It started with 16 flavors, but only one would be named the winner. After four weeks and over 20,000 of your votes, the winner of the first annual Turkey Hill Ultimate Flavor Tournament is…Vanilla Bean! In the final round of the tournament, Vanilla Bean narrowly beat Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup by a 52 percent to 48 percent margin (257 votes to 238 votes) to take the title.
We really couldn’t have asked for a closer final match-up. The race went back and forth all week, with Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup actually leading by just a few votes as late as Friday afternoon. But in the end, it was the ever versatile Vanilla Bean taking home the win. A big congratulations goes out to Vanilla Bean and all of its fans. As for Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, don’t worry. It’ll return next year to make another run for the title.
Speaking of next year, the Ultimate Flavor Tournament will be back, but since it can only feature 16 flavors, we need your help to decide which ones should be included in the Sweet 16 next March. On the right is a series of polls featuring all of the Turkey Hill flavors that weren’t included in this year’s tournament line-up. If there’s any that you’d like to see in next year’s games, now’s your chance to sound off.
Also, as promised, today we’ll be choosing one comment at random from the past four weeks to receive a year’s supply of Turkey Hill ice cream. Ten others will also be chosen to receive a one month supply. We’ll let you know who the winners are as soon as we can. Good luck!

You can never go wrong with Vanilla. I think it’s the add ins that are the key. You can add smashed pretzels or put it in coke or rootbeer. You can have it with pie or put caramel on it. So…Vanilla deserves to win.

I wasn’t surprised to see Vanilla Bean win the contest,, but to be honest,,, as far as it winning because “its so versatile”,,,,, I do that with alot of the flavors! If you use your imagination, you can make all sorts of combo’s!
Well I was originally voting for vanilla but changed in the end to choc. peanut butter cup. As it goes vanilla can be plain and good if not feeling well. It can also be dressed up with toppings as many as you want . Great topper or add in to pies and fruit desserts or to make an icecream soda. Whatever Turkey Hill always rocks for quality and great taste.

What about a sherbet flavor vote? I think Cherry Orchard is the all time best flavor TH ever made. I have not been able to find it at my Giant lately and am having withdrawal symptoms.
I think your cows are the Winners ,they give the great texture and rich cream to any flavor, but my best pick is vanilla .

I eat vanilla literally every night. The other flavors sound fantastic but I was happy to see vanilla take the title.

seller? I know there are lots and lots of serious Turkey Hill consumers out there that do not have computers, especially senior citizens. Turkey Hill’s best-selling ice cream in 2007 was….drumroll….Vanilla Bean! It was closely followed by Neopolitan and Butter Pecan. Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup didn’t show up until tenth place!

I think Vanilla Bean is appropriate for March Madness. After all, it is very much a team player and combines with so many other syrups, nuts, fruits, and flavors. Thank you, TURKEY HILL. This was another fun contest.

My hat is off to Vanilla Bean! My absolute favorite. I eat it plain…I eat it dressed up…I eat it anyway I can. I love trying all the flavors but I keep coming back to Vanilla Bean.

Both vanilla and chocolate peanut butter cup are too plain for me. I really enjoy more complex ice creams like Gertrude Hawk Box of Chocolates.

I love Turkey Hill Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream! There is no other ice cream on the market that comes close to it in taste. My local store did not have it and I went 15 miles to another store just to get it. I will make the trip everytime to get it as it is worth it! Keep making Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream!!!
