THE ULTIMATE FLAVOR TOURNAMENT (ROUND 2): THE SWEET SIXTEEN

The Ultimate Flavor Tournament is designed to determine the best Turkey Hill ice cream flavor as determined by your votes. Each week we’ll narrow down the field until just one flavor is left standing. We’ll also choose 10 comments at random from all the comments left during the six week showdown and each commenter will receive a one month supply of Turkey Hill ice cream and we’ll choose one lucky comment to receive a ONE YEAR supply of ice cream.

Round one of the Ultimate Flavor Tournament is in the books and after more than 40,000 votes, the 32 starting flavors have been narrowed down to the Sweet Sixteen. There were definitely some close battles last week, but there were also some blow outs, as in the case of Vanilla Bean easily defeating its Cookies n’ Cream challenger by a 2-to-1 margin.

To break down the action, we turned to our own Einstein of Ice Cream, Ernie, for his opinion on this week’s match-ups.

MATCH-UP #1 – All Natural Mint Chocolate Chip vs. Root Beer Duetto
“Mint Chocolate Chip is probably the most overlooked performer in this contest. It’s a really popular flavor and I expect it to put up a fight deep into this tournament. Look for a win for Mint in this match-up and another great battle next week.”

MATCH-UP #2 – Light Recipe Extreme Cookies n Cream vs. Dynamic Duos Caramel Cone Chaos
“Caramel Cone Chaos is the youngest flavor remaining in the tournament, but I don’t think Triple C has the experience necessary to take down the “Extreme Dream” in this round.”

MATCH-UP #3 – Vanilla Bean vs. Raspberry Duetto
“Okay, I just feel sorry for Raspberry Duetto this week. I mean, it fought hard in the first round and beat Cherry Duetto. Cherry! That’s not an easy flavor to beat. And then it has to face the reigning Ultimate Flavor Tournament champ in round two? That’s harsh.”

MATCH-UP #4 – Peppermint Stick vs, Limited Edition Junior Mint
“It’s the battle of the mints! I’m actually stumped on this one. It could go either way. I’ll flip a coin. And the winner is…wait, where’d my coin go? Oh well, may the best mint win!”

MATCH-UP #5 – Light Recipe Moose Tracks vs. Limited Edition Gertrude Hawk Box of Chocolates
“The Moose is loose and it’s not going to let a box of chocolates get in its way! (Even one as delicious as Gertrude Hawk’s.) I predict we’ll be following this set of tracks deep into this tournament.”

MATCH-UP #6 – Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup vs. Eagles Touchdown Sundae
“Okay, now we’re separating the contenders from the pretenders. These are two powerhouse flavors with something to prove and nothing to lose. Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup finished second in last year’s tournament. Could we see an early round upset by the Eagles? Maybe.”

MATCH-UP #7 – Dutch Chocolate vs. Light Recipe Banana Split
“Author Michael Levine once wrote, ‘Chemically speaking, chocolate really is the world’s perfect food.’ What Michael meant to say was, Dutch Chocolate will win this match-up easily.”

MATCH-UP #8 – Tastykake Peanut Butter Kandy Kake vs. Orange Cream Swirl Frozen Yogurt
“Both of these flavors are a lot fun, so I know that no matter who wins, we’ll have some excitement in the next round. The only question is, how long can a frozen yogurt flavor compete in a tournament dominated by ice cream heavyweights?”

    This is making me hungry!!

  2. Kim Q says:

    Decisions decisions…

    ;-)

  3. Rebecca King says:

Am I really the only one who prefers not to have the flavor of mint in my ice cream? Love Turkey Hill but not mint.

  4. Angie P. says:

A few tough calls this week. I think Caramel CC will take it over Light Cookies ‘n Cream, Ernie’s opinion notwithstanding.

  5. Turkey Hill Team says:

There are definitely some tough choices this week. Tough choices indeed! And it only get tougher after this. Next week will feature eight flavors, then four, then two. That’s a lot of pressure!

  6. Caroline J. Kennard says:

In 3 and 7, I take “Dutch Chocolate” and “Vanilla Bean” (cuz you can pour hot fudge over the vanilla bean…” I love vanilla bean though better the reg vanilla. :)

  7. Caroline J. Kennard says:

In 3 and 7, I take Dutch Chocolate and Vanilla Bean (cuz with the Vanilla Bean, you can pour hot fudge over it, but, I like the Vanilla Bean better than the plain Vanilla?

