The Ultimate Flavor Tournament is designed to determine the best Turkey Hill ice cream flavor as determined by your votes. Each week we’ll narrow down the field until just one flavor is left standing. We’ll also choose 10 comments at random from all the comments left during the six week showdown and each commenter will receive a one month supply of Turkey Hill ice cream and we’ll choose one lucky comment to receive a ONE YEAR supply of ice cream.
And then there were two. Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup put up a good fight early last week, before fading to finish eight percentage points behind Vanilla Bean. Meanwhile, Light Recipe Moose Tracks continued its amazing run to the final round with a decisive win over Tastykake Peanut Butter Kandy Kake.
Instead of asking Ernie for his opinion of who will win the Vanilla Bean vs. Light Recipe Moose Tracks battle, we decided to let each flavor plead its case for why it should be named Turkey Hill’s “Ultimate Flavor.”
VANILLA BEAN
“First, I’d like to congratulate my opponent for getting this far. It’s been a long road for both of us and we both deserve to be here. Why should I, Vanilla Bean, win the Ultimate Flavor Tournament? Well, I won it last year, which should count for something, and I go great with just about everything. You can dress me up with tons of different toppings. Go ahead, imagine me drizzled with chocolate and caramel syrup, topped with whipped cream and chopped peanuts. I look good, don’t I? And, I didn’t want to have to mention this, but Vanilla is America’s number one selling ice cream flavor…by a mile. Considering all that, I think the choice is pretty clear.”
LIGHT RECIPE MOOSE TRACKS
“Wow. I, uhh, really don’t know what to say. This whole experience has been pretty overwhelming and I’m so honored to be here representing not only the Light Recipe line-up, but every other Turkey Hill flavor who’s not afraid to mix things up with a little something extra. Why should you vote for me? Because a vote for Light Recipe Moose Tracks is a vote for all the fun that goes along with enjoying ice cream. I’m vanilla with fudge swirls and loaded with peanut butter cups…that’s a pretty exciting combination! I’m a Light Recipe ice cream, but I’ve got all of the flavor (and sometimes more) of just about any other ice cream in the Turkey Hill line-up. Oh, and I was featured on an episode of Unwrapped when the Food Network visited Turkey Hill. You gotta admit, that’s pretty cool! ”

My Mom and I loved the Moose Tracks Light Ice Cream and it always brought a big smile to her face when I brought her a bowl of it each evening as her treat. My Mom recently passed away and now, each time I have a bowl without her, I know she is smiling down on me and enjoying the moment as much as I am. I know she has her ice cream in Heaven, and it would have to be TURKEY HILL MOOSE TRACKS!!! Go MOOSETRACKS!!!
In the end the two favorites can duke it out, but they are both winners in my book.
There is no way to allow for some people’s tastes. No matter what the results are, I still prefer Skinny Minty light and urge everyone who has not tried it, to do so. I think you will agree more with my choice than the results of the voting.
Moose tracks is the best by far. I had a heart attack and now light ice cream is all I eat and we especially like MOOSE TRACKS. Yum Yum are the peanut butter cups. It is such an enjoyable taste with each spoonful we either get creamy fudge or else a mini PB cup. Vanilla bean is good but Moose Tracks rule the world. Go Moose Tracks!!!!!!

I just tried the lite Moose Tracks and couldn’t wait till it was finished. I don’t know what that chocolate stuff in there is,but the Chocolate peanut butter drops are fantastic. You can keep the other stuff. I hope it was an accident whatever the other stuff was.

They are both terrific ice creams, But Vanilla Bean gets my vote. There is just something about the smooth rich taste of vanilla bean that makes it a delicious treat. Moose tracks tastes good but at times it can be so overwelming. all those tastes together. If I want chocolate carmel and peanut butter in my ice cream i can just add it to vanilla bean which if my tastes buds are up for it will make it taste all the better.

Vanilla bean is clearly the winner you can do anything to it to change the flavor its good in milk shakes and floats the perfect companion I vote for vanilla bean its number one.

As much as I love the ability to dress up the vanilla bean and its rich delicious and creamy flavor, I am sorry I have an addiction to the Light Moose Tracks. Just gotta have my chocolate, and Moose Tracks is soooo delicious.

Come on folks, vanilla bean is the most versatile of all. Try it with fresh fruit – strawberries, blueberries, peaches or with great toppings – chocolate, caramel, butterscotch, or peanuts and with plenty of whipped cream. Nothing better!
Vanilla is okay for a kids party, you can buy all the toppings and everyone can make their own. but for me it’s MOOSE TRACKS. vanilla is BORING. chocolate and peanut butter cups, LOVE IT

Vanilla should be #1 again- it’s the most versatile ice cream there is- alone or in shakes or thousands of desserts- its flavor can NOT be beat!
I really couldn’t decide. I’m a huge vanilla fan but not vanilla bean just plain vanilla. I’m a big fan of the light ice creams so I went with Moose Tracks.
I have a very strong feeling vanilla bean will win. All the Turkey Hill flavors are great so I guess there really are no losers.

Vanilla Bean!!! While I love trying flavors of any kind, I always come back to Vanilla Bean…and if I’m in the mood for another flavor, I can turn Vanilla Bean into it!!
