Later this month, we’ll be kicking off our annual holiday celebration, the 12 Days of Ice Cream. To recap for some of our new readers, the 12 Days of Ice Cream features a new blog entry every day for 12 days leading up to Christmas. What makes it fun is that each blog entry will feature an ice cream related prize, which will be given away to one commenter chosen at random from that entry. So basically, you have a chance to win a fun prize every day!
This year, we thought long and hard about what sort of prizes to give away, and we settled on gifts chosen from the popular website, Etsy. For those not familiar, Etsy is a cool website that features handmade and homemade crafts and artwork. People can create anything they want, and open a “store” on Etsy to sell their creative handiwork.
This year’s ice cream prizes are truly fun and creative. They include everything from a handmade ice cream pillow to a hand-knitted cozy sleeve to put around your pint of Turkey Hill ice cream while you’re eating it!
The first 12 Days of Ice Cream entry will be posted on December 14 and will conclude on December 25. But before the celebration begins, we’ll be posting our four finalist recipes in this year’s Ultimate Holiday Recipe Contest. Look for those entries next week and a poll on Friday to vote for your favorite.

Ice cream gift certificates are a great idea but a bat execution! Charging or gauging customers to spread the word of your great icecream to the tune of double the price is just well not in the spirit of viral marketing. You should discount the price of a certificate to make it attractive and rewarding for folks to spread the word about your ice cream make the packets bigger say 20 certs to a booklet if handling costs of the sale are an issue!
i can;t wait i love ice cream!!!
I scream, you scream, we all scream for Turkey Hill ice cream!!!!!
Chocolate peanut butter is my fave. A cold night, a big bow of Turkey Hill and I’m in heaven.

I LOVE ICE CREAM!!! Turkey Hill is the best. I would never buy anyother kind. There is a store in Quarryville Lancaster County that made corn ice cream this summer, I tried some as a sample and it was pretty good. It had corn (sweet) and corn muffin in it, so don’t disreguard sweet bacon ice cream until you give it a try!!
My whole family loves Turkey Hill ice cream. My favorite is cookies and cream. We also love Touchdown Syndae in honor of the Eagles. I would love to try a different flavor each day but my freezer isn’t big enough!
I grabbed some Tin Roof Sundae for a last minute party contribution. It was a hit.
German Chocolate Cake Ice Cream is a flavor you guys should make year round!!! It is so good.
