Who doesn’t love Party Cake ice cream? Cappuccino the Yorkie sure does! Thanks to Patrizia P. from Ossining, NY for sending us this priceless pic.
NOTE: Because some dogs and other pets are prone to lactose intolerance, care should be taken when feeding your pet ice cream. Like most “people food” treats, moderation is the key. Talk to your veterinarian if you have questions about your pet’s ability to eat ice cream.
Our poll for July is also up-and-running (on the right). We know it’s not the most fun question we’ve ever asked, but your honest feedback will be valuable to us. The question is about a “widget,” which is a piece of software you can download from our website (it’s very simple to install). It would create a tool on your computer desktop that would display information like new recipes, new flavors or other Turkey Hill news.
We haven’t figured out the specific details of what the widget would do, but we’d like to know if you’d be willing to use it and what you’d like the widget to communicate to you. We can design it to deliver just about any type of information. Let us know your thoughts with a comment!
In other news, we’ve got some fun things planned throughout July here on the Ice Cream Journal. Feel free to visit us daily or enter your email address on the upper right to have new blog entries sent directly to your in-box. Thanks, and let the countdown to National Ice Cream Month begin!

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
I just celebrated Ice cream month with a double scoop cone of Chocolate Cherry Cordial…yuuuuuuuuuuuuum!
I think a double scoop cone a day is a great way to celebrate!
Cute dog! Looks like he enjoys TH ice cream as much as I do.
I’d use the widget if it was an easy download that didn’t take up to much space!
I tried the chocolate peanut butter ice cream and found it too sweet, so I mix it up with vanilla ice cream and find it is a better flavor for my tastes.
For me, there is nothing like the taste of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream! Mmmm. It’s very simple and oh so smooth on the palete. throw on some chocolate syrup and some peanuts and it just hits the spot!
The dog is adorable but my eyes were drawn to the ice cream. Who could possibly share such a treat? Not me.
The dog is adorable but my pick is the ice cream. Could the dog and cow be friends, playing in the field with thoughts of ice cream shown above their heads?
Thanks TH for keeping connected to and supportive of the community. I also appreciate that you guys haven’t shrunk your cartons like some others. I think a neat new flavor would be butterscotch.
Love the cute pup. Love the TH even
more!! The only thing better than
buying TH ice cream at my favorite
store is when it is Buy 1 Get 1 Free
week for TH. I really eat up then!
My dogs always get to lick the carton when we’re done, but this is one lucky pooch to get a bowl of his own!
There’s nothing like eating a bowl of ice cream with my granddaughter and watching her savor every bite!
Having ice cream is one of the best parts of a hot summer day! My favorite flavor is “Moose Tracks.”
MEN,Remember what the medical people tell you that the black cherry is good to keep your prostrat healthy. So you all know that Turkey Hill makes only the best Black cherry around.
My daughters are looking forward to traveling to Lancaster Co. next week to view and taste the wholesome country offerings.
Reading about Turkey Hill brings back childhood memories of how much our cat, Noel, loved to lick the ice cream bowl! Also, the Kutztown Folk Festival was a great day around Fourth of July…
My two cockaliers Bella and Carmela always wait patiently for a taste of the Turkey Hill ice cream anyone eats and they are so adorable you just have to share
If you want a swell treat, this is it:
A yummy ice cream and syrup BANANA SPLIT!
I love Turkey Hill ice cream so much that sometimes I lick it from the bowl like the cute little puppy.
Your Rum Raisin first caught my eye this spring. We used to have a hard time finding it only at specialty store. Now we can enjoy it all time and we now have been trying all your flavors. We really love your ice cream. Good Job!
Junior mint ice cream….where can I get me some!!!
*Now* I have a problem: A craving for Party Cake, but none left in the house, and at this late hour!
(I do hope it’s a year-round flavor, and not just a summer fl^H^Hthing — otherwise I won’t be able to properly celebrate my December birthday!)
(And while we’re at it, ditto for *pink* peppermint — why do folks think of it being for the winter holiday-time only?) (And don’t tell me “candy canes”!)
Uh-oh… now it’s a double-trouble problem — you guessed it — a craving for *both* Party Cake *AND* Pink Peppermint!
…Though the image has given me an idea for my next afghan design; now I just have to figure out how to get Turkey Hill to hire me as their official knitwear designer; I bet that poor cow doesn’t have even a single scarf to keep her neck warm in the winter!
What color do *you* think she’d like to wear?
Staving off the dual craving until the morning (what’s better than ice cream for breakfast, anyway?),
— Renee, wishing a very merry
Ice Cream Month to all,
and to all a good night
(Widget-comments next time; right now, the knitwear-designer/ice-cream-craver in me is designing the stitch for the cow’s first scarf… also known as the answer to the question, “How does a knitter eat her ice cream cone?” “Lick one, swirl two; lick one, swirl two…”)
How cute!
The pup has a great stylist!
And the ice cream can’t be beat after a long day at the salon!
I would definitely make use of widget! It would be perfect for advertising and letting me know about new flavors or recipes that include Turkey Hill ice cream, or good ice cream combos with other foods. Even daily facts about ice cream, or letting us know what local grocery stores or chain grocery stores have turkey hill products on sale. Also maybe a designated “flavor of the week” or monthly give aways would be cool too.
Dear Sirs,
Thank you again for sending coupons of all of your Delicious Turkey Hill Products, well appreciated in these economic times.
My dog,Chang,a pug/pom loves to eat your vanilla ice cream, plus it is his reward for being good.
