That’s a Saturday, so your day should be wide open already, right? Hopefully it is, because on May 3rd, Turkey Hill will be hosting its ninth annual Country Classic at the Central Manor Church of God in Washington Boro, right here in Lancaster, PA. If you’re printing directions via MapQuest, the address is 387 Penn Street, Manor Township in Lancaster.
The Country Classic features sporting events for runners and cyclists, but it also includes lots of fun and games for the whole family. There will be free kids rides, games, costumed characters, music and, of course, the baby derby (featuring the fastest babies around!).
Turkey Hill’s very own Giant Cow will also make an appearance along with plenty of Turkey Hill ice cream and drinks, Hatfield hot dogs, and Herr’s chips. Snacks and drinks will be available by donation with all proceeds benefiting the Lancaster Farmland Trust. The Lancaster Farmland Trust is an organization Turkey Hill is very passionate about because they work hard to preserve beautiful farmland throughout Lancaster County.
More information about the Country Classic can be found on our website. Hope to see you there!

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
OH!!! I have to work, I wish I could go!!! Enjoy to those of you lucky enough to make the event! Sounds fabulous!!!
THIS SOUNDS GREAT, BUT I LIVE IN BRISTOL, CT…..TOO FAR TO GO…..
Thanks for the invite!!!
We are not traveling through Lancaster till May 16 and then maybe again in August. I would love to be part of your Country Classic. Maybe there will be something else exciting going on when I visit. Looking forward to eating at Millers! Enjoy!!
We will try to make it. Sounds like alot of fun! Thank you.
I would love to come, however, just a little to far away. I live in North Carolina even though my family is in the Harrisburg area, I will have them come for me. Maybe sometime again, when I get back home.
some people might not schedule activities regularly on weekends, but I am booked up until november almost every weekend, including this one.
I hope that you have a great time on May 3, I will be with my family having our own celebration and I plan to include Turkey Hill ice cream too.
We love all your products, keep up the
good work and the excellent products!
We will certainly try to make the fun
weekend, anything to do with Turkey Hill
is No 1 on our to do list!
Sounds like a great time and a great cause! As always Turkey Hill not only makes great ice cream but supports it’s community. Keep up the good work Turkey Hill!!!!!
My sister and son and his wife live near Lancaster and inform me of all the fun and events. My sister told me about some of the ice cream events also. Anything to do with ice cream is worth going and enjoying!!! Especially involving Turkey Hill!
Sounds like so much fun with all the activities for the whole family. I wish I could be there to enjoy it but it’s a little too far from where I live. I’ll have to console myself with a couple of bowls of TH ice cream!
We are always attending fun events, really any event with free ice cream is fun isn’t it? To keep track of all the events we are attending, or to find one close to you, check out the event calendar page on our website!
Would love to get to Lancaster for the event!!!
Sorry I can’t come…I have school and I have to study for test next week.
School will be over soon (college)
I am going to buy January ice cream call Southern Lemon pie. I hope Shopper Warehouse had that kind. That is where I shope.
Sounds like a fun filled day! We are too far away to join the fun, but we hope you have a huge turn out and make lots of money and support for The Lancaster Farmland Trust. Way to go TH!
