WOW!!! What a great way to CELEBRATE NATIONAL ICE CREAM MONTH. I’m originally from Lancaster County, down by the river, now live in Lebanon county. My son is now 11, but when he was younger he would get excited when Columbia would have there parades and he would see the giant cow come thru or see the cow when we were driving somewhere. The only ice cream you will find in our freezer is Turkey Hill. It would be nice to win the Tour and YES of course the ICE CREAM!!..LOL My whole family loves the ice cream.

Too bad I don’t live in an area where I can go out and get Turkey Hill Ice Cream (SE Tennessee). At least our local grocery stores have recently begun to carry Turkey Hill Iced Tea, so maybe ice cream won’t be too far behind.

I spotted the Turkey Hill cow at my hometown supermarket this past weekend. I quickly got out my camera from the car and snapped a photo of Bo. He’s now posted on my freezer door and I smile at him everytime I go into the freezer for my container of Turkey Hill ice cream!

I didn’t know that the third Sunday in July was ice cream day! The third Sunday this month starts my birthday week so I will be sure to extend that by eating Turkey Hill every day that week (as if I didn’t already). Still haven’t found the Junior Mint..can’t wait to try it and think about making a banana ice cream (just banana, maybe a little chocolate ribbon through it)!

Over the years I have tried many flavors, but the best of all is Turkey Hill, top of the line. Egg nog, rum and raison, vanilla, black cherry. I eats a container before going to bet every night. This is not good but I love it. The best.

My family became aware of National Ice Cream Month when we were at the Jersey shore probably 15 years ago. Since then, every July it is our tradition to eat ice cream every day of the month, even if only a spoon full. What a great month, except for the heat, humidity and thunder storms.

Rocky Road and Butter Pecan Natural are the best. Our development – a cooperative of 125 households in Lincoln, Mass. has an annual barbeque in September, so we can really use several gallons of great ice cream. Keep us in mind. Have a great summer.

I bought the soft chocolate/coconut duetto to try – put it in the freezer and a couple of days later went to try it out. My mother had eaten all but a tiny spoonful at the bottom! She gave me a guilty look and said “you should have known better than to leave it where I could see it!” (back behind several containers on the second shelf!)

I once had peach cobbler ice cream. It was peach ice cream with chunks of peaches and also chunks of some crumb stuff that resembled the topping on a cobbler. Delicious. I only saw it once a few years ago. You should try that! Or maybe cherry cobbler or apple cobbler!!!

My wife and I have strikingly different preferences in ice cream flavors – she will almost always only eat Philadelphia style vanilla (ocassionally with a dab of chocolate) and I will usually gravitate to the unusual. The cherry orchard ice cream is superb; I just tried banana split and I look forward to junior mint. I pass Turkey Hill trucks everyday on my way to work between Mountville and Millersville. Here in Dayton, Ohio only a few varieties of Turkey Hill ice cream are stocked by our local Krogers. I sure hope we get to try some of the other varieties soon.

Perhaps in honor of President Reagan you could make a variety that includes jelly bean bits!

So the duetto cherry flavor is one of my favs and TH was on sale this week at my local market so I stopped by and was planning on getting 2 flavors but ended up with 3. I picked up a cherry one (of course) as well as a lemon duetto and then the new flavor, chocolate coconut. The coconut flavor was great I wasn’t too excited about the chocolate.
I was hoping to get the new junior mint flavor ice cream but there wasn’t any in the freezer. I will look for it again when I go back.

We love Turkey Hill at our house and of course, what dog or cat wouldn’t love to have some too but please keep this in mind…dogs and cats are lactose intolerant (they should not be given milk or dairy products). Poor babies, but more for you!

I adore “loaded” ice cream:nuts, cookies, cake bits, you get the idea. The love of my life, with whom I just celebrated our 28th anniversary, would be happy if I never bought anything but vanilla. He’s a purist. But he has to stick with frozen yogurt these days due to years and years of ice cream abuse. So every week I have to buy two different TH boxes. Should I buy stock in this company?