Thanks…I did buy the Dynamic Duo ice cream, for my sonny bwoy mostly, but, he don’t seem into it? He even actually wanted to throw it away! OF COURSE, I WOULDN’T LET HIM! :) I’m hopin’ he’ll get hungry for it one of these days? I will pray, maybe? About it? Thanks!

  8. Pat P. says:

As we get older our tastes change, nuts cause problems with the diverticula, but with such a choice of flavors we don’t feel deprived. We have Turkey Hill ice cream. We are too blessed to be stressed.
    Bouna Appetitto.

  9. BEVERLY KIRK says:

THE BEST TURKEY HILL FLAVORS ARE IN THE RUNNING……..ALL MY FAVS,,YUMMMMMMM

  10. Carol I says:

This is alot of fun and I hope Peppermint Stick will win since it is my favorite and I wish it was offered all year long! How about it Turkey Hill?

  11. Kathy P says:

most of my VERY favorite flavors lost in the first round but there are so many flaors to choose from at Turkey Hill that are oh-so-good that I still had no trouble a flavor to “Champion” for this round!

  12. linda says:

I got like four out of eight. I am glad you have variety is all i can say!

  13. Anne M. says:

Our whole household LOVES the moose tracks… but… let’s face it… it all starts with the basics! TH has the best vanilla and chocolate around!

  14. Stefanie Schmidt says:

I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the Turkey Hill flavors, but I am still rooting for Cookies N Cream because it is so good!

  15. Marna says:

My family loves moosetracks, tinroof sundae, and graham slam. I can’t have chocolate so Peppermint Stick is probably my favorite. Vanilla gets a bit boring after awhile. It would be GREAT to have some new non-chocalte in them icecream flavors – how about lemon icecream (Southern Lemon Pie is just a bit too sweet with the marshmallow in it).). I ate it while living in Italy, it wasn’t a sorbet or a sherbet, but a smooth, cramy, and tangy icecream.

  16. Kathy Haines says:

Box of Chocolates – (Gertrude Hawk, Forrest Gump, whoever – as long as it’s Turkey Hill) will be my favorite whatever the vote! Life is a JOY with a chocolate surprise in every spoonful!

  17. Barbara Shaw says:

I just voted and picked all the winners. I can’t live without my chocolate peanut butter cup. Go Turkey Hill.

  18. Frank says:

this might be the only chance for the Eagles to ever win the big game!

  19. Ruth says:

    Go Junior Mint!

  20. susan says:

The gooier the better, go MOOSE TRACKS:)

  21. Rebecca says:

I love the varieties Turkey hill offers.

  22. Susan says:

I thought that if I voted early in the morning, I wouldn’t come away with a major ice cream craving, but it didn’t work. I’d give anything right now for some Tastykake Peanut Butter Kandy Kake!

  23. Rosemary says:

I guess I just like the simple things because my favorite ice cream flavors are TH Vanilla Bean and TH Dutch Chocolate. My husband loves TH Fudge Swirl. We like Neapolitan, too.

  24. joseph says:

still love vanilla bean the best but
we do change to other turkey hill
    brands at times.

  25. Adrian says:

Dutch Chocolate over Party Cake? Gertrude Hawk down 30 to light recipe Moose Tracks? *Shakes head*

  26. ted baker says:

my only problem is witch flaver to eat while watching the games

  27. Jennifer Barr says:

    voted again :)

  28. Cheryl Snyder says:

I hope you continue the Eagles Touchdown ice cream….My husband bought 4 in 1 shopping trip.
My husband and daughter hide it from one another (we have 3 freezers) and fight over who ate what!

  29. alicelynne says:

Still tough decisions…and with all the talk of Gertrude Hawk, I must try it today!!!

  30. Kate says:

I love anything mint. TH Mint Chocolate Chip is the best chocolate chip ice cream I’ve had since I was a kid and we could get Kemp’s chocolate chip with butter brickle pieces. But now there is Junior Mint and I don’t know which is better, Mint Choc Chip or the Junior Mint. I think I’ll just have a scoop of each so I can enjoy Junior while he is around and not neglect Mint Choc Chip in the interim.

