AAAAAND, ACTION!

Posted by: Turkey Hill Team

This is, of course, a Turkey Hill ice cream blog, but we recently found something online and we wanted to featured it here on the Ice Cream Journal. It’s a home made commercial for our iced tea and we have to admit, the camera work isn’t half bad! Feel free to check it out below and let us know what you think.

This video actually got us thinking about the possibilities of a contest here on the Ice Cream Journal that asks all of you to try your directorial hand at creating your own commercial for Turkey Hill ice cream. Nothin’ fancy. Just some ice cream and a few actors. Do you think it’s a good idea?

My favorite Turkey Hill ice cream is the “Black Cherry.” I can’t believe how many HUGE, juicy, sweet and delicious black cherries are in it!

I do not like contests that are focused for only a few people. Yes, this particular contest brings out creativity in people; however, if you don’t have the technology to do so then you are out of luck.

Turkey Hill ice cream is yummy. A real cooler and so delicious. My favorite is butter pecan and I can eat it anytime and lots of it.

Best ice cream I’ve ever tasted and I have a dish every day!

this was so good, of course a mother would not allow her children to drink from the bottle like this, so I would have to rate this video Mature. and lots of fun

Maryann wrote:

Cute commercial. I drink green tea hot, now I’ll try it cold, thank you!!

Great idea to have a video contest. I’m sure you’ll see lots of clever ideas and I agree with Robbin that it might be a good class project. Of course we’re coming to the end of the school year now so maybe it could be put off till the fall or have a separate contest just for school kids.

I love the idea. Think of the fun everyone will have trying to come up with a really good commercial! I know someone who made a commercial for a radio station up there for a contest. It was a pretty good one, too, even if it didn’t win. ;o)

Great commercial!!

Turkey Hill diet green tea is great too! Especially if you need to watch your sugar intake. Hopefully, all these people who are saying about not drinking out of the container and having manners understand that this was on You Tube and not an actual Turkey Hill commercial - just a person at home filming.

Hi THT! Very creative! I’d love to see a contest of commercials/videos on T.H. products. I could even see a teacher using this as a class project. I am sure the results would be interesting and entertaining!

Turkey Hill Team wrote:

Good point, Mary! We don’t advocate drinking directly from the container. If you do plan to take swig from the jug, like Dani said, make sure you finish the entire thing!

mary frey wrote:

hope the next commmerical ,the person not drinking out of the container, the tea is good but use kids or family values , thank you

mary frey wrote:

I did not care for , we were tough manners in our day ,

Susan wrote:

drink Th ice tea any way you can. Container works especially when there are no glasses around. (You loose too much th Ice tea trying to drink it out of your hands!)

Dani wrote:

Call me new-fashioned, but I think it’s perfectly permissable to finish off the jug or carton if you know you’re going to finish the rest of it. Especially in the privacy of your own home.

At least that’s the excuse I use for eating my share. ;)

A commercial contest would be fun! And who knows what brilliant ideas people could come up with! Will the winner get to make a real commercial? I’d volunteer to be the actor who gets to eat a load of TH ice cream!!! :)

Rosemary wrote:

I liked the commercial, now I’ll have to try the TH green iced tea

Margaret M wrote:

That was a cute commercial for Turkey Hill iced tea and I’m sure there could be a lot of good ones for the ice cream as well and they would be fun to see but I can’t do it because I don’t have the technology, like a few others have stated.

Deb Kachel wrote:

I think it’s a great idea to have community made commercials for a community-based business, especially for ice cream, since it’s a wholesome treat that everyone likes.

brenda wrote:

the green tea is very good, i drink my ice tea out of a glass, sorry.

brenda wrote:

Good Morning to all,
that would be a good idea for the ice cream. I love your green tea, but I drink my ice tea out of a glass not a jug. I put a slice of lemon in it to.

Gloria wrote:

That is a really cute commercial. I could have made it myself since I drink TH green tea every day! I also love the peach tea and all the others!

Caroline wrote:

Now I will have to get a container for your ice cream to put a small portion in for my hubby while I eat the rest of the TH package

Stefanie Schmidt wrote:

I think it would be great to come up with a concept for a video, but I don’t have technology to make one. But I love Turkey Hill!

Jacqueline wrote:

Being tech challenged, I couldn’t offer anything, but it is a good idea. Good luck with it.

Christina M. wrote:

That sounds exciting. I agree about the green tea, I can never get enough!!! If it’s in the house it’s the only thing I’ll drink, till the carton’s empty.

mary frey wrote:

your green tea is really good , did not care for some to drink out of jug;;;
