I have bought Baked Apple Dumpling ice cream but haven’t been able to find it since. Where can I buy it again?
Everytime something comes out new it disappears after trying it.
It would be nice to have it on the shelves when shopping for something special.

…I went to a few stores that were all out of this ice cream, before finally finding ONE half gallon in a grocery store (it was the last one left)!

It’s pretty f-ing great, I must say.

Also, I’m a vegan and chose to break my vegan-ness for the first time in a while just to try this ice cream; it was recommended to me by a few people who always forget I don’t eat dairy. It sounded so different and so good that I just figured I’d cheat on my soy ice cream.

For a once in a lifetime diet splurge though, THIS ICE CREAM WAS PRETTY DARN GOOOOOOOOOD!!!

Now back to my choco- soy!

I am so upset….was able to buy Baked Apple Dumpling Ice Cream at my local supermarket and went back a few days later to get some more and it is all sold out EVERY TIME I GO!!! It is so yummy and I just have to have it again, but supermarket can’t seem to keep it on the shelf : (

just saw it at wal mart… i could seriously eat the whole half gallon… its for a limited time only… i’m buying a boat load. hands down the best ice cream i’ve ever eaten.

I just tried the new “Baked Apple Dumpling”. Wow! It’s so good. The cinnamon ice cream and graham bits were so tasty together. And the real texture of the apple piecess were a pleasant surprise. I’m a confirmed chocoholic, but so glad I ventured to try someting new.

An apple dumpling is a pastry filled with apple, cinnamon and occasionally raisins. Apples are peeled and cored, placed on a portion of dough, then filled with cinnamon and sugar. Then the dough is folded over the apples and the dumplings are baked until tender.
Apple dumplings are more of a native food in the northeastern United States, around Pennsylvania. A very common recipe among the Amish, it is often eaten as a breakfast item, but they are also a very common dessert item after meals. It’s also popular to eat them with ice cream or in milk.

Baking Place the apples in a loaf pan and sprinkle brown sugar, walnuts and raisins in the bottom of the pan. Pour about 1/2 cup cider over and around the dumplings. Cover with tin foil and bake in a preheated 350F oven for approximately 20 minutes. Pour in remaining apple cider and baste the dumplings with maple syrup. Recover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.

Place each apple in the centre of a pastry square. Draw up the edges of the pastry around each apple, brush the edges with water and press together to seal tightly.

I guess I’m one of the lucky ones to have Baked Apple Dumpling in our local grocery store and I can tell you it is just as delicious as it sounds. I have told all my friends and family that they have to try it and guess I went on and on about it because they told me I sounded like a commercial for Turkey Hill!

Feed it to Congress.They’ll be so contented thinking of mom’s & grandma’s apple dumpling, they’ll stop the nonsence and get back to working together again! I can’t wait to try this new flavor, but here’s a good idea to do until you can get the new apple dumpling flavor.Try Turkey Hills vanilla and vanilla bean with your desserts. I’m a choco-holic but these two vanilla’s are the best I have ever tasted. I used the vanilla in my recipe and everyone remarked how good this recipe was this time. The only thing I changed was the brand of ice cream and it was Turkey Hill. I just tried the vannila bean and it is delicious too. This is from a person who if it isn’t chocolate ice cream of some kind just don’t bother. Turkey Hill’s Vanilla’s have made a believer out of me!!!!! So I know the Apple Dumpling will be an out of this world taste.

That sounds delicious! We have a small independent ice creamery here and in the fall they serve Hot Apple Sundaes. It is homemade Apple ice cream with Hot Apple Topping. Baked Apple Dumpling Ice Cream could just make the sundaes my second favorite fall treat.

Sounds yummy!!! Now, how about carmelized sweet potato pie ice cream with pecans? That would be a great fall flavor! Or, I guess you could do it with pumpkin if you wanted to be more pedestrian…

I really love sweet potato though, and no one has done sweet potato ice cream that I know of…

on my last visit to Lancaster Co. we stopped in the Strasburg Country Store & Creamery. Here we shared their baked apple dumpling sundae. I am sure that this ice cream will be as good as their sundae. so happy to hear it is now available.