  31. Sharon says:

Rootbeer Duetto is one of my favorites. You can have a rootbeer float on a cone!

  32. Robbin L. Netz says:

#5…simply not fair. To have to pick one of 2 of the greatest flavors ever made. All the Gertrude Hawk lovers are too busy eating Gertrude Hawk to vote, otherwise I’m sure it would be way ahead.

  33. Diane Waldo says:

How can you make us choose between Peppermint Stick and Junior Mint?! Couldn’t they have gone up against other, lesser contenders instead of each other? Unfair! On the other hand, Dutch Chocolate against Banana Split is no contest at all, at least for me; maybe that’s just because I dislike bananas, though?

  34. Sara B. says:

It is sooo difficult to choose between several of these entries. I haven’t tried all the flavors but after seeing how everyone else has voted , I guess it is time to get busy eating the flavors I haven’t had.

    Sara

  35. Bill says:

TastyKake PB is a winner for sure!

  36. Carol says:

They all look fantastic, each one is a winner!

  37. Marci says:

I am getting hungry reading all these flavors!!! Where’s my spoon :-)

  38. Don says:

Light Cookies N Cream is fantastic, definitely a solid pick!

  39. Craig Kurtz says:

The Root Beer Dueto is awesome and so refreshing anytime of the year. It can be a blizzard outside and freezing but it is always cool and comfortable with a large dish of Root Beer Dueto

  40. Noella says:

MMMmmmm…Gertrude Hawk Box of Chocolates…that sounds delish!

  41. Karen says:

I really love the Gertrude Hawks box of Chocolates, wish it was around all year not just one month out of it. Next I turn to Moose tracks or Choc/Chip Mint…depending on my mood :)

  42. Carol Triano says:

It was difficult, but I made my choices. There are no losers, all the flavors are winners in my family !!!

  43. Karen says:

I really love the Gertrude Hawks Box of Chocolates. I wish it was around the whole year instead of just one month. Next I turn to Moose tracks or Choc/Chip Mint…depending on my mood :)

  44. J Mike says:

It’s unfair to compare a light to a premium to a duetto – it’s like comparing a sedan to a SUV to a truck; each meets the needs of a different group of consumers.

  45. Jennifer says:

I think vanilla is going down this year…there are just too many scrumptious flavors that can pull the upset!

  46. Anne says:

Regular Banana Split Turkey Hill is ummmmmm ummmmmmm GOOD!
If I’m going to eat ice cream, I want FULL FLAVOR.
Gertrude Hawk Box O Chocolates is still my fave.

  47. Mary Hebert says:

I have enjoyed all the flavors I have chosen. My favorite is the Moose Tracks. Still waiting for a great orange-pineapple ice cream.

  48. Judith Purcell says:

I wholeheartedly agree with Rebecca about the mint. Not in ice cream, please.

  49. Judith Purcell says:

The Butter Pecan is gone already??!! Hmm, maybe I can lose a little weight after all.

  50. Bob Kessler Jr says:

Chocolate and mint seem to dominate the 16 remaining flavors with peanut butter coming in third. Vanilla bean has tough competition to make it to the next round. I’ll place my vote and hope my eight choices show up in the final eight.

  51. Christine says:

This bracket is way easier to pick than the basketball one! Plus no matter the winner – it will be delicious!

  52. heather says:

My 3 year old runs right to the frozen foods when we shop, she knows Turkey Hill brand over the others but it often takes us 20 minutes to decide on a flavor or two…..good thing she can’t vote it would take her all day!!!

  53. Tom says:

Chocolate peanutbutter cup vs. Eagles sundae, that was a tough one, but Chocolate peanutbutter has been one of my favorites since I was a kid. & Vanilla Bean(the returning champ)vs. Rasberry duetto… Doesn’t anyone vote for the underdog anymore…

  54. Sue says:

Moose Tracks & Peanut Butter Cup are the best! But you still can’t beat good ol’ Vanilla Bean!!! How about with chocolate syrup & peanuts – a classic treat!

  55. Elizabeth Pyle says:

Mmmm I’m drooling so much hearing all the flavors.

  56. louied says:

    Enjoy them all.

