PLAY BALL! PHILLIE PHANATIC GETS HIS OWN ICE CREAM FLAVOR!

In case you haven’t noticed, baseball season is in full swing and that means lots of excited baseball fans here at Ice Cream Central. (Let us know how much of a baseball fan you are by answering our poll on the right.)

We’re also excited because we’ve got a new baseball-themed ice cream flavor on the roster. Turkey Hill has been the proud maker of the Philadelphia Phillies’ official ice cream flavor, Phillies Graham Slam, for many seasons, but this year, we’ve added another Phils flavor to the line-up in honor of the team’s off-the-wall mascot, the Phillie Phanatic!

The newest addition to the roster, Phillie Phanatic Double Play, features Bavarian cream-flavored light ice cream with caramel corn and caramel swirl. The pint-sized rookie (and by “pint-sized,” we mean it will only be available in pints) will be winning over fans in Citizens Bank Park and wherever Phillies Graham Slam is sold.

We’re also happy to announce that the Graham Slam Sweepstakes will also return this year. To enter, just look for the sticker on specially marked packages of Phillies Graham Slam ice cream and enter the code online. Every two weeks we’ll select three or four names at random and each winner will receive four tickets to an upcoming Phillies home game. At the end of the season, we’ll also choose one lucky fan to receive tickets to a Phillies luxury suite party for you and 14 of your friends! The good news is, you can enter as often as you’d like in order to increase your chances of winning.

And, as always, Turkey Hill will donate five cents from the sale of each container of Phillies Graham Slam ice cream to the team’s very worthwhile RBI Program, an effort that helps bring baseball to the children of America’s inner cities. You gotta admit, even if you’re not a Phillies fan, that’s a pretty good reason to buy some Phillies Graham Slam the next time you’re in the freezer aisle contemplating your ice cream options.

It may be delicious but I’m not in any hurry to try it. But I do have a question: what can I do about the fact that my local grocery store does not stock many flavor choices? I remember trying to find the special February flavor and it wasn’t there. Nor are some others I am interested in trying. There are other stores at least 45 minutes away, where I could look, but you know what would happen to the ice cream in that case.

I used to be a big fan of the Mets and the Yankees, but am not as sports conscious as I once was. We’ve seen the Phillies play live at the stadium several times and enjoyed that as well.
Love your ice cream and frozen yogurt.

    Keep up the good work!

We know the Turkey Hill Team likes Philadelphia teams especially the Phillies. Please consider creating a flavor for a Pittsburgh sports team(STEELERS, Pirates, Penguins)? My husband is a baseball fan. I like football and NASCAR.

You should produce a flavor for each team in whose market you sell. That would be two for here in Ohio. I imagine you guys would come up with wonderful creations.

Thanks, Turkey Hill, for the new Phanatic Flavor, one to try. I love the Graham Slam; it’s one of my favorites.
Maybe you can do one for Harry Callas like, “Outta here Dark Chocolate Crunch”. Just a suggestion….

Poor Susan C., the Mutts don’t have anything near as good as Turkey Hill, if even they would be deemed worthy to have an ice cream named in their honor.

  18. TeeCee says:

I’m glad TH Moose Tracks won.
Is there a TH ice cream for the Philly Flyers? If so, I’ve never seen it.
How about “Slap Shot Vanilla Crush Crunch”?

  19. peg says:

  22. Lisa says:

    GO PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. TeeCee says:

Is there a flavor for the Philadelphia Flyers yet?
I was horrified when shopping in a South Jersey food chain store (that will remain nameless) to find a Turkey Hill ice cream for the Yankees! :(
How do THEY rate? And there wasn’t a container of Grand Slam to be found! (They had all sold out). If you can do one for the Yankees (why, I’ll never know), there must be one for the Flyers!!! :)

  24. ralph says:

Hey i’m a Mets fan , so i hate the Phillies, but one scoop of the Grahams, and boy, was i hooked. I usually go to my local supermarket in full ninja costume, so my buddies don’t see me buying philly related stuff !
One more thing, limited edition flavors RULE !!! Turkey Hill is my favorite brand of Ice Cream by Far !!!
