Hi Turkey Hills fan,
I made several rice and bread pudding using Turkey hill ice cream. This one is good, but try using vanilla instead of egnog ice cream. I don’t care for apple in my bread pudding put if you add chopped cranberries and chopped walnut. that is real good. Or just try adding chopping raisin and cholate chip in your bread pudding or rice pudding.

Our entire family loves rice pudding. I rarely make it in the summer because it takes at least 45 minutes cooking on top of the stove and another 45 minutes in the oven for a nice brown crust (we like it that way).
Now I have no excuse…this recipe looks so good, I’d enjoy a bowl full right now if I had it.

Only TH item I can get is the Green Tea, would also like to have TH LEMONADE! All TH products are my favorite, I am originally from PA. and grew up on it! Thanks so much for the recipe. I made it and it is delicious. I love rice pudding and this one is a keeper. Turkey Hill Ice Cream is amazing as is, but to use it in recipes really is great. I wouldn’t waste delicious ice cream for rice pudding. There are recipes that use milk. The one I use has skim milk and it comes out pretty creamy.

Will have to give it a try. TH french vanilla (or any of the TH vanillas) are great added to strawberry shortcake as well. Just split the cake in half & add a layer of the ice cream, top with the other half then put on your strawberries and whipped cream…it is dElicious!!

So for 21 years of my life I have thought that rice pudding is the most disgusting food ever…even though I had never really tried it. It just seemed unappealing to mix a dinner side with a dessert. Rice had always been the mushy, tasteless filler on plate that stuck to the roof of my mouth, so why would I want it for dessert. I decided to give this recipe a try since it has turkey hill ice cream in it, and OMG it is delicious!

Note to self for future and to any Turkey Hill fans who plan on making this recipe…

You might want to use a large saucepan, cover it with a lid, or simmer to a boil (using medium heat) because I turned the stove all the way on high, causing the mixture to boil uncontrolably and splash out into mu skin. I now have 3 burn blisters on my hand and forearm So I abandoned the recipe for now and just settled for a bowl of frozen ice cream…and I put a little of the ice cream on my burn and the pain went away! Whoever said ice cream cannot cure anything is wrong!!