  57. Tina Ingham says:

A tough choice between Tasty Kake peanut butter and Orange Cream Swirl. But, I had to go with the peanut butter. Maybe if it was summer out I would have been swayed toward the creamsicle.

  58. Rol says:

I just love all flavors but nothing beats chocolate peanut butter cup & Caramel cone chaos…….yum-yum they`re grrrreat……

  59. Caroline says:

Boy, I see by the number of blogs everyone east of the Mississippi wants to win that moth of TH. At our house we could not vote on 1 & 4 since we do not like mint or root beer. #5 was not a fair choice since both are great flavors

  60. Kate says:

Junior Mint is great…I wish it wasn’t a limited edition flavor.

  61. Charles Hoover says:

I have a feeling Vanilla Bean will take it again. You just can’t go wrong with it for any occasion or everyday. No matter how many flavors you try to bring home, someone will always prefer Vanilla Bean. It’s just too good!

  62. Kimberly says:

I can’t believe All Natural Coffee is already off the list!! Oh well, there are still so many great flavors on the list(except those peanut butter ones) that something good is sure to win. This is fun, Turkey Hill!

  63. Maryann says:

We need to have Junior Mint all year as well as Box of Chocolates! Last Fall I tried so hard to buy Junior Mint and could never find it. My daughter bought it in New Jersey and it was GREAT!! So go Junior Mint!!!

  64. Kay Biddle says:

This was a really tough week of decision as 2 of my very favorite flavors appeared together…..oh dear. Chocolate peanut butter cup yum, yum against Eagles touchdown sundae!!!!!

  65. Charlie says:

Peanut butter Kandy Kake was “THE” cupcake as a kid.Everybody loved them. Many a lunch box in school had the Peanut Butter Kandy Kake in it.
    Great flavor ice cream!

  66. Sarah says:

All these wonderful flavors – it’s so hard to choose! Well, I’ve voted and I still think vanilla has the staying power to go all the way simply because of it’s versatility.

  67. Tricia Ostermann says:

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup has been my absolute favorite ice cream for almost a decade now! Nothing beats Turkey Hill’s perfect combination of chocolate ice cream and frozen ribbon of beautiful peanut butter. Chocolate and peanut butter is one of my favorite combinations, and Turkey Hill dominates all other brands with this one. Hope it wins!!

  68. Jennifer says:

I am stunned that box of chocolates is not winning..It’s the best flavor ever and it really should be a regular!

  69. Nancy J says:

Love, Love, Love turkey hill. Try a scoop (or more) on top of your favorite dry cereal, and swoon, swoon, swoon.

  70. Nancy J says:

Sunshine, Florida, Turkey Hill. It doesn’t get any better than this!

  71. Norma says:

Sweet little indulgence, my Turkey Hill.

  72. h. tina says:

our favorite flavor is the mint chocolate chip and vanilla. turkey hill has more flavor and chips, than any other ice cream company. thats why we choose turkey hill

  73. Margaret M says:

The choices are getting harder but I’m glad to see most of my favorites are still there, Moose Tracks, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, Root Beer Duetto. I agree with a few of the others that mint just does not do it for me.
Will be anxious to see the next round and what flavors are winning.

  74. christie says:

I think vanilla is the best too because it goes with everything. These choices are so much less confusing than trying to pick the NCAA brackets. Good luck

  75. Dani says:

Hey, I did a little better this week at picking flavors currently in the lead! Although I just couldn’t bring myself to vote between the mints… unfortunately I’m not a fan of either one.

Poor, poor raspberry duetto… seems like a sandbagged match-up. But yay for dutch chocolate having such a strong lead! :)

  76. Alexa Bafunno says:

My favorite is still moose tracks, but tastykae pb is a close second

  77. Jim Bujnowski says:

The rich classic flavor of Dutch Chocolate is hard to beat. It promises to satisfy that chocolate craving.

  78. BETTY says:

    want all of them

  79. Karen says:

I love this tournament but it makes me hungry.

  80. Tammy Sullivan says:

My whole house loves ice cream. Unfortunately for my older 3 girls their 1-year-old around sister wants EVERYTHING they have; I’m not quite ready for her to move beyond vanilla. Before Sarah decided she too should enjoy our favorite dessert, we had a tough time choosing between Eagles Touchdown Sundae and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Personally, I love the creamy vanilla ice cream base of Cookie Dough, but my girls love “mining” for those chocolate footballs.

