Turkey Hill’s newest line of ice cream flavors, Dynamic Duos, features two different but complimentary ice cream flavors packed into the same container. To introduce you the Duos, we sat down for a series of unprecedented one-on-one interviews with each new addition. Our interview with CocoNutz! took place in the Turkey Hill break room on a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
TURKEY HILL DAIRY: Thanks for meeting with us. You look good in this light!
COCONUTZ!: Awww, thanks. These fluorescent lights do give me a certain glow. I’m looking forward to seeing how I look in grocery stores.
THD: I’m sure you’ll look fine. Here’s a little trivia for you: You’re not the only Turkey Hill ice cream flavor with a “z” in its name. Do you know which flavor shares that distinction with you?
CN!: Wow. Wait, don’t tell me. I’m still trying to get to know everyone around here. (sighs) Wait…no, that’s not it. I give up.
THD: Snyder’s of Hanover Chocolate Pretzel.
CN!: That’s right! I just met her the other day too! She’s a Light Recipe flavor, right?
THD: Yup, with a pint-sized daughter in the newly renamed Stuff’d line. She told us to say hello, by the way. Sounds like she really likes you.
CN! (blushing): Nah. You think? Really? Nah!
THD: Switching subjects…
CN!: Thank you.
THD: Half of you is vanilla ice cream with choco almonds and the other half is coconut flavored ice cream with toasted coconut swirl. That’s a pretty nutty combination.
CN!: That’s why they call me CocoNutz!
THD: We also heard you earned that name because you’re a little unpredictable. Something about throwing a party in the warehouse late at night?
CN!: It was French Vanilla’s idea. People think that guy is a little tame, but with the right toppings around him, he can be pretty crazy.
THD: Ernie said you were doing lid flips off a stack of pallets.
CN!: Yeah, things got a little out of hand, but we had a long week and we were celebrating Duetto’s birthday. I was just doing what comes naturally.
THD: Was Snyder’s of Hanover Chocolate Pretzel there?
CN!: You’re not going to let one go are you?
THD: It sounds like love to us.
CN!: We’re just friends.
THD: Whatever you say.

I’m NUTZ about ice cream, all right
Oh this flavor sounds fantastic — like coconut custard pie!
This flavor is AWESOME – the coconut swirl is a bit on the sweeter side, but the coconut ice cream & chocolate covered almonds are very, very tasty!
Turkey Hill, as always, comes out with a truly unique flavor that hits a home run!
What a great combination. I love Turkey Hill!
Okay for coconut fans, of which I am not. sorry.
Why does coconut always have to be combined with another flavor, like nuts or pineapple? I’d like a light coconut ice cream. Period.
Bring it on! Haven’t been able to find Duo #1 at the store yet and I live PRETTY near the heart of Turkey Hill country.
It sounds delicious! I’m going to try it when it shows up in our supermarkets.
Hi turkey Hill and Fans, I am going to see if the store where I shop at carry this one. I hope so. I have try it today. Turkey Hill you are Number 1 in my house.
Looking froward to seeing you in the stores!!!
I’ve been watching for this ever since you mentioned it last week! I’ll have to stock up – I know my mother will be fighting me for it!
Will be looking for these new additions in my supermarket freezer. Sounds interesting.
Yummm sounds just like an Almond Joy!
Cannot wait for this one! YUMMMMMM!
Another mouth-watering combination. Hats off to Turkey Hill for coming up with all these new flavors. I’m waiting, impatiently, for these to arrive at my local grocery store. They carry all TH products but so far, no Dynamic Duos but I’m sure it will be worth the wait.
Love the interviews!
I am going to look for this one this weekend in the grocery store for the family to enjoy while we watch the Pittsburgh Steelers win the Super Bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sent this idea to Turkey Hill in 2006 to use coconut and chocolate and I actually had the name – Coco nuts!!! I have never heard anything about my idea – now I see they are using it!
Oh Wow,can’t wait to try the the Duo’s. I will be going to the TH store today to find it. I will have to buy 4 containers, one for each member of my family including me, diet or no diet I will not give up TH ice cream, the greatest. Linda
I’m cookoo for coco puffs, (I mean cookoo for coconutz!
Sounds Yummy..can’t wait to get to the store to look for it. I have my ice cream bowl ready & waiting!
I have become addicted to a “Box of Chocolates”. I never thought I would leave “Eggnog,” but the shelves are bare where I shop for Turkey Hill Ice Cream.I am sure Coconutz will be the next addiction when it arrives. Should Ice Cream ever become illegal because of its calorie content, I will be an offender to the first degree.
I already had both and they are terrific! Good job, now you don’t have to mix, even though I still do, one flavor is not enough..
Can’t wait to try it. Love both flavors and combining them will be just awesome.
Now that is a flavor I would love to try right now as I am looking at the package and getting excited about the wonderful, tasty combination that I see and read about! Phew! It’s off to the store.
mooing ,to spend the afternoon with turkey hill;;;;
COCONUTZ! sounds like something I will love, I just love nuts.
Thats just swell!!
I haven’t tried either of those flavors yet. They do sound good.
This sounds like another winning flavor combination for Turkey Hill; I can’t wait to try it!
One of my kittens, Coco, loves Turkey Hill ice cream.
This CocoNutz Dynamic Duo sounds terrific. I hope my supermarket gets it tin!
Sounds delicious to me!
Can’t wait to see if my grocery store is going to carry this new flavor.
I can’t wait to try the new Duo! Keep the good things coming Turkey Hill!
Tonight I had two ice cream flavors for dessert. One was Turkey Hill Butter Pecan and the other was Raspberry Chocolate Chunk, but not Turkey Hill. The difference was obvious! Even my husband is now saying, when he gets his ice cream, “Is this Turkey Hill?” Wow! A real breakthrough!
This is a flavor I could have all to myself because my husband doesn’t like coconut! What a great idea.
This looks good…but I am totally ecstatic, thrilled, over-joyed, elated, and delighted to see that the Gertrude Hawk Box of Chocolates is back. YIPEE! I also saw on the Limited Edittion page Bananas Foster Duetto. How did that slip by me? That sounds incredibly wonderful. I will definitely be on the look-out for it. Thanks T.H.T.!
I want to try it-definately. Cute interview. Thanks!
With all the possible combination of flavors how do you decide what two flavors belong in a package? It’s like having two flavors to sample. If I like one over the other I will go out and buy a container of that Turkey Hill flavor. You have Duetto and Duo – what’s next?
Can’t wait to try it! Fantastic idea!
Still want your ice cream cake in my supermarket, Giant! Thanks for the BEST ice cream!
Ooo! This is my new favorite ice cream! LOVE IT~!
