Turkey Hill’s customer service team receives countless e-mails each day from customers throughout the nation. Thankfully, many of the e-mails are good, including the one below which we’d like to share with you in the first of many featured customer e-mails here on the Ice Cream Journal. Of course, if you ever e-mail our customer service team and we decide to feature your e-mail here, we’ll always ask your permission first. This email comes from Jillian B. of Providence, RI. Jillian is currently an English major at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
To Whom it May Concern:
It is Christmas Eve, and although there are still an unsettling number presents to be bought, dishes to be cooked, and relatives to be visited; I feel compelled to take the time to compose this letter. Last night, I was reminded of my intense partiality for one of your ice creams. I fondly remember the first time I sampled Turkey Hill’s Party Cake ice cream. It was in the summer of 2005, and I picked i up at a grocery store after having been attracted to it’s spunky and enchanting mosaic of pastel coloring – an image that delights my heart and arouses my sailvary glands to this day.
I had tried other cake-flavored ice creams before and since my first experience with the Party Cake, and I can safely say, no others come close.
The milky vanilla base would be a delicious treat on its own, but it is simply the sweet backdrop for an epicurean deluge. The soft, chewy cake pieces provide for a luscious marriage of texture and color when combined with the ineffably ambrosial, buttercream frosting.
This letter may seem ridiculous, but I wouldn’t feel right experiencing such splendor without offering my gratitude to those responsible for it.
When it is available, I have a hard time justifying wasting my appetite on any food other than Party Cake ice cream. Sadly, I have often have difficulty finding it, as I don’t have a car at my college residence, and am limited to grocery stores within walking distance. I will, however, continue to spread the good word to friends and family about this marvelous creation of yours.
I think I may also send a letter in post about this. I just want to show my appreciation to as many Turkey Hill employees as possible. If you could point me to the specific individual(s) who birthed Party Cake ice cream, I would be honored to thank them personally.
With sincere gratitude,
Jillian

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
Oh, this letter WAS magnificent! Maybe you should frame it and hang it up! Deserves it!
I NEVER heard of Turkey Hill “Party Cake” ice cream. That sure sounds like something I would enjoy VERY much!
Where can we find this? I want some!!!!! That’s for sure. That may be something I’d like the world to taste with me! (Like, remember that song, “I’d like to buy the world a Coke, and keep it company?”) Well, I may like to buy the world Turkey Hill “Party Cake,” ice cream, and keep it company?
So, are you going to respond to this gal’s letter and let us know the answers too! Where can we find this flavor!? Don’t forget to send her some coupons!!!!! I used two of my coupons tonight at the Turkey Hill convenience store near my house, $1.00 off a big gallon of regular iced tea (though I had really wanted to save the $1.00 coupons you gave me for stuff like “butter?” just don’t need any butter right now). And then 35 cents off some lemoade for my sonny boy? Oh, this gal will really cherish your ice cream coupons that you send to her!
I have to write you guys a letter soon, my coupons will be running out…I will be wanting some more?
My freezer though now is FILLED with Turkey Hill ice cream? I had purchased some before the coupons came to me, then, I used my coupons and got some more. Regular ice cream, ice cream samwiches, the other kind of ice cream on the cone, ha ha. (I even have Klondike bars in there from that other company, but I had purchased them from the Weis supermarket near my house
Oh, I thank Jillian for telling us about this particular flavor of Turkey Hill ice cream. Really sounds like something I would enjoy and serving at my “parties” too
And giving away, of course too, as gifts
Pennsylvani has some really great people in it who have great English skills
God bless!