  81. Karen says:

I predict Vanilla Bean and Dutch Chocolate making quite far this year.

  82. Amy says:

my favorite is still in the game – some hard decisions to make!

  83. gianna says:

i suggest there should be a T.H. ice cream hall of fame, and once a flavor has won (x) years in a row (pick a number), then that particular flavor should be retired from the CONTEST and enter in the T.H.I.C.H.F. (turkey hill ice cream hall of fame). Even if it’s just to give fairness to ALL the other wonderful T.H. flavors!

  84. Lorraine Pieloch says:

You have so many great flavors to choose from. Still having trouble finding some of them at my local supermarket.

  85. GES says:

    How about some honorable mentions:
    Choco Malt
    Cherry Duetto
    Chocolate Decadence (bring it back!)

  86. mary lou says:

Its nice to try new flavors but I always come back to some favorites like vanilla ben and chocolate marshmallow.Still have troublewith the grocery having alot of the newer flavors and also the pints.Just keep on making it.

  87. Terry Warren says:

Unfortunately, still “swayed” by anything with p-nutbutter and chocolate! Also, do have problem finding some of the flavors in our local stores. Should have a “taste-off” for all qualifying flavors at a specified location. I would be willing to travel anywhere for ice cream!!!

  88. bruce says:

I’ve been comparing the flavors and have put on ten pounds, I hope that Turkey hill will send me a 501 form for next years taxes for the IRS.

  89. Mary Gropp says:

Anything with mint is a perfect way to cool off!

  90. Donna says:

It sure is hard to choose.

  91. Sharon says:

Keep voting for Peanut butter cup! If you haven’t tried it yet, go get some.

  92. Fran says:

My very favorite is Light Moose Tracks!

I am a chocolate lover but am not crazy over Dutch Chocolate. I prefer a darker fudgy chocolate.

  93. Suzanne Gerard says:

Your original recipe chocolate (ingredients: milk, cream, sugar, cocoa) is the best chocolate ice cream I have had since WWII when I was a little girl.

  94. Kim Earle says:

Yay!!! Junior mints advances to round 2! As I am deeply saddened that my coconut cream pie did not advance, I will have to vote harder next year for it!!

  95. Debbie D. says:

I love Chocolate Cherry Cordial but cannot get it all the time. Please make it available all the time. Why did it not make the contest?

  96. Gloria says:

I am hooked on Limited Edition Gertrude Hawk Box of Chocolates… wish it were available all year round… I keep telling people about it and it would be upsetting if it weren’t there for them, wouldn’t you think?

  97. Darcy F. says:

Ok, what just happened??… cut in half just like that and my favs are gone…gone!! Thankfully I can still go to the store for Skinny Minty and Coconut Creme Pie. It will be vanilla bean just like last year, that’s my prediction…I’m so bummed…time to run to the market to wallow in a carton of Turkey Hill…..how about a wild card??

  98. Bill Frey says:

I must confess that there are a few selections that I really have never tried. We tend to stick to several favorites and don’t often get adventurous

  99. Michele says:

Hard choies because I have yet to find a Turkey Hill product that I do not like. I am addicted to your ice cream, frozen yogurt and Duettos, -I have been on a Raspberry-Lemonade fix this week. I even had to raid my grandmothers freezer to try the Coconut variety – Pina Coladas anyone?

  100. Ellen says:

I like Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup best. You can’t go wrong with that combination. MMMMMMMMMMMMM Good.

  101. sonja says:

I have been addicted to your chocolate chip cookie dough for a very long time, have tried other brands but always comes back to yours, I also love your choco malted chip light or regular but cannot seem to find it around much I would love to have them in the favs but really any of your ice cream is the tops

  102. Betty says:

I have not tried all of these flavors, but the comments make me want to try a few different ones! I scream for ice scream!!

  103. Betty says:

From the comments there are some that I need to try! I scream for ice scream!!! NOW

  104. Betty B says:

From the comments, there are a few I must try! I scream for ice cream!! Now!

  105. Clarence Hoop says:

    Keep the vanilla coming.

  106. Debbie L says:

This is the “Ultimate Bracket”!!! I love all the flavors, but, my all-time favorite is Turkey Hill vanilla bean. Tried and true!

