Today we wanted to shine a spotlight on one of our favorite ice cream blogs, Scoopalicious. If you’ve been paying attention to the links in the sidebar on the right, you might have already discovered this tasty little gem. Like its description says, it’s “the ultimate scoop on making, enjoying and obsessing over ice cream.”
Scoopalicious is written by two ice cream fanatics named Bethany and Tina, and when you visit the blog, you never know what you’re going to get. It could be Bethany’s story about her shipment and taste-testing of ice cream cupcakes or Tina’s recipe for home made ice cream sandwiches (how good do those things look?!). You might even find a review of the Ice Cream Journal on there (thanks ladies!).
The bottom line is, ice cream blogs are a rare breed and good ice cream blogs are even rarer. This one is among the best out there, so make sure you stop by for a big bowl full of ice cream insight as often as you can!

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
We LOVE the Duetto Lemon and Vanilla. However, recently we tried the Cherry and Vanilla and felt it was too much cherry and not enough vanilla. The only way we could eat it was to mix a little cherry/vanilla with plain vanilla ice cream in our dish. Just wondering if you have had other comments about the cherry being too strong? We will continue buying, and enjoying, the lemon and vanilla. Thank you for the opportunity to comment, Jerry
Hey, thanks Turkey Hill Team! We love you too (clearly!). Hoping if we are ever in the Lancaster area that we can stop by for a visit!
Thanks for such a lovely write up!
It really is weird how ice cream blogs are non-existent. In fact, it just didn’t seem right and I decided to start my own to add to the handful that are out there. If you want, come on over to onsecondscoop.com. I like to think it’s about trying to slow down just a bit and really appreciate ice cream.
It’s been a ton of fun blogging these last months and I’d love to know what people think. Better yet, I hope I inspire you to spend a few more minutes in the freezer section.
p.s. Sorry for the shameless plug, I couldn’t resist.
p.s.s I love ice cream and I love Turkey Hill! It’s not that far from where I was born!
I never thought about reading ice cream blogs other than this one. Thanks for the heads up. Right now, we’re enjoying the Neapolitan nonfat and the pomagranate blueberry. Both great! But my favorite is still vanilla fudge nonfat yogurt which I couldn’t find in the stores up in the Fort Lee, NJ area where we moved to recently. Central Jersey has better stores and I miss them!
This is such a great ice cream blog. I love reading the stories with a big bowl of ice cream. Thanks for all the delicious news.
Hi Turkey Hill
I love this place. I can talked about ice cream all day and not gain a ounce. I am having a coffee with a tablespoon of Turkey HIll vanilla ice cream in it.
I love the Lemon and Vanilla Duetto. I like the way it taste and it’s good after I have a heavy meal.
I usually don’t get involved with blogs. But I’m glad you mentioned Scoopalicious. It is entertaining and interesting. I am always open to learn more about ice cream especially if it’s about Turkey Hill.
OK, I’ve been waiting for coconut cream pie to hit the stores and it was finally there yesterday – it’s awesome! And a funny story for you – my brother was riding home from a card game (we live in a typical suburban area around a city) – when he saw a cow in the road! He followed it down the street of the development, and we later found out it was really a bull that had escaped from a rodeo being held locally – and it’s still on the loose! Turkey HIll rides again!
Time for me to start reading all the links. Thanks for the info.
I love their blog! Thanks for giving them a shout out.
I love fresh peach season and nothing tastes better than the bowl of raspberry duetto covered with peach slices that I had last night. Maybe today I’ll have this for dessert after lunch cause dinner is to far away.
A few years ago, Turkey Hill came out with a flavor called “Peaches And Cream”
I am still searching for that flavor in the grocery stores, but can’t seem to find it. Let’s hope it comes out soon. That is one of the best flavors of Turkey Hill’s many good flovors.
watch month? does coconut cream pie ice cream show in the stores???
Hi T.H.T.! I don’t pay any attention to the links on the sidebar, so I missed this. Tina’s ice cream sandwich recipe looks perfect for a Labor Day celebration…using Turkey Hill of course! Everyone have a GREAT holiday celebration!