Thank you so much for sharing this letter, it makes me want a giant bowl of the Party Cake ice cream. Thanks for showing your customers you share, and I am a huge Turkey Hill fan!
Thank You turkey hill for letting us see the letter. Turkey Hill Family you are the best.
Wow,, what descriptions! You guys should hire this young lady to do your ads for you! lol Sure made me want to go out & buy Turkey Hill Party Cake ice cream! Nice to read such a complimentary msg, although I can’t imagine why anyone would have a complaint about TH ice cream!
I love Turkey Hill and greatly appreciate coupons for T.H. products.
It’s also great that you really read your emails and are responsive to them. That’s what makes for a special company.
this girl is surely the spokesperson for party cake ice cream !
I feel the same way. Party Cake is the best ice cream I’ve ever had.
we love party cake too
Yay for Party Cake! She’s right — among the variety cake-infused ice creams, Turkey Hill pretty much “takes the cake!” Ha ha!
Jillian sure has a wonderful descriptive vocabulary, you can tell she is an English major. I agree with her completely and am glad that we have TH party cake ice cream in our area. It is a favorite in our family.
One thing caught my eye where you stated about the countless e-mails you receive daily and that mostly they were good. That shocked me because that would mean that some are not and I can’t believe people can find something to complain about! Maybe they don’t have any taste buds, that’s the only reason I can think of!!
The six of us all agree. Turkey Hill Party Cake ice cream is delicious.
To each his own. I think there’s nothing better than original vanilla,I can add whatever toppings I like, when the mood strikes me.
Just saw the Turkey Hill cow on TV at the Mummers Parade. That is a great combination of traditional Philly- the Mummers and Turkey Hill.
To date the favorite in our house is the “BOX OF CHOCOLATE”. Never seen the Party Cake but since TH is tasty in all flavors (except in our houseant type of mint) we would try it.
To all who reads these blogs a VERY HAPPY AND HEALTHY 2009 AND BEYOND.
Happy new year, just looking at the parade in philly and look who is there, the turkey hill cow. so good. now I will go open my box of chocolates turkey hill to celebrate.
she waxes poetic about a truely poetic product! Happy New YEar to all you at TH!!
Never heard of Part cake. Sounds awsome
will look for it from now on.
I often see the ice cream party cake.Never tried it tho. Maybe this will be the year to do so. As for me and Laddie we love any kind of ice cream. No matter how cold its out! The only flavor I don’t like is pistachio! Yuk!!!
Party Cake Ice Cream sounds great. Happy New Year to all.
Happy New Year to all and to all, a healthy scoop (or two) of ice cream!
Happy New Year!!
I hope everyone has a happy ,healthy and plenty of Turkey Hill Ice Cream for 2009
I, too, have not seen or heard of party cake ice cream. Personally, I crave nuts and peanut butter. Also crave Duetto, coconut and chocolate, but haven’t been able to find that lately. I am willing to try all new flavors that come out. Keep up the good flavoring works.
Well I am glad there are those that enjoy the flavors that you make. I haven’t tried your Party Cake Ice Cream, but have tried others and didn’t care for it. So I have reservations on trying yours.
I like the TH Party Cake ice cream and my grandsons love it!!
I haven’t tried the Turkey Hill party cake yet. However, I look forward to it.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TURKEY HILL!
KEEP THE GOOD WORKS COMING.
there’s no place like home

after reading that entry, i want to run out and buy some Party cake ice cream-Happy New Year to all
we have turkey hill ice cream at every party we have in our household
What a beautifully written letter! Keep the good things coming in 2009 Turkey Hill!!! Happy Healthy New Year to all!!!
What a terrific letter! This young lady seems like quite a prize. Turkey HIll should consider hiring her for work like this. In fact, I would if my company wasn’t West Coast based! Kudos!
First kudos to such an erudite young lady!! Second how come this chocoholic has never heard of nor seen “Box of Chocolates” 2 emails mentioned this. How long ago did this come out? Does this have a “crunchy shell” with gooey chewy chocolate in the centre? I’m salivating just imagining what an ice cream called “Box of Chocolate” taste like. Happy New Year all and I look forward to chatting ice cream all year long!
I think I just fell in love. Jillian, tell me you are single.
What could be better than having your cake and ice cream in one carton? Eating it, I guess!
I have never tried Party Cake Ice Cream. But with the e-mail from Jillian and the many comments I have got to buy it. Hopefully, my local grocery store will carry it. If not I will search until I find it. Turkey Hill is worth finding and enjoying.
Once I had Turkey Hill Ice Cream, every other kind has paled in comparison! Keep up the good work TH, we love you!!!
wow thats awesome nevr had that before
Party cake , one of my favorites also. Glad I have no problems getting all the different flavors of TH here in Elizabethtown, 2 Turkey Hill stores near my house. Properly stocked with all flavors.
I’m so glad I found some “Party Cake”
lovers. Although I love most flavors of Turkey Hill, Party Cake is a front-runner for me. I have Diabetes and usually eat the No Sugar Added ice cream, but when it comes to Party Cake, I have to throw caution to the winds. I haven’t been able to find it lately. Does it only come out certain months? I’d like to see it more often. God Bless Turkey Hill.
Having discovered your ice cream a couple of years ago in our city was a very nice thing. However, this year I am so disappointed because none of our area stores carry the Duet in Mango or Lemon. What a disappointment. I’ve been Raspberried and Rootbeered to death and now I am giving up. What say you?
Mrs. MaKris
My grandaughter has an bad habit of throwing things all the time, especially anything that’s edible.Well I made her an icecream cone, and to my shock and horror she ate the whole cone. She then burped and said nana that ice cream was good!I laughed so hard my ribs hurted. So me and Tresure went back to the grocery store and brought three different flavors. That should hold us until next week,Thank you Gloria.