  107. alice says:

Ok..my favs are still in the running…keep an eye on that gertrude hawk..it is awesome. Keep voting for it.

  108. Joan says:

I agree with J Mike. It really is not a fair match when you put a Duetto or a light recipe against a regular flavor. Chances are if you eat regular, you don’t buy those flavors so a vote for the regular isn’t a “fair” vote. It’s like one team is playing basketball and the other team is playing soccer. My favorite flavors are gone but I suppose vanilla will win again.

  109. Cindy H says:

My family enjoys Turkey Hill ice cream over others. And that Root Beer Duetto – who can turn down a rootbeer float in a dish. Keep the flavors coming!

  110. Pat says:

How about a sampler package- with a scoop or two of EACH flavor? YUM!

  111. Karen says:

Can’t wait for the choices to be less since they’re all sooooooo good. It’s
so hard to choose just one.

  112. kathy w says:

i love ALL of turkey hill ice cream & it is hard to choose one, i LOVE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTER CUP CHOCOLATE MARSHMALLOW & OF COURSE MOOSE TRACKS, I CAN’T CHOOSE WHICH I LIKE MORE, so i get a half gallon each week & eat most of it myself. i love all of them. yummmm

  113. debbie F. says:

Yes it seems we have already determined that Vanilla Bean and Dutch chocolate are awesome flavors. Therefore they need to be eliminated from next years competition… I agree with gianna…retire them to the Hall of Fame

Vote for the underdogs and see if we can come up with a new champ this year

  114. Ronna Farley says:

Yum….I’ll be trying all of them!

  115. Nancy N says:

I don’t think the Light Recipe Banana Split will stand a chance against Dutch Chocolate.

  116. Nina M says:

Perusing the comments left by Turkey Hill ice cream fans is almost as much fun as scooping out a dish of the creamy, frozen concoction! I think an ice cream fan convention would be a great event. We could even have our own version of The Coneheads!

  117. IceCreamFiend says:

I’m not crazy about mint in anything except for my toothpaste. But if you put chocolate in there……

  118. Jill Gresens says:

Where is coffee–now that’s the ultimate flavor for Turkey Hill

  119. sharon rohlfing says:

It’s always great to try new flavors, but for some reason it always seems that vanila and chocolate will always prevail!!

  120. Pat says:

Love all the turkey hill flavors but I would say that Moose Tracks is my favorite!!!! :)

  121. Susan C says:

    Dutch chocolate all the way!

  122. Ann says:

There are so many great flavors of TH ice cream that I simply buy the pint size. Then I can sample more flavors and not have to worry that I’m overeating. After all I only eat a pint not a 1/2 gallon. HAHA Well at least it seems like a good idea to me.

  123. Cheryl in NJ says:

Yogurt or not, my FAVORITE TH flavor is CHOCOLATE CHERRY CORDIAL! In my book, THAT’s the winner!!!!!

  124. sue w says:

Trying to match the taste tests w friends at home, but can’t always find all the flavors at the same store.

But we’ll do our best ;)

  125. Patti Sherman says:

This week we have purchased Coffee, Butter Pecan ,& Black Cherry…they are all so delicious!!

  126. Marion says:

My grocery store never carries Turkey Hill Coffee ice cream so this week I made sure I bought it at the Turkey Hill while my husband was wasting his money on gas! Now if only I could find Chocolate Chip Malt in the regular ice cream (not the light). No luck this time. Boo hoo.

  127. Eileen says:

    peppermint stick rules!!

  128. Robert says:

So many great flavors, but, Vanilla Bean is my all time favorite. Go VB!!!!!!!!!!

  129. vicky f says:

mmm… this flavor tournament is introducing a bunch of new flavors I’ve never tried. Gonna go try some of the junior mint ice cream today!

  130. Dot Hess says:

I will watch with interest for the results.

  131. Norma says:

Today is my birthday, so I get to eat lots of my favorite Turkey Hill in all sorts of anything chocolate. It’s definitely a once a year no guilt trip for me.

  132. Laurie Czapranski says:

    Wow! They all sound delicious!!!

  133. Michele Moon says:

Sad to see my favorite Eggnog didn’t make the cut. Glad the Eagles Sundae is still in the running! I love those chocolate peanut butter footballs!

