It’s a great day in Philadelphia because last night the Phillies beat the Tampa Bay Rays by a score of 4-3 to win the World Series! Philly has a team in each of the four major sports (football, baseball, hockey and basketball) and this is the city’s first championship in ANY sport since 1983. Twenty-five years is a long time to wait, but it makes that much sweeter.
Our sincerest congratulations go out the Phillies and their many, many fans (including some right here in the Turkey Hill offices). We’re proud to be a Phillies sponsor and even prouder to say that our Phillies Graham Slam is the official ice cream of Major League Baseball’s World Champions!

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
And Graham Slam is soooo good.
Almost as delicious as my playoffs Grand Slam against the Brewers!
[...] Ice Cream Journal created an interesting post today on PHINALLY! THE PHILLIES WIN THE WORLD SERIES!Here’s a short outline … and this is the city’s first championship in ANY sport since 1983….Philly has a team in each of the four major sports (football, baseball, hockey and basketball)… [...]
Congrats Phillies…and Turkey Hill!
I’m sure it what the Graham Slam that super-charged them and spurred them to victory =O)
Who said the score was 3-2! Did the game end after 6 innings? The score was 4-3. I do really like Shane Victorino, but I doubt he is really writing in his comments to this journal. I cheered for the Phillies, but I’m really a Mets fan.
go Phillies go and they have gone all the way. my husband was a baby in 1950, my daughter was a baby in 1980 and now we have a new baby born on 10-28-2008, just in time to celebrate too
Where do you get your INFO???????Get it right!!!!!they won 4 to 3
We finished off the Graham Slam while watching the Phillies win. So now we’re eating Turkey Hill Baked Apple Dumpling ice cream. Oh my! That’s luscious.
I’m going to need to make some apple crisp (with Cherry HIll Orchard Smokehouse apples) with some vanilla ice cream on top. That doesn’t quite count as an ice cream dessert.
Shane Victorino and Turkey Hill both hit Graham Slams in my book!
A truly great achievement! PA and neighboring states can feel very proud.
Celebrate the winners and their victory with Turkey Hill!
Congrats to the Phillies. I’m going to celebrate with a big bowl of Turkey Hill.
Yeah Phillies! I may live in MD but I’ll always be a Philly Supporter.
Congrats to the Phillies from the other side of the state. At least one of our baseball teams can play well!
Does this mean we can expect to see Duetto Cow at today’s victory parade?
Congratulations to the Phillies for a long overdue championship. What better way to celebrate than with a bowl or 2 of Phillies Grand Slam!!
I live in NJ and was rooting for the Phillies. So glad they won. Will celebrate with some butter pecan.
Glad the Phillies won!!!!!!!!!. I have to to look for the TH Grand Slam ice cream.

What a tremendous victory for the Phillies and a great honor for the City of Brotherly Love!!! Congratulations!!
Kay Giampetro, a faithful fan
Congratulations to the Phillies! Seems like a long time coming and I am very happy for the whole organization and all the fans. The Turkey Hill Phillies Graham Slam ice cream is absolutely delicious! I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted it for the first time, because I was a little skeptical from the name and not sure I would like it. Keep up the good work Turkey HIll!!
Will Turkey Hill now come out with a new flavor to honor the Phillies? How about Phillies Pumpkin Pie, or Phillies Peppermint Pattie, or Phillies Peach Pie, or Phillies Peppermint Parfait, etc. Congratulations to a great team – the Phillies and Turkey Hill.
Congratulations to the Phila. Phillies and Turkey Hill is right on the winning side with their delicious Ice Cream. Linda
YEA PHILLIES!!!!!
Thank you for a great season! We will remember this forever! Love you all!
Congratulations to the Phillies. It’s great to see them win.
Congratulations from the former home of the Phillies farm team in Scranton and wilkes-Barre, Pa. You are still dear to our hearts.
CONGRATULATIONS PHILLIES! I was beginning to think I might not see it in my lifetime! Thanks for proving me wrong! We are Phillies and Pennsylvania proud of you all! And celebrating? Well, just dish up the Turkey Hill – any flavor – they’re all winners too!
Hi Turkey Hill Fans,
I have to say is I am going to buy s ome Turkey Hill ice cream tonight. I may buy one vanilla and one Strawberry. I love to put 2 teaspoon of vanilla in my coffee. It’s taste so good. I put 1/4 cup of strawberry in a 8-oz glass of milk. Everyone have a safe and happy fun weekend.
Way to go PHILLLIES!!!!We made it to the parade and what a parade it was. It was unbelieveable. What a turn out it was. I loved every minute of it! And so did every one else. Whoo hoo !!Wait till next year.
Most of Western PA only lives 4 the Steelers, and YES WE loved them in the Superbowl but HOW ‘BOUT THEM PHILLES! Now if we can just get the whole state to go Democrat for the election, and the Pirates could win the series next year…THAT would be two more miracles!

I just had to buy some Phillies Graham Slam to celebrate! I love the Phillies and their Turkey Hill Graham Slam Ice Cream. To me they are both World Series Winners! Way to Go!!
Don’t hate me, I was for Tampa Bay. But I did celebrate Philly’s win with Turkey Hill ice cream. Really not into baseball that much and have a relative in Tampa Bay, promised them I would root for them
Didn’t like either team too much so it didn’t matter to me who won. Like the ice cream though, and maybe next year, we’ll have a yankee doodle dough
Great job with the info. How did you find it? Please let me know.
