LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
Posted by: Turkey Hill Team
On Friday, a camera crew from the Food Network show “Unwrapped” stopped by the Dairy to tape a segment about peanut butter – specifically about our Light Recipe Denali Moosetracks ice cream. They were here for about eight hours (once you’re here, you don’t’ want to leave!) with Ernie guiding the way and showing them the ins and outs of the ice cream making process.
The day started with some footage of our ice cream production line churning out a fresh batch of Moosetracks, including sampling some ‘Tracks right off the line. The Food Network crew also interviewed Ernie and Denali President Neal Glaeser. Below is a shot of Ernie (on the left) showing the camera crew how the flavor tank works (that’s where the base ice cream mix is combined).
As for when the Unwrapped episode will air, we’re still not sure, but we’ll let you know as soon as we find out!

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.

Still have a difficult time finding your best ice cream, Coffee.
I’ll try your junior mint when I see it, I’m sure my son will love it.
July 4th, 2008 at 3:16 pmMy favorite from when I was a child remains Butter Pecan. Really interesting to find out what makes it taste so buttery. Adding real pecans is the magical touch — and you add so MANY! My wife’s favorite remains chocolate chip mint (my fave after Butter Pecan) Do you think you might ever come out with a coconut or “Pina Colada” ice cream? If anyone can do a great job with this, you can. Keep up the great work. Mort Ginsberg

May 21st, 2008 at 8:16 amThis is Caroline’s husband. Maybe the food channel can have a camera on our freezer. Last nite she asks me where was her started box of TH. I remembered she could not sleep the nite before and there was a spoon in the sink in the morning. I then found her started TH box empty in the garbage. She eat it all and did not remember. I have heard of sleepwalking and now I know there is also sleepeating of TH. I would love to have a picture of her doing it and then put it on Youtube and finally plan my funeral