  134. marie says:

I love Gertrude Hawks box of chocolate. We should be able to find it year round. It is yummy!!

  135. Dave B says:

There’s a definite disturbing trend here. iI think every one I’ve voted for has lost and I’ve lost my beloved coffee flavor. Life is just not fair sometimes! (sure hope I do better picking my basketball bracket)

  136. Lois says:

Tastykake Peanut Butter Kandy Kake. Love them all, but of those left, this will be my favorite. Moose Tracks second best. Vanilla too boring, I need something spruced up with peanut butter.

  137. Glenda STeffee says:

This week, ShopRite is having a terrific sale on pints of TH – and I’ve saved up a STACK of coupons! So, I’m going to reorganize my chest freezer to make room and then I’m going SHOPPING!

  138. Ice Cream Junky says:

Vanilla Ice cream can not be in competition with any flavor. Raspberry Duetto still has vanilla with in the flavor great choice with a little variety and still have the basic Vanilla.LUV YOUR ICE CREAM.

  139. Mary says:

I voted for Box of Chocolates for me, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup for my daughter, Peanut Butter Tasty Kake for my son, and Vanilla Bean–for my boring husband. We love TH.

  140. Jim says:

Your delicious flavors put a perfect ending to my days

  141. Laurie says:

vanilla bean you make my heart scream!!

  142. Lydia Debelak says:

Raspberry duette is by far the best flavor you have it is just the right blend of raspberry and vanilla mixed together all your ice creams are good but my vote goes for raspberry duette.

  143. Denise says:

I almost missed this round, I never got an email :(

  144. Robin Ames says:

I can’t understand how Vanilla is a perennial favorite! When I was a kid I wouldn’t go NEAR vanilla ice cream. As an adult I can appreciate its finer points, but it’s still kinda dull, no? Sort of bland, like milk! C’mon people, LIVE a little! Go crazy!! Try something else!! :)

We discovered Turkey Hill while visiting my daughter in York, Pa. We could not find it here in this area, but we have finally found it and it is on my weekly shopping list. I don’t think there is a flavor that we do not like. We have triplet grandchildren that are here most of the time, so it is imperative that we have Turkey Hill in the freezer. Their favorite is anything with peanut butter.

  146. Janet Folan says:

Okay, I have no children and my husband and I actually have arguments about me taking up all the room in our huge freezer down in the utility room ! Just last night, I had trouble jamming in my 12 container of T.H.
Yes, it’s my addiction–but I think it’s a pretty healthy one–other than the fact that I eat it right from the container (which only lasts for about 3 of my pigouts)!! Sorry, I just can’t help myself. I’ve tried other brands, but there is something about your product that makes me so faithful to you! I love that Turkey that lives on the Hill !!! Signed, Compulsive Janet

my wife is allergic to chocolate. I’m not crazy about it, and my son won’t go near it (my daughter loves chocolate, but she also loves the party cake flavor). but when you have 2 chocolate flavors going against each other, what’s the contest? I missed the first round – did southern lemon pie win?

  148. mike says:

I can’t wait till peanut flavors are safe and back on the freezer shelves

  149. Janet Smith says:

My favorites are still going strong. Go Moosetracks and raspberry Duetto!

  150. Jan C says:

something happened to my voting boxes and I can’t vote any more.

  151. Robin says:

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH ICE CREAM – the best sweet in the world!! And, the mints are in – no doubt. Has been my fav since I was little always remember eating that “slicker” as my grandpop called it on the boards in NJ during the summer. ANd, mine was always was filled with Mint Chocolate Chip…YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM!! The best in all the land – go MCC go!!!

  152. brenda says:

Hi Turkey Hill, I love all of your flavor of ice cream.