There is no other ice cream that has the quality that Turkey Hill does. I have been enjoying your fine products since I was an adult and that is quite a while! lol. Among my favorites are chocolate marshmallow, rootbeer duetto, columbian coffee (with butterscotch sauce added to it, yummm) and so many others of your fine products. The list goes on and on. Just when I think you have invented a new ice cream that can’t be beat, you go and create something even more exciting. It has long been my dream to visit your facility and take a tour. I have wrote to you a few times especially about your Limited Edition Ice Creams such as Gertrude Hawk’s Box of Chocolates and German Chocolate. Both were incredible, but I always have to have my absolute favorite, Rocky Road. My suggestion for a flavor, which I cannot find anywhere by any manufacturer was Chocolate Chocolate Chip. Best National celebration Month to come along!! Turkey hill has something for everyone fat free, no sugar added, low fat, yogert, regular, duetto and in a huge assortment of flavors in each line. Will TH every come out with a lactose reduced or lactose free line? I do have a few friends who cannot enjoy TH with the rest of us to to lacotse. Any plans in the future?

I love the enthusiasm of the people who comment on this website! I thought I was alone in my obsession with ice cream, particularly Turkey Hill’s brand. And don’t get me started on Duetto. I find it impossible to use portion control when I start eating that stuff. YUM!! I would LOVE to go on a tour of the TH facility, so please pick me!!

I look forward to the first of the month every other month. I just love the fact that you brought back the buy 2 for $5.50 special every other month. I have the months memorized, so I stock up when the every other month comes around. Thanks for bringing back that special.

Wow! I just tried the new Chocolate & Coconut Duetto – what a blend of fantastic flavors!!! I couldn’t stop eating it right out of the container, just around the edges where it was soft and flavorful. Mmmmmm, so good!

I have not found Turkey Hill Junior Mint
ice cream yet,,but I am looking. I love the candy and to know that I can have my ice cream with it….so good to my heart. July should be name Turkey Hill Ice Cream Month. I will try the
Rasberry Duetto.The next time I am in the store.

We are ready to win the year’s supply. We plug in our 15 year old 5CF freezer Saturday and it didn’t work. Since the kids left the nest we only use it in the summer for TH icecream, BBQ food and ice. We now have a new replacement for the year’s supply plus if we find a sale like Kelly D to stock up for ourselves and friends

Let me tell you about my last visit to TH, Late Monday night I was in NEED of some TH Extreme Cookies and cream, so off I went 6 blocks away to buy some.
To my surprise, the next day I drove past TH and saw that TH Ice cream is on sale 2/$5.00, how sad, I could’ve had another flavor for a few pennies more!! I will be stocking up today, last time they were on sale I had 8 flavors in the freezer, everybody in the house was happy, even the four cats that love Vanilla Bean!!

My husband always thought all ice creams were the same. Our freezer always has at least 3 different flavors of Turkey Hill in it. One time I bought a different brand and guess who noticed the difference? Yep, my husband! Now, its strictly TH! I finally found TH iced tea too,, love the diet green tea with mango! Every day is Natl. Ice Cream Day at our house!

A few years ago, we started celebrating National Ice Cream Month at work with a designated day for an ice cream sundae party. Everyone signs up to bring something and Turkey Hill’s Banana Split always makes an appearance!

Today’s kids have missed out on the true milkshake experience. Fast food chains offer a poor substitute called a “shake.” Not even close…so get out the blender at home and make a real milkshake. Ice cream and milk. Look at all the Turkey Hill choices!

I love the fact that I just sat down to sample the Cherry/Vanilla Duetto, only to find that it’s Creative Flavor Day! The Duetto is absolutely outstanding, by the way! The consistency and flavor are perfect! LOVE IT!

What a fantastic prize! Our dog Kory passed away last month, but he had to have his Turkey Hill. At about 8 pm he would start to bark at us until he was given a dish of Turkey Hill. At 150 pounds, the bark was too loud to ignore. We still eat lots of Turkey Hill, but sure miss the dog, too.

Turkey Hill ice cream is my favorite. Even the light ones taste great. I tried the new Duetto – chocolate and coconut ice. Wow! It tastes like a certain candy bar I love that is coconut covered in chocolate. I can’t wait to try more of the new flavors. It is amazing how a little dish of ice cream can soothe out the stress of the day!!
