THE WORLD’S TALLEST ICE CREAM CONE?

Posted by Turkey Hill Team on August 14th, 2009

All of us have had an ice cream cone. All of us have also probably had a double scoop cone. Some of us have had a triple scoop and a daring few may have even tried a quadruple scoop cone (only to have it topple into your lap after a few licks). In the video below we see what appears to by a 72 SCOOP ice cream cone (give or take 10 scoops) being served up to a man on a boardwalk. Of course, with 72 scoops of ice cream, hilarity is bound to follow.

this is not the way to handle your ice cream, it is very funny but not enjoyable.

  2. Carol Triano says:

I remember when I was in junior high back in the 60′s we would go to the local ice cream store after school and get a skyscraper cone for 10 cents. I wish I knew where to get one of those skyscraper scoops. Mmm, maybe Turkey Hill could find a scoop like that and have it for one of the prizes.

  3. Fran W says:

What a waste of good ice cream …
And you can’t have all that ice cream and only one cone !!!

  4. Jim in SOMD says:

A single scoop is normally good foe me.

  5. Ellen says:

That’s one tall ice cream cone, how had he planned on eating it I wonder? He did a good job juggling that down the boardwalk, on the skateboard and finally up his front stairs. What happened then was inevitable.

  6. Jim in SOMD says:

A single scoop is normally good for me.

  7. Prudence Young says:

Funny but a waste of good ice cream!

  8. Sue says:

Funny video, loved the looks on the bystanders faces, but what a waste of good ice cream!

  9. Craig Kurtz says:

All one needs is a Huge Bowl to catch the ic falling from the cone and then it is enjoyment heaven. However if it was TH I don’t understand why he would not have eaten it before he began his trek down the boardwalk

  10. debbie F. says:

Hey Carol I loved the skyscraper cones too…it would be great to find one of those scoops but i heard there not available… they were made special for the Isaly’s ice cream stores and they don’t seeem to be wanting to share the scoops with anyone…maybe someone at TH can verify this info

    Too cute!!

  12. Jane Moslow says:

Funny video. I tried a quadruple once and my tongue got numb. Better to keep it smaller.

  13. jeannine leonard says:

funny, but a total waste of ice cream.
    and what a mess!!!

  14. Frank says:

If you finish the whole thing, you should get your picture on a box of limited edition ice cream.

  15. caroline says:

Funny but phony. In the summer on the Coney Island Boardwalk ice cream starts to melt almost as soon as you pay for it. There is no way it could have lasted so long without it dripping. The only real ice cream was thrown onto the steps. Also in the summer in the 70′s biking was not allowed on the boardwalk some I am sure he violated the law with a skateboard. What would be really funny is to film young children with sugar cones that have a hole in the bottom to see how they handle the dripping

  16. Ken says:

    I love your ice cream!

  17. Jim says:

I hope the last one was his favorite flavor.

  18. diane says:

    Hahaha…

I totally would’ve grabbed a spoon and eaten the tops of the dropped scoops…:)

  20. Lois says:

Funny but what else could have happened? Good News, the red and while stripe Duetta cow is at Darrenkamps in Etown. Going to make my own sundae tonight.

  21. Linda Leffler says:

If that was really all ice cream it would of toppled off with the heat, and what a waste of ice cream, I only hope it wasn’t the delicious Turkey Hill ice cream. Linda

  22. Stefanie Schmidt says:

I hope all the scoops were Turkey Hill, it looks so good!

  23. Sarah says:

Well, it’s obvious this was staged and the video was edited. If that had been real ice cream when he was on the boardwalk the seagulls would have attacked him as we saw in previous videos posted on this site.

  24. Pat says:

To Sarah & Caroline, just lighten up & enjoy!Don’t try & analyze. Sometimes, you just got to stop & enjoy the humor with a bowl of ice cream!

  35. Cathy says:

Years ago our Isaly’s had what they called a sky hi cone. Wish they were available today to enjoy our Turkey Hill. That way you didn’t have as much risk of losing that delicious ice cream.

This reminds me of Candid Camera — hey! a great idea for a Turkey Hill ad! lol
    Very cute

  43. Bob Kessler Jr says:

I wonder how many flavors were in his cone. It had to be staged for no one could have walked very far balancing all those scoops. The Ice Cream Journal certainly finds the most unusual films and stories on ice cream. It keeps us entertained.

  44. Suzanne says:

I have a hard time balancing two scoops.

  45. Maryann Striff says:

Ho my, I would love to try that. Its like being in ice cream heaven! I never seem to get enough ice cream, thats one way to get it all!!!!