  153. Meghan Scannell says:

So when I first read about this tournament I was super excited…thought it would give me something to do, look forward to, check up on, and keep track of while all my other friends, family, and colleagues were obsessed with following the basketball. I thought it would be all fun and games, and brighten my day, always putting a smile on my face….BUT I was wrong about the latter. I didn’t anticipate the blow my emotions would take when one of my favorite flavors got kicked out of the running. When one of my daily comforts, that is often the highlight of my day gets the boot. Its hard to admit to myself and come to terms with the fact that my love cannot be shared by everyone. Of course my realistic and practical side knows that everyone does not have the same taste buds, and “to each his own,” but it was a shocker at first. Long live the light recipe skinny minty and chocolate chip cookie dough. Hopefully even though they are out of the tournament, they won’t get the boot from the grocery store shelves. (Just to be sure I’ll admit that my freezer is stocked with 7 half gallons of the 2 flavors right now!) I needed comfort for their loss and panicked that they weren’t loved enough. (My roommates are a little peeved that they cant find any food in the freezer anymore because my ice cream blocks everything and takes up the about 80% of the space!

  154. Stew says:

    Love that root beer duetto!!!!!

  155. Teresa Fleming says:

    I love this contest.
I can’t get enough Light Moose Tracks Ice Cream!
I’m rooting for Light Moose Tracks to win! :)

  156. Loretta says:

Peppermint Stick is the most delicious flavor of all Turkey Hill flavors. We were able to purchase 5 quarts at the end of the Christmas Season and have them hidden in our freezer. If I had my way I would enter Peppermint Stick every time there is a question! Please keep making lots of it all year round.

  157. Michael says:

the peppermint was good but we liked the eggnog much better

  158. Peg Kelly says:

Oh no! Old faithful vanilla is fading in the race.

  159. Harold Becker says:

I hate to admit it buy I just love Ice Cream and if its on sale and I have a coupon I feel like I hit the lottery.

My cat likes Butterpecan best and waits patiently for a small taste.

  160. Brittania Thompson says:

Ok..Junior Mints are like MY FAVORITE CANDY to eat! This ice cream will be the ULTIMATE treat for me. I cannot tell you how EXCITED I am to try this ice cream, in fact, I am going out TOMORROW To hunt IT DOWN! I need it! I want it! I MUST HAVE IT!!!

  161. Carrielee Fidler says:

My husband and I have ice cream every night for dessert and since my son works at your plant we always have Turkey Hill. I love chocolate and he favors butter pecan. We love trying the new flavors. Keep them coming!

  162. Virginia Alworth says:

I really don’t care for peanut butter in ice cream and am disappointed the junior mint which I think is Ymmy is losing out to a peanut ice cream.
This is fun though since Turkey Hill is my favorite ice cream.

  163. Clarice Perrico says:

I wish Party Cake were a regular in the line up of flavors! It is a most wonderful delight to my senses every time I eat some. I’m a true dark Chocolate lover, but Party Cake makes a wonderful contradiction to my usual tastes.
If I could afford to fill my freezer with Party Cake I surely would!

My Mother lives in the state of WA can’t get it there and I have no way to describe how delicious this flavor is, nor the entire Turkey Hill Ice Cream list of flavors.
Keep bringing out the Party Cake Please!

  164. Edith says:

I love Rootbeer Duetto! It is one of the few ice creams I can be sure it is safe for me to eat (I have severe chocolate & peanut allergies, basically I’m alergic to beans, chocolate often includes soy or other bean products)that is really great!

It reminds me of Rootbeer floats!

  165. Ida Carver says:

Vanilla Bean…how keen! All the lusciousness of the creamiest, yummiest, flavor! Go Beaners!

  166. jack carney says:

Turkey Hill and Tasty Kake- a winning combination for our nation!

  167. denise fuller says:

Why is swirl chocolate and coconut? It should be vanilla or carmel. My favorite flavor is lemon and vanilla. Is that low calories of lowfat?

  168. Shan Ling says:

I have always been a fan of the Orange Creme Swirl and now a yogurt Orange Creme Swirl is even better. However, I believe the Tasty Kake Kandy Cake will win this round.

  169. Lori Behr says:

All turkey hill flavors rock ,but I must say ,Chocolate peanut buttecup is delish!! In fact anything with peanut butter and Turkey Hill is good, Oh just anything Turkey Hill it’s my favorite brand!!

  170. Alma Hoffman says:

At 72 years old I have tried and served every brand out there , and I have come to the conclusion, there is only one brand worth buying no matter what the flavor turkey Hill reigns supreme!

  171. al says:

My fav is Skinny Minty (Light Recipe), but why are there so few LOW-FAT/NON-FAT ice creams offered?
