STRANGE DAYS AND TWO MILLION VISITORS
Posted by: Turkey Hill Team
There’s a holiday coming up tomorrow, but I can’t remember what it is. Oh well. Last night was kind of strange in the neighborhood. Kids kept knocking on my door and asking for treats (or tricks, but I didn’t know any). And oddly enough, they were all dressed in costumes. At one point, two witches, a zombie and a Power Ranger paid a visit and they all seemed so enthusiastic that I finally dug through a drawer in my kitchen and found some tic tacs to give them. They didn’t seem pleased with that treat, but it was all I had.
Wait! This happened last year around this time (and the year before if I remember correctly). That must mean that it’s HALLOWEEN! Ahh, it all makes perfect sense now! Well, Happy Halloween to everyone. I’d suggest giving out Turkey Hill ice cream to your michevious visitors, but I don’t think that would end too well.
P.S. – We’re very close to reaching a milestone here on the Ice Cream Journal. To date, our cozy little ice cream blog has attracted 1,979,904 visitors, which means we’re a stones throw away from reaching TWO MILLION visitors! According to my calculations, we should surpass the two mil mark any day now. To celebrate, I’m going to give away a special prize (to be announced later) to our two millionth visitor. Could it be you?

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.

October 30th, 2009 at 4:07 pmHappy Halloween … and just for the record, I think giving out Turkey Hill as a Halloween treat is a great idea. When I was a kid growing up in Detroit, I lived near a Borden Ice cream factory that gave out ice cream treats every Halloween. It was always our last stop, so we could eat our treats on the walk home, and it is probably my happiest Halloween memory. There is NEVER a wrong time for ice cream – especially Turkey Hill!!
October 30th, 2009 at 4:05 pmWhat a great family 2 million strong. Congrats. My son is heading to Italy next week. Any Turkey Hill there? Or will he have to wait until he comes home?
October 30th, 2009 at 3:59 pmHAPPY HALLOWEEN, and I wish everyone lots of treats.
And don’t forget to set your clocks back at the bewitching hour.
October 30th, 2009 at 3:57 pmI don’t like halloween at all. (Horrors!) However, even I would be tempted to go out trick or treating if I knew ice cream would be involved. Yum!
October 30th, 2009 at 3:13 pmI’m on the verge of moving to Delaware have found a suitable place to live and became familiar with the area to include shopping and a grocery store that carries Turkey Hill! I know I’ll be happy.

October 30th, 2009 at 10:40 amHow about coming out with little ice cream nuggets with a nard candylike covering that could be individually wrapped and dropped in the goody bag of the ‘Trick or Treaters’. At leastiIn the north it is usually cold enough that it would last until they got home, or they could unwrap and pop it in their mouth, like they do with some of the other things that they received while they are still out.
October 30th, 2009 at 10:34 amyippieeeeeee 2 million scoops, lol keep the flavors coming ,we enjoy them all!!!!

October 30th, 2009 at 10:11 amSince we discovered Turkey Hill ice cream (only because it was on sale at “The Eagle”), we buy NOTHING else! It is the best. My husband almost “has a cow” if we don’t have atleast 2 containers in our freezer. Keep up the great work in producing such a marvelous treat.
October 30th, 2009 at 10:11 amCongrats on all the visitors!
October 30th, 2009 at 10:10 amHow about gift certificates for TH ice cream for a treat for those goblins? Afe, healthy, and won’t take up much room….
October 30th, 2009 at 10:05 amHow about pumpkin spice ice cream?
October 30th, 2009 at 10:05 amHappy Haloween.
I think the Turkey Hill Cow would make a great costume.
I’m trying to think back when I started. I believe sometime in the spring of 2007 and I won coupons for 2 tubs (can’t say 1/2 gallons anymore) and was surprised the coupons expired in 2010. Now a days coupons are usually good for less than 60 days. In 2 days it will be November which means soon I will receive my 2010 TH calender to hang on my refrigerator. Time flys when you have a tub of TH near by.
October 30th, 2009 at 10:04 amwow…that’s alot of visiters
October 30th, 2009 at 9:58 amWe had alot of globbins last night wish I could have given them all some Turkey Hill ice cream, but with 200 visitors couldn’t do that only had 4 containers in the freezer, so today is stock up day. Happy Holloween to all. Linda
October 30th, 2009 at 9:34 amThe ice cream you make is the best! I do wish we had a larger variety in my area. I read about all those scrumptous flavors and become envious!
October 30th, 2009 at 9:33 amIt would be great to be able to give out Turkey Hill to all those fun and festive Halloween visitors. It would be the very best treat of all. Maybe next year Turkey Hill could make coupon books to give out along with the other goodies to encourage the moms and dads to buy Turkey Hill. Hope everyone has a happy and safe Trick or Treat night!
October 30th, 2009 at 9:30 amI love your ice cream!
October 30th, 2009 at 9:29 amHappy Halloween! I would love to be your winning visitor because I love your blog and your ice cream!
