MARCH POLL: IS YOUR FREEZER OVERFLOWING WITH MOOSE TRACKS?

Is it really May already? Hard to believe, isn’t it? Hopefully some more of that warm Spring weather we saw last week returns soon. It’d be nice to see some of those temperatures this weekend during our Country Classic (Saturday from 7am to 2pm, in case you forgot).
Our April Ice Cream Journal poll asked you which flavors you’d like to see in next year’s Ultimate Flavor Tournament. According to your votes, the favorites are:
Premium Flavor – Columbian Coffee
Light Flavor – Banana Split
All Natural Recipe – Chocolate
Creamy Commotions – Moose Tracks
Limited Edition – Southern Lemon Pie
Frozen Yogurt – Orange Cream Swirl
Duetto – Root Beer
Congrats to the fans of all those flavors. They will be among the many other flavors facing off in next March’s ice cream throw down.
As for this month’s poll (on the right), we want to know how many containers of ice cream you have in your freezer RIGHT NOW? Is it one or two, or are you one of those people (like many of us) who have to rearrange the meat and frozen veggies to make room for yet another container of French Vanilla? Feel free to sound off with your answer and with a comment below.

thanks for adding us! one of us REALLY loves your ice cream, especially the chocolate peanut butter. she also tried the southern lemon pie and was VERY impressed. turkey hill is great!
as for the number of ice cream cartons, i think combined, we all probably have 10 cartons between the three of us.
May 9th, 2008 at 8:43 pmThere are ALWAYS 2-4 boxes of ice cream in our freezer. I like coffee, mint & chocolate flavors, my husband likes more of the fruity flavors, especially the duettos & the root beer float. Then there’s my daughter who loves to eat ice cream with daddy & my flavors once in awhile too. So, gotta make everyone happy & one flavor just wouldn’t do. Plus some nights you feel like coffee, others skinny minty, so I like to have a few choices on hand b/c you never know what you’ll be in the mood for. Oh, yah, bring back coconut custard pie!!!! Have to also say I was a little disappointed with the chocolate/coconut duetto….something is off with that flavor, needs perfecting.

Right now I have two containers in my freezer. Where does one get your calendar? I try to keep up with your limited editions but I seldom see them where I shop. They do carry your flavors but I hardly see the limited editons. Fourteen servings from one carton? Laughable. I’m lucky to get three.

When my son is home from college I have at least 3 in the freezer. I love Duetto, he is a big fan of moose tracks and chocolate chip mint. I never have more than four at a time. He eats way too much ice cream, then again, Is there really too much ice cream! I don’t think so!!!!

May 2nd, 2008 at 2:23 pmIs my freezer overflowing with Moose Tracks? Ha ha ha- that will never happen! Once it gets to my freezer, it has a VERY short shelf life! Something else that makes me chuckle is that we’re SUPPOSED to get 14 servings out of one box. Is there any one out there that can actually make that happen? Also, one observation about the freezer picture. I see Lean Cuisine and Lite Cool Whip:a good lesson on how to make room for more calories from Turkey Hill!
May 2nd, 2008 at 2:12 pmI just bought the Gertrude Hawk Box of Chocolates. Wow wee, is it yummy. Too bad my store doesn’t stock it all the time so I guess I’m going back to the store for more before it’s sold out since it’s a limited edition.

But “I’m saving all my love” hoping that I’ll have reached my weight loss goals in time for the Baked Apple Dumpling to come back so I can enjoy a bunch!
??? What is this Pomegranate with Acai that has ZERO calories and sugar??? I have to seek this out so that maybe I don’t have to give up my Turkey Hill while on my diet after all!!!

May 2nd, 2008 at 8:36 amMy freezer is so full, I can’t fit another thing in it! Part of the reason is the 5 containers of TH ice creams! I’m not exactly sure what kinds are down there, but I try to keep everyone in the family happy! lol Needless to say, when the local store puts TH in sale, I try to stock up. I just wish I could get them to stock a bigger assortment and maybe even get rid of some of the other kinds they carry to make room for more TH!
May 2nd, 2008 at 8:34 amIn addition to the 4 containers of Turkey Hill, I just bought this morning 1 box of double decker and 1 box of strawberry cheescake T.H. ice cream sandwiches. They look yummy! I also went to buy the diet peach iced tea which I am literally addicted to, but the store was out of it. I bought the zero calorie Pomegranate with Acai instead. Though it is not marked diet, in very small print it says zero calories and it has no sugar. WHOA! This stuff is incredibly good. Glad I bought 3 containers. Hey how about a contest for the T.H. beverages?

May 2nd, 2008 at 8:16 amI down to one right now. But there are times when I keep up to 8 in my chest freezer! You can never keep too many on hand. Especially now with summer cook outs coming up.

May 2nd, 2008 at 7:49 amRight now I only have 2 containers of the Neopolitan Turkey Hill Yogurt in my freezer. I am on a cholesterol free diet and this ice cream, with no chol., helps me keep my sanity AND my weight down :). Unfortunately, I was lucky to get these 2 containers because the stores here just don’t stock the yogurt, even after I put in requests for them to order it. This is the best yogurt ice cream I have ever eaten. In fact, I can’t think of one flavor of Turkey Hill that I don’t like.

May 2nd, 2008 at 6:33 amI actually have three different Turkey Hill flavors in my freezer at the moment. They are all nonfat since both my husband and I have high cholesterol but still love ice cream. So don’t forget about having a variety of flavors for nonfat buyers.
May 2nd, 2008 at 5:06 amI just came back from Pa. and loaded up with great TURKEY HILL ice cream. A store was running a special plus like Peg, I used coupons. Extremely tricky to get back here to N.C. Made it without thawing! Keep up the good job Turkey Hill. The best ice cream around.
