Actually I got my tonsils removed yesterday morning (it’s just after midnight right now, lol) and one of the only things I could eat was Turkey Hill Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. It actually helps and is very nice. I don’t find I have a lot of phlegm because I drink water with it. Thanks for helping me Turkey Hill!

P.S. I am 17 years old though. lol.

I promised my daughter that she could have all the ice cream she wanted after getting her tonsils out. When the doctor said it was not a good idea – you should have seen her face (mine too because I was going to keep her company). Needless to say, we did have some Turkey Hill to make us both feel better!

My 14yo daughter had all four of her wisdom teeth out just before Easter. She and my son ate smoothies made of Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean ice cream, peanut butter, banana, chocolate syrup, and a little milk to keep her fed. They went through a whole carton of Vanilla Bean in a day. She wasn’t supposed to use a straw, so these were a little runnier than milkshakes. She has healed well and was very happy to be eating Turkey Hill ice cream.

Vanilla is versatile. Go Vanilla!

Hi everyone, have anyone try Box of chocolate ice cream..I had to call some store to find this ice cream..you should try it…it’s taste so good..it’a like eating a box of chocolate candy….I almost ate the whole box up in one night…that how good it was….Turkey hill come up with teh best ice cream in the world. After I had my tonsils out I enjoyed ice cream and freeze pops. Oh well the two week wait will be worth it, then you can enjoy all the Turkey Hill you like. .

I found that out when our sons had theirs out. They survived on popsicles just fine. Of course that was before we tasted or had access to Turkey Hill products.

Caroline..glad to see I’m not the only one with a stash of “Box of Chocolates” My local grocer finally started carrying the limited edtion flavors. I love any of the Milk Chocolate based flavors and fell in love with this one at first bite.

Hey TH..why not turn this flavor into a regular and give us some other limited edition flavors.

Too late for me we got icecream in the 50′s after having tonsils removed …. not that you wanted to eat it it was too painful to even let the melted icecream trickle down!

Thanks for the info. It could benefit my grandchildren in the future. As for me, I had my tonsils removed when I was 3 and yes, they did give me ice cream afterwards. Unfortunately, the pain was too excruciating to endure. It’s one of my earliest memories, being unable to enjoy ice cream. I’ve made up for that since!

I’ve never had my tonsils removed, and I don’t look forward to the day if I ever have to. I remember when this article was first published thinking, would Duetto be ok? Because I sure do get a lot of comfort out of that Mango Duetto…

Hopefully most of us will never have to have our tonsils out but it’s nice to know that we can still have a Turkey Hill product and know that it will be delicious, if we should need that surgery.

Back to my “Box of Chocolate” Tonite I looked into the box and it was almost gone. Last nite I played Majong and afterwards had some of my stash of “Box of Chocolate” Tonite I found out how much I ate last nite. It was a lot so I finished it tonite. Spoke to my sister who I said I was giving a spare box and she told me she found it in her local ShopRite. I told then you don’t need my spare box. She said I tasted it and yes I do need your spare box. I will follow thru with what I said and regretfully cede her the box.
I hope it is appearing in the stores for Mother’s Day. If so how about also bringing it back in August to celebrate the month of no holidays.
