Who doesn’t love an ice cream party? They were awesome when you were eight and they’re awesome when you’re 48. That’s why we’re trying something new, starting now.
Next week Wednesday night, beginning at 8 pm EST, we’re going to host a live ice cream tasting party right here on the Ice Cream Journal. The flavors will be any of our current Limited Edition flavors you might be able to find in your store (many are still available). That includes Fried Ice Cream (April), Peanut Butter Brownie (May), Southern Lemon Pie (June) or, our newest Limited Edition flavor, Double Dunker (mocha ice cream swirled with chewy cookie dough and crunchy chocolate cookie swirl). If you can’t find any of the Limited Edition flavors, just grab whatever flavor you like!
At that time, we invite everyone to stop by the Ice Cream Journal with your fresh bowl of ice cream (or ice creams) and share your opinion of the flavor and chat with the rest of the party guests with a comment on that day’s ice cream party blog post. The party will last for about half an hour, or as long as you want to hang around.
As far as we know, it’ll be the first ever live ice cream party in the history of the Internet so, in addition to tasting some new ice cream and chatting with fellow ice cream lovers, you’ll also be a part of ice cream history. Again, that’s next Wednesday night (July 29) at 8 pm EST. Who’s ready to party?

Double Dunker sounds awesome!!!! I love the Limited Editions of Turkey Hill Ice Cream!!!!!
While my consumption of ice cream was high, I limit myself to fat free Turkey Hill ice cream — which is consistently GREAT! (Hopefully, you’ll make fat free Turkey Hill ice creak cakes, too!)
Thank you for permitting me to voice my opinion (and desire)!
We have a special shelf in our freezer just for Turkey Hill ice cream. The TOP shelf.
Why can I buy Turkey Hill Ice Cream cheaper at the grocery store than in the Turkey Hill store?
Yum,
We are looking for more things we can enjoy, my daughter was just diagnosed with Lactose intollerance and she misses ice cream!!
I’ll be eating TH on Wednesday night as I do every night. My favorite is Chocolate in the black box and I recently tried Coffee and love it.
I tell my family I can only fall asleep easily if I have ice cream at night and I celebrated my 85th birthday on July 23rd. Thank you TH for many nights of good sleep. Need more ice cream tomorrow and will try some of the seasonal specials.
Nothing like the vanilla bean with some blueberry sauce!
Peanut Butter and Chocolate addicts here!
I love June’s Southern Lemon Pie and wish it could become permanent. I only got 2 gallons before it was gone from my local stores. But, my father recently found 3 at a local store, so he bought one for me, and the other two for my parents (they love it too).
iam on this band wagon for life TURKEYHILL IS SOOOOOOOO GOOD ..TYVM TURKEY HILL FARMS.
I LOVE turkey Hill. LACTAID AND TURKEY HILL BOTH HAVE LACTOSE FREE ICE CREAM just so you all know
Love your Dynamic Duo series – must admit I was a bit skeptical of your “Movie Night” combo, but it was very tasty. Keep those new combos coming!
I can’t wait to try the Southern Lemon Pie!
I have been looking for Southern Lemon Pie since June, but no luck. There are 3 grocery stores in my area, and not one had this intriguing flavor. I was able to keep getting Fried Ice cream (love the cinnamon) and on rare occasion, found a Coconut. I LOVE TURKEY HILL. I think I’m addicted (I’m checking the ice cream aisle each time I go shopping, looking for the limited editions).
we love turkey hill ice cream it the best. we love to make shakes n icecream soda with it it soooogood.
turkeyhill ice cream is the best. it sooooogood. we love it
turkeyhill ice cream is the best we eat it all the time it like the good olddays . you never can have a lot of it it sooogood.
I love some of your limited edition flavors. I was fortunate enough to find the Double Dunker flavor in a Supermarket by me and it is very good. I also love the Egg Nog ice cream you have out at Christmas time every year and the I loved the Gertrude Hawk flavor you had out around Valentine’s Day. Party Cake though is my favorite Turkey Hill flavor and I always look forward to having Party Cake ice cream.
I am always looking to see what the limited editions are that are available when I go to the store…that’s part of what makes them special…they are limited!
I was at the grocery store checking out the limited edition ice cream there I saw a box that read double dunker, so I picked up the ice cream to try and OMG this is yet by far the best I’ve tried in a long time. My husband tried it as well he made the same comment as myself. Since then I think in the last month I have bought 4 more of the double dunker. I have 1 left. Time to get more
Sounds great…but then again it is July and all ice cream sounds great
I think our group of friends just may plan an ice cream party. And your many flavors will be invited!
