EVEN GIANT COWS NEED A REFILL NOW AND THEN

Posted by Turkey Hill Team on July 11th, 2009

A quick thinking Turkey Hill fan snapped this photo of our Giant Cow making a pit stop on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Ernie winced when he saw this photo because of the tight fit between the cow’s head and the roof, but she made it out okay (our drivers are professionals!). If anyone sees our Giant Cow this summer, take a picture and send it to us. We’ll post it here on the Ice Cream Journal!

Speaking of our bodacious bovine, the Turkey Hill Giant Cow is on Twitter. A week or two ago we told you Turkey Hill was on Twitter (feel free to check us out here), but now our cow is tweeting her days away. As you’d expect from a cow, her tweets are somewhat simple, but you can watch her and, if you’re a Twitter use, follow her here.

  34. I scream says:

One of my lifetime goals has always been to see the giant cow herself in person! I have pretty much stalked photos of her, and learned her history from the Turkey HIll page, but have yet to actually see her in person. I feel like we have such a history already or are such old friends because she is basically the mascott of the love of my life, so it pains me a little that I have not seen her. Perhaps I should relocate myself to Pennsylvania when I graduate from school!

  35. Meg Scannell says:

Speaking of refueling cows…live cows that is. Since milk is a staple of a nutritious diet, and young human babies need it, olderly women need it, and really any human who is developing bones drink it, what do cows drink? Do elderly or mid-life cows also drink milk on a daily basis, or does water suffice for them? I have always knows that cows produce milk, but have only seen troughs of water for them to drink from. Do they drink a fluid (milk) that comes from their own body, or other animals milk, or do they only get water? Makes me wonder…

  36. Mary Anne says:

I live in western PA & was wondering if the cow ever travels this far west?!?

  37. lori says:

    Top off the tank.

  38. Greg says:

The cow made it to the Big E in Western Mass once, and they had a story about it going to NH for a party once, so it probably does get to NJ now and again.
