JUNE POLL: HOW OFTEN DO YOU EAT ICE CREAM?

Posted by Turkey Hill Team on June 2nd, 2008

Share

In May we asked you how many of containers of ice cream you have in your freezer RIGHT NOW. 46 percent of you admitted to stocking three or more containers and 14 percent said they have FIVE OR MORE containers packed into their freezer. Way to go ice cream lovers! (Though 12 percent of you revealed that you had NO ice cream in your freezer…what’s up with that?)

This month’s poll question is simple: How often do you eat ice cream? Every day? Once or twice a week? Only on birthdays with a piece of cake? Feel free to register your opinion by voting in our poll on the right – you know we always like to hear from our readers!

Speaking of readers, we’re happy to report that last month was the BEST MONTH EVER in terms of visitors to the Ice Cream Journal during a month in which didn’t have a promotion. The chart below represents monthly visitor totals on the Ice Cream Journal over the past year. You can see spikes in traffic in July 2007, December 2007 and March-April 2008, but those are due to promotions like National Ice Cream Month, The 12 Days of Ice Cream, and The Ultimate Flavor Tournament.

We didn’t have any promotions in May (just the usual insightful and mouthwatering musings about ice cream), yet our visitor totals still topped 57,000! Thanks to everyone for helping us set new standards when it comes to building the Ice Cream Journal’s community of ice cream lovers. Feel free to celebrate with a comment and a bowl of your favorite flavor – at the same time, if you wish!

As a diabetic, my snack is one of your no sugar added ice creams. They are the best and creamiest I’ve had. Thank you……….

  2. Christina M. says:

I eat my ice cream every day, sometimes for breakfast but mostly at night. Having a lovely Strawberry milkshake as I type!

  3. Peg Cramer says:

Your blogging pace is now outdoing my comments pace! I check here every night before going off to bed, but sometimes I’m just too tired to write a comment also. Regardless, I love to read what you have posted, and sometimes I come across a surprise gem that I didn’t know. You are doing a great job promoting Turkey Hill products. What’s not to like?

  4. Kelly D says:

In our house some one will have ice cream today, I will most likely have it every day of the week!!!

  5. Pam W says:

We have Turkey Hill Ice Cream everyday. With three Grandson’s you have too.

  6. Sue says:

I’m with Dot. Newly diagnosed as diabetic, I used to have your ice cream almost every nite. Now, I’ve switched to the sugar free flavors, but it wasn’t hard,, they’re delicious! I still buy all the regular flavors for my husband and he eats it EVERY nite.

  7. Susan C says:

I eat ice cream several times a week but my husband eats it every night! never had ice cream for breakfast -will have to tell hubby-love to put fresh fruit on ice cream this time of year-especially strawberries.

  8. Linda Fredricksen says:

I have taught all 12 of my grandchildren to love ice cream- it wasn’t hard. They know that we ALWAYS have it for breakfast at grandma’s house. Must be why they like to stay over.

  9. Lucy T says:

We eat ice cream quite a few times a week…….more if I make brownies….with vanilla ice cream

  10. Karen says:

I literally eat ice cream EVERY DAY. I can count on one hand the number of days I didn’t eat ice cream over the past 10 years (most being the births of my children – when I had no choice). We currently have 6 containers of Turkey Hill in our freezer.

  11. Sarah says:

Hmmm, ice cream for breakfast! I never thought of that before but now I’ll have to try it.

  12. Caroline says:

I have it several times a week but can go a stretch of every days for weeks (especially when I had my stash of “Box of Chocolate). My hubby has his TH a few times a week. About your increase in readership. It is probably larger because your old readers are telling friends about it. We have told many about it.

  13. Frank says:

Too Often! I could eat in daily but my waist shows it.

  14. Ann says:

I would love to be able to eat TH ice cream every day of the week! But, I have to take care of my health, so I force myself to only eat it 2-3 times a week. If I really need an extra serving, I buy TH sugar free ice cream, which is also a wonderful treat!

  15. Pat says:

I finally found Box of Chocolates and told everyone how delicious it is. Can you imagine how good a mix of chocolate and banana would be ?

  16. D Bruner says:

I would like to eat ice cream daily, but in the south, we cannot get it home from the store until it starts melting. So we eat ice cream mainly in the fall and winter. Keep up the good work Turkley Hill and I wish we could get your GREAT ice cream here in the south!

  17. Heidi says:

Here’s the real deal-you CAN eat ice cream every day and stay healthy! You just can’t eat the whole box, which is, I admit,a big challenge! A daily dose of TH is a lot more fun than taking horse pill sized calcium supplements. Anyhow, I love The Ice Cream Journal and reading all of the comments. The TH people are clearly marketing geniuses!

  18. mary frey says:

I RALLY A SMALL DISH OF TURKEY HILL, WORLD’S BEST # 1 ICE CREAM EVERY DAY,

okay so I finally made it to a Phillies game yesterday night and I was so excited to see my TH ice cream that I got a phillies had filled with ice cream and savored every minute of it. My fiance was like, wow, you enjoyed every last bite of that. It must have taken me 20 minutes to eat the tiny bowl because it was so good I didn’t want it to run out!!!!

  23. Lois S says:

I eat a bowl every evening watching the ll p.m news. Of course I kinda load it up with toppings, peanuts, etc. Love the flavor (first time tried) banana split.

I eat Turkey Hill every opportunity I get. It calls to me every night while I’m trying to watch TV. “Hello! I’m here in the freezer and I need to see you.” What can I do? Yes! Run to the freezer and say “Hello” to my favorite Turkey Hill flavor…original vanilla. LOVE IT!

  27. Maryann says:

I eat ice cream a few times a week. My son is home from school and he eats it every day, any flavor!

  28. Dom says:

I eat ice cream at least five times a week. I buy cones so that a container lasts me longer and keeps me from devouring it at one sitting. Actually the cones I buy are small so that I can eat two. Sometimes I will have a different flavor for each cone. Keeps things interesting. Go TH. Trying to eat every flavor you make.

  29. Linda Rowe says:

We have icecream in our freezer all your round. I eat icecream only once in a while, but love it. On the other hand my husband will eat ice cream everyday along with my grandson. My husbands father was a milk truck driver and picked up milk from many dairies in our area. They always had milk, cream and ice cream in their house growing up and even today. His parents are in their late 80s and almost 90 and still eat icecream everyday.

Help to get rid of the pain and made me fell so good I thank you so much from a very hurting mouth

  32. evan schwartz says:

i only eat your fat-free ice cream. the vanilla is pretty good but is there a reason why you only have dutch chocolate available in fat-free–how about offering other varieties of chocolate that are fat-free. thanks, evan

  33. Marie Hughes says:

You asked how many cartons of ice cream do i have in the freezer? well i bought two more this week and my husand yelled at me, he said you have 10 things of ice cream in the freezer, i’m like no, so we counted yep, with the two i just bought there was 10. Ice cream was the only thing i craved when i was pregnant, didn’t matter what time or what flavor as long as it was ice cream.
I love your mint, nobody else even comes close to the flavor. Other’s must love it too because sometimes it’s hard to find in the store.