I’ll try by best to be there, I’ve been looking for double dunker and my favorite Southern lemon pie but so far I haven’t been sucessful but I still have the Yankees ice cream and that is soooooooo good.I scoop three scoops out every night and always go back for more, it’s adictive.
I wanted to try the Peanut Butter Brownie Ice Cream, but it didn’t stay in our store long enough plus only one of our sores had it. Southern Lemon Pie has now arrived, but I’m not really a lemon flavored person. I want The Peanut Butter Brownie Ice Cream back.
Just picked up a couple of the new flavors – my husband liked the peanut butter brownie and I really liked the Bronx Bomber flavor – can’t find another one of those though. Must have been enjoyed by many others. Will keep my eyes open for it in the future though and hope!
I bought the Limited Edition Southern Lemon Pie just the other day. It is sooooo good that I’m not really sure if there will be any left by Wednesday night but I’ll try my best. (Now, if I can just get my husband to keep his spoon out of it, I’ll be in business)
I have been buying “flavored” ice creams for so long that I was in the store yeserday looking at what to buy next….and all of a sudden the vanilla was just staring at me…yes plain old vanilla…nothing fancy but allof a sudden I had a craving for an old fashioned rootbeer float…picked it up paid for it and left a very happy camper….that afternoon rootbeer floats for everyone and we ditched “dinner” in favor of waffles vanilla icecream and fresh fruit!!!! now that’s what I call ymmy!
I’ll try to make it but we don’t get any of the new flavors around here until they are out and the new flavors are in then we get the last popular ones, sometimes but mostly we have the same regular flavors, I think that is why people go to other brands that have new flavorsd, sorry only do TH.
I love the peanut butter brownie but like so many others it doesn’t stay in the supermarket freezers…
What a great idea. So many flavors, so little time!
One of the very, very best Turkey Hill flavors is Southern Lemon Pie!!! And, sadly, we cannot get this flavor in our stores here in N. Indiana. I guess I am out of the Limited Edition party.
I will have to keep my eyes open for this one. Haven’t seen it anywhere yet. But it sure does sound good.
I can’t find any more of the Bronx Bomber Sundae – loved it! Is it a “retired” flavor now? It was awfully yummy for a light ice cream. It definitely didn’t last long at our house!
YOU HAVEN’T LIVED UNTIL YOU’VE SAVORED THE TASTE OF TURKEY HILL COLUMBIAN COFFEEEEEEE!!! AS FAR AS I’M CONCERNED, NO OTHER FLAVORS EXIST!
The double dunker sounds fabulous! I wish I could find it in Morgantown, WV. I will keep looking!
Southern Lemom Pie sounds so good but I haven’t been able to find it yet.
Sorry, that’s Southern Lemon Pie I meant to type!
Sounds like a good idea!
I need Double Dunker now!
I’d love a Triple scoop of mint chocolate chip Turkey Hill ice cream on a sugar cone right now!
Last weekend I was at shop Rite and sawDoubleDunker for the first time. I picked up a container and home I went. Nothing could have prepared me for the ice cream I’ve just discovered. Double Dunker is hands down the greatest tasting ice creami have ever tasted!!! I am hooked!!! Well I’ve been back to that same Shop Rite a couple times since for the sole purpose of grabbing some double “D”. The “limited edition” on each container scares me. Please don’t ever take Double Dunker away from me……… I beg you!!!
Double Dunker sounds awesome! I will look for it at Wegman’s and hope to share it with everyone on Wednesday. Yum!
I expected the Southern Lemon Pie ice cream to be tart, but it wasn’t and tasted just like a lemon cream pie! Delicious!!
The Southern Lemon Pie reminds me of my Nana (who was 102 when she died) because she loved anything lemon, including lemon ice cream, & I LOVE the Double Dunker ice cream. You should make that a regular flavor!!!!!! Anything Mocha & chocolate – M-M-M-M!!!!
The Southern Lemon Pie reminds me of my Nana (who died at age 102). She loved anything lemon, including lemon ice cream. And I LOVE the Double Dunker ice cream! You should make that a regular flavor!!!!! Chocloate and Mocha-Yummmm!!! A taste treat for anyone who loves those flavors! And all those chewy pieces of cookies dough and chocolate chips!!! How did you think it up? Thank you!!!
