SECOND WINNER CROWNED IN EAGLES ICE CREAM EATING CONTEST!
Posted by: Turkey Hill Team
The second Turkey Hill Eagles Touchdown Sundae Eating Contest was held before the Eagles game against the Steelers this past Sunday and another ice cream lover/Eagles fan has emerged victorious (and with a slightly frozen face).
Eating from a giant bowl of ice cream using no hands, Gene W. of Pottstown, PA was crowned the winner when he downed 27.2 ounces of ice cream in three minutes. It was an extremely close contest, with the second place winner finishing just one-tenth of an ounce behind Gene. That’s less than one spoonful of ice cream!
For his efforts, Gene won a football and helmet signed by Eagles star Brian Dawkins. He’s also eligible to compete in the final contest on November 9, where the winner will receive a prize package that includes limousine transportation, hotel accommodations and two tickets to see the Eagles take on the Giants on December 7.
The next Turkey Hill Eagles Touchdown Sundae Eating Contest will take place on October 5 before the Eagles/Redskins game. If you think you’ve got what it takes to win, feel free to sign up on the WIP website. Good luck!

September 27th, 2008 at 7:07 amSo far the winners have been men. I am sure there are women out there who love Turkey Hill ice cream. I don’t think you will see them at this contest. They are at home enjoying their Turkey Hill at a more slower and enjoyable pace. That’s more my style than eating at a pace where enjoyment is not there.
September 27th, 2008 at 6:59 amIf only my son still lived in Philly, I’m sure his buddies would volunteer him for a try. They got him to go on “Stump the Schwab”!

September 25th, 2008 at 9:20 pmHey guys, I’m sure you know it, but you were featured on The Office premiere twice: one was a refrigerator magnet (just like the one I have) and another was in the window of a convenience store, a big lemon flavored tea decal.

September 25th, 2008 at 7:59 amcongratulations to Gene and condolences to the person who came in 2nd. What a shame to lose by 1 spoonful! Also wanted to say that yesterday I bought Baked Apple Dumpling (Limited Edition) and I just love it!! Every time I try something new, I have a new favorite and it get harder and harder to buy ice cream because I take so long making my choices!

September 25th, 2008 at 6:59 amDepending on the flavor, my mom could give him a run for his money! I’ve had to go to 3 stores trying to get more of the Coconut Cream Pie – she eats practically the whole thing herself every night! (And she’s 78!)
September 25th, 2008 at 6:59 amI can’t believe he could eat all that ice cream in that short a time. Did he wrap a warm towel around his head afterwards for the brain freeze?
