In all our haste this month (it’s been a busy month as we develop many new flavors for 2009, but more on that in later weeks and months), we almost forgot to mention this month’s prize! It’s the adorable whale scoop from All Things Ice Cream. You can buy one for yourself, or you can leave a comment this month and we’ll choose THREE commenters at random to receive this gift!

    The bottom of the tail is the scooping part that gets the ice cream. Cute, but I like the Pampered Chef scoop with liquid that is warmed by your hand. That works so well that I can bring up a carton from the deep freeze and scoop it immediately.

    When I saw the description, I was hoping that it was refering to the SIZE of the scoop!!! The 1/2 cup serving size for ice cream is a tease!!!

    If I need one I use my mother-in-law’s scoop she got in the early 50′s when she got her new refrig with a freezer on the top replacing the old one with the small ice cube compartment. For me who uses a scoop, I just eat out of the container (unless we have company). My grandchildren would love the whale scoop.

    That is really a cute design and would be great in anyone’s kitchen. I can just imagine the looks on the grandchildren’s faces if I scooped ice cream with that!

    This certainly looks like it is ergonomically correct. It fits anyone’s hand and is built at the correct angle. It’s perfect to scoop out small portions but who said to stop at one scoop of your favorite Turkey Hill ice cream. As a prize it is a “whale” of a deal.

    Once a month my civic group takes ice cream and cookies to special needs residents to celebrate birthdays. I’m sure they would get as big a kick out of this as the ones dishing out the ice cream.

    My four grandchildren would absolutely love me to scoop their ice cream with this whale scoop. They know I always have Turkey Hill ice cream in the freezer, usually 3 or 4 cartons. Just bought the Phillies Graham and Root Beer Duetto flavors this week.

    We have a tiny 1 bedroom condo in North Carolina, and often walk to the beach to whale watch. We often see dolphins, mostly. Your scoop reminds me of them. Turkey Hill flavors are great, and nice and rich.

    Turkey Hill is the best!! But, I have 6 grands, who recently went to the Adventure Aquarium in NJ, and all they talk about (besides wanting ice cream & snacks) are the sharks & whales. They would be soooo excited to see this!

    We have 8 grandchildren and the first thing they would ask is what happened to Jonah!!! They will also want to know if it is a boy whale since it is blue and if they make a pink one for girl whales!!!! They all love your ice cream and all have their favorites, but any kind we have in the freezer at the current time is their favorite.

    O.K. it is cute, but how functional is it? I had several scoops until I received a Turkey Hill scoop, which I honestly think works the very best. It is the only one I use. I would like to see the Marine Biologist as one of the winners.

    First of all nothing can top Turkey Hill Ice Cream. I am seeing more Turkey Hill trucks in my neighborhood. As for the scoop I love ice cream scoops and glasses. When I go to the stores where they sell ice cream scoops I have to go to and look at them. There is some thing about them, maybe it comes from my childhood. Having an ice cream scoop didn’t happen in my household, we couldn’t afford one. I remember when I got spending money from doing special chores I would go and buy the things we needed. This was about 50 years ago, now everyone owns one. The whale scoop is different and really nice.
