We’re not sure how many of you are fans of NBC’s TV show The Office, but a bunch of us here around the Turkey Hill office can’t get enough of it. So you can imagine our delight when, in the closing minutes of last night’s season premiere, as Jim was proposing to Pam in front of a gas station (it’s just like him to be unpredictable), there on the window of the store was a giant Turkey Hill Iced Tea ad!
The product placement, which was completely unplanned by the way, makes sense since the show is set in Scranton, PA. Even though it’s filmed in Los Angeles, the producers go to great lengths to create a northeastern Pennsylvania atmosphere in every episode. Granted, the exposure isn’t for our ice cream, but it’s still Turkey Hill and we’re so happy to be a part of a moment that Office fans have been anticipating for almost four years!
As for what Pam said, we won’t spoil it for anyone who recorded the episode and hasn’t watched it yet. If you didn’t record and would like to watch it, you can check it out here (the proposal scene starts around minute 38 and 30 seconds, and don’t miss the Turkey Hill magnet between minute 12 and 13). Just out of curiosity, what are some of your favorite TV shows that you think Turkey Hill products or signs can be a part of?

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
wow, you really need good eyes to see the fridge magnet! thanks for the hulu.com link–i was unaware of that site.
I do happen to like The Office. It’s a very different kind of show. And what a great commercial for Turkey Hill! Congrats.
Congrats on your tv exposure. Just goes to show that everyone loves Turkey Hill.
I think everyone loves Turkey Hill and I believe Jim & Pam went into the store and bought some ice cream to celebrate!
Congratulations to Turkey Hill – you deserve it. Keep up the good work.
Love Turkey Hill! Love The Office! LOVE that Turkey Hill was on The Office!! Woot!
I think any show where the actors are eating there should be Turkey Hill. Once those actors get a taste of your ice cream they will be clamoring for it to be sold in California!
I don’t watch The Office but am happy to see Turkey Hill get recognition on national television. That is quite an honor and well-deserved!
I NEVER WATCHED THE SHOW, THE GUY SHOULD HAD A CARTON OF TURKEY HILL ICE CREAM UNDER HIS KNEE;; COOL ACT
I was born and raised in Scranton until 1969. Depend on that city to show Turkey Hill products. Scrantonians eat and drink a lot of Turkey Hill, me included.
Great exposure! I don’t watch the office but I may have to start, they seem to endorse great products!
I don’t look at The Office, but I think Turkey Hill should be at NICS on Tuesday Night, Good Morning Show and Fox5 news. It would had been cute if he a the ring in a turkey hill ice cream carton. She wuld open the carton a saw the ring. Or they were eating turkey hill ice cream and she find her ring in a bowl of turkey hill ice cream.
Way to go Turkey Hill!!
I don’t watch The Office. If I had known, I would have watched it just to see what Turkey Hill is up to.
Congratulations on getting the Turkey Hill name out there so it was part of the local scene when they filled! Suggest you see that the show cast/producers get a sample of your full line of products and who knows where that may lead! Perhaps they can come to Lancaster County and film a segment of the cast on a vacation trip!
At any rate, us “hometown folks” are still your greatest customers for all the product line! Most especially the frozen products!
Have never seen that show, but their choice of product display is obviously outstanding. Good to see Turkey Hill recognition and some “free” advertising!
really good to see turkey hill on the Office, I watch Cold Case and they film in PHilly. this would be a great place to see turkey hill. they flash back, so you could even show some of the old turkey hill stuff.
You know that Everybody Loves Raymond always had Turkey Hill Ice Cream!
Congratulations!!!
