmIt doesn’t surprise me about vanilla. The reason it’s so popular is because you CAN pair it with just about anything. Nothing better than apple pie w/vanilla ice cream or blueberry buckle with vanilla ice cream. Yum, yum, yum.
March 31st, 2008 at 12:57 pmWow Vanilla Bean and Chocolate Peanut Butter are Neck and Neck!!!!!!!!!! Makes me want to go eat some Chocolate Peanut Butter right now!!!!!!!!!!!
March 31st, 2008 at 12:14 pmDoes the Winner go into the Ice Cream Hall of Fame??? This is so exciting!!
Seriously, vanilla? The reason it’s in floats and sundaes is because it’s too boring to eat alone. Bring on the chocolate and peanut butter!
March 31st, 2008 at 11:08 amI really thought Mint Chocolate Chip would win out over Vanilla but I guess I’m not all that different then the rest of the ice cream loving population. I’m really curious to see teh results of this final match up. Only one more week to go.
March 31st, 2008 at 11:02 amIt’s funny to be supporting and literally eating Vanilla every night. A few years ago my vote would have been completely different. I used to be a real mix in fan and chocolate would always win out over Vanilla.
March 31st, 2008 at 11:00 amWe’ll my vote is in. I’ve been a Vanilla Bean supporter from the start.
