VIDEO: BACON AND EGG ICE CREAM

Posted by: Turkey Hill Team

If you’ve ever needed an excuse to eat ice cream for breakfast (and most of us don’t), you might want to check out this video which features the creation of bacon and egg ice cream. The narrator describes the ice cream as “a gastronomic double-take.” We’ll have to take his word for it.

I scream you scream eat the ice cream

Kasey wrote:

No thank you. Video was interesting, but I think I’ll stick to the old fashioned way of eating bacon ‘n eggs. My ice cream should not represent a meat product! But go ahead, I’m sure there are those willing to give it a whip!

Mary wrote:

My husband would probably like it–he tries not to eat anything that is good for him! I’m still looking for Box of Chocolates and everyone knows chocolate is good for you.

Peg Cramer wrote:

That portion of ice cream looks to be only two ounces. Too skimpy.

CJ Hess wrote:

I do not see me buying the egg & bacon icecream now or ever. But I sure enjoy the Gertrude Hawk chocolates icecream. Too bad it isn’t year around avialable.

CJ Hess wrote:

I just located a store with the Gertrude Hawk icecream and had to buy it of course. Delicious… Love it… Too bad it’s not around all year.

Betty wrote:

i don’t think so

Dot Hess wrote:

Thanks for the entertaining video, but No Thanks!

Bob Kessler Jr wrote:

It doesn’t even sound appetizing. Let’s just keep eggs and bacon separate from ice cream. I enjoy my eggs and bacon in the morning for breakfast and my Turkey Hill ice cream as a dessert in the early evening.

Maryann wrote:

Bacon and egg ice cream, interesting, but no! Ice cream should be tasting sweet and special. Bacon and eggs are for breakfast..or dinner. Keep it old fashioned! Thank you.

marie wrote:

I love bacon and eggs but not as an ice cream. I prefer to eat my ice cream without pork products.

Pat wrote:

I think I will stick to regular ice cream flavors for breakfast. :)

Cheryl S wrote:

Bacon and eggs for breakfast is good–ice cream for breakfast is good–both mixed together for breakfast is not so good

Robbin L. Netz wrote:

You don’t know until you try it.

Lois wrote:

Sounds interesting, but not suitable for me. I’ll stick to good old fashion TH ice cream. There’s plenty of delectible flavors to suit me.

Ann wrote:

I must say that I love TH ice cream, but I do not want to even think about bacon and eggs ice cream. I will stick to the more traditional types of ice cream.

Turkey Hill Team wrote:

You don’t have to worry about us releasing a Bacon & Eggs flavor, Heidi. From the responses below, it doesn’t look like it would be well received!

But if we DID create a bacon and eggs flavor, we’d probably call it “Lancaster County Breakfast.”

Heidi wrote:

I would trust TH if they came out with an outrageous flavor like bacon and eggs, but I’m not so sure about anyone else…especially after seeing this video!

Joanne wrote:

I think I’ll skip this one; there are too many good flavors to waste ice cream time on ‘bacon and egg!’

bill wrote:

might taste better then it sounds

Bert wrote:

Nope!!

Christine wrote:

I shared this with my coworkers because our discussions always lead to the fact that chocolate or bacon will make any dish more delightful!

lee carr wrote:

I am not much for bacon and eggs but looking at the way this was made and served, I think I could enjoy it.

Sara B. wrote:

They say it is all about presentation. Well it was pretty but I’m afraid the flavor does not appeal to me. I have been eating the Gertrude Hawks box of chocolate and would much rather have it, even if for breakfast.

paul wrote:

I am NOT sure about the bacon and egg Ice Cream.

I am not saying i wouldn’t try it..

who knows??

Yvonne wrote:

Oh my goodness! Bacon and egg ice cream does not sound all that good to me but it yet there is something intriguing about it. However, I will stick to the flavors that Turkey Hill produces which are unique and different in their own rank. If this flavor was offered in a taste testing, without my knowing what it was, I would probably try it!

Margaret M wrote:

If I ever go to Europe I will try this ice cream but in the mean time, I’ll stick to regular bacon and eggs with TH ice cream for dessert!

mary frey wrote:

you should give out free samples in the stores to try new ideas;;;;

Deb wrote:

I think I would try this once, but the preparation is much too long for me………..so I’ll just skip the bacon and eggs for breakfast and just have ICE CREAM! Headed to the kitchen now =)

Caroline wrote:

Sounds yucky but my hubby says it might not be too bad. He has bacon bits in his sour cream for his bake potato likes egg nog (milk or cream & Eggs) so ice CREAM, egg and bacon should also go together. I think he has nutty logic

Dani wrote:

I will try *anything once*. At first, the name of the flavor makes me wince a bit, but they seem to be serving it in some upscale European restaurant. In MODERATE doses. So someone out there is enjoying it regularly. I’d be hoping for the best, that a taste of it would be surprisingly delectable. But maybe as an occasional thing; I’ll still stick to my cereal most days of the week. ;)

Carol Triano wrote:

Disgusting is the first word that came to mind when I opened the e-mail. That flavor would never appeal to me.

Jennifer Barr wrote:

yuck…that looks nasty

jane conrad wrote:

I’d rather eat ice cream than just about anything else…but bacon and egg ice cream is disgusting!

karen wrote:

I’m afraid this one is not quite my cup of tea – but it certainly doesn’t stop me from scarfing down other flavors like the Coconutz or Caramel Cone!

Linda Leffler wrote:

Nice video, but I will pass on this flavor. However the MovieTime TH is great as well as the other Duo flavor. Got 2 of each yesterday and had some of each last night, great. Thanks Turkey Hill, you really have a way of coming up with interesting flavors. Linda

alicelynne wrote:

That actually looks good!!!

The Dynamic Duos have made their way to Va-I am going to get some today!!

Stefanie Schmidt wrote:

What a unique combination of flavors. This just shows anytime is great for ice cream!

Lorraine Pieloch wrote:

It would be interesting to try. I love bacon.

Patty wrote:

Sorry, I don’t think that’s something that I would even try.

susan wrote:

To much work in the moring or whenever, just lets scoop out of the container and enjoy. I do use ice cream in my coffee when I have no milk. Have an ice cream day! :)

Susan C wrote:

YUCK! even the tea looks disgusting!

brenda wrote:

Good Morning to all,

Fred wrote:

I think I`ll pass on this flavor.I`ll stick to waffles and “normal”ice cream for breakfast!

Edie wrote:

Sorry this flavor does notappeal to me, but I have nothing against eating other flavors for breakfast.

KEN N. wrote:

I will skip the other stuf on that plate,”BUT” I eat Turkey Hill Ice Cream for breakfast, lunch, supper and for a late night snack anyway.I look forward trying that bacon & egg flavor!

peg wrote:

I don’t think I like the ingredients or anything else about this ice cream. I guess I’m old-fashioned.

Oh, thanks—now I’m going to have to eat ice cream for breakfast now.
