CALENDAR PHOTO CONTEST: BLUE SKIES AND GIANT COWS
Posted by: Turkey Hill Team
Here’s a great photo submitted by Gideon A. of Boston, MA for our 2009 calendar photo contest. Of course, it’s a shot of our famous Giant Cow during her visit to Massachusetts not too long ago.
If you’ve got any ice cream or iced tea photos lying around, please submit them on the photo contest page of our website (the deadline is June 15). The best photos will earn a spot in our 2009 calendar. Remember, your photo MUST INCLUDE ice cream or iced tea and if it also includes a Turkey Hill package or logo, that’s even better. Of course, Gideon’s photo doesn’t contain ice cream, iced tea or a logo, but that’s okay because our Giant Cow is so recognizable on her own!

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.

Hey Everyone! I found a live giant cow! The cow is 6 foot 6 inches tall! A story on this cow named Chilli, aired on the NBC Today Show on May 16th. This cow resides in Somerset, England. You can see a clip titled “Holy Cow” on the Today Show site. Enjoy!

May 16th, 2008 at 8:56 amYour photos in the ‘08 calendar are beautiful…they give me a “Lancaster County peace of mind.” Only a few areas of the country come close to giving me that feeling.

May 16th, 2008 at 6:57 amWhat a great picture, I can’t wait for the new calendar.
May 16th, 2008 at 5:25 amGreat picture for the calendar. Like Sue’s suggestion on letting us vote on the top 12 from about 20 shots. We could vote by rating them 1 to 12 where 12 is the best and you can add up all the points and use the 12 highest of the 20 pictures.
May 15th, 2008 at 8:55 pmThat picture rocks! It’s so vibrant and bright!! I’d be happy to see that in the 09 Calendar!!

May 15th, 2008 at 7:24 pmA WONDERFUL COW HEAD SHOT,GOING PRINT IT AND PUT IT ON THE FREZZER ;;; WITH HEADING TURKEY HILL COW;;;
May 15th, 2008 at 6:16 pmI love the cow picture. She’ll look great as a June pin-up…Dairy Month. I grew up on a Wisconsin dairy farm and I have always thought cows are beautiful. You need only look into those eyes and know they are one of God’s great gifts. I think Sue’s idea is a great one…let’s have another poll or contest so we can choose a couple of pictures for the calendar. It’ll make it “our” calendar too.
May 15th, 2008 at 4:51 pmThank you for including us in your calendar!
May 15th, 2008 at 3:49 pmI love the idea of pictures of your loyal fans, in the next calendar BUT, I think we loyal fans should get to pick, at least some of the pictures that will be chosen for the calendar! Whadda ya say,, another pole or contest?
