On Wednesday we talked about our newest frozen yogurt flavor, PomBlueberry Chocolate Truffle. Today, we thought we’d give everyone a sneek peek at the Limited Edition ice cream flavors for the entire 2010 year. Some of them are returning Limited Edition flavors from previous years (based on sales and your positive feedback) and others are brand new.
Keep in mind, the monthly Limited Edition calendar is very flexible. The timing of when each flavor will be in your local grocery store depends mainly on when your store’s grocery/freezer manager orders it and decides to stock it. In other words, even though the April Limited Edition flavor is Fried Ice Cream, you might not see it in your freezer aisle until late April while others might not see it until May. Either way, keep your eyes open for these frozen treats!
JANUARY – Gertrude Hawk Box of Chocolates (Milk chocolate ice cream with dark chocolate raspberry cups, chocolate almonds and white chocolate chunks swirled with chocolate chips.)
FEBRUARY – Coconut Cream Pie (Creamy coconut ice cream swirled with coconut cream pie pieces.)
MARCH – Vanilla Swiss Almond (Vanilla flavored ice cream with choco almonds.)
APRIL – Fried Ice Cream (Cinnamon ice cream swirled with cinnamon sopapilla and sweet tostada pieces.)
MAY – Souther Lemon Pie (Tangy lemon ice cream swirled with whipped marshmallow and shortbread pieces.)
JUNE – Double Dunker (Mocha ice cream swirled with chewy cookie dough and crunchy chocolate cookie swirl.)
JUNE-SEPTEMBER – Peaches ‘n Cream (Peach ice cream with sweet peach slices.)
JULY – Chunky Peanut Butter (NEW!) (Vanilla ice cream with chunky peanut butter swirl and peanut crumbles.)
AUGUST – YORK Peppermint Pattie (NEW!) (White mint ice cream with mini YORK Peppermint Patties and chocolate mint swirl.)
SEPTEMBER – Baked Apple Dumpling (Cinnamon ice cream with caramel apple swirl and apple dumpling pieces.)
OCTOBER – German Chocolate Cake (Chocolate ice cream swirled with coconut caramel and pieces of fudge cake.)
NOVEMBER – Ginger Snap (Spiced ice cream swirled with ginger snap cookies.)
OCTOBER-DECEMBER – Egg Nog (Rich egg nog ice cream with rum flavoring and spicy nutmeg.)

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.
Can’t wait to try these …some are very unique sounding, others old friends waiting to meet again!
Woo hoo! New flavors — I love it!
I just hope some of these come in reduced fat versions, especially the peach pie and apple dumpling, but especially, especially, the double dunker.
I was so looking forward to trying the pomblueberry chocolate truffle yogurt, but the stop & hop in Middletown, Ct didn’t have it. Any chance that i could find it in Ct.. well in the Middletown area (06457)
thanks
Can’t wait for the York peppermint pattie. However you still haven’t tried my suggestion of licorice in October. As I said before, when in high school I worked at a dairy bar and they made licorice every year around Halloween. People waited all year for that flavor to be in stock. Was yummy.
Will be waiting each month for The Turkey Hill limited edition flavors to come to my store. We enjoy every one of them……….some more than others, but we look forward to the awaited treat.
can’t wait until May. My husband lovvves lemon.
These flavors are absolutely FABULOUS! I can’t wait to try each one of them.
Love peaches and cream-also egg nog is a special treat. Oh and yes, I received my new calendar yesterday-thank you for the future treats
Would like to try all of these ice creams, however Turkey Hill ice cream is not here in North Carolina. Well, not in my area.
Oh this is great, my birthday is in August and I love York peppermint patties
so this will be PERFECT for my birthday. Thanks Turkey Hill
Please come back with the low carb{low sugar} especially PEANUT BUTTER PARADISE.
Where is my Coconut Cream Pie Ice Cream?
I love the Egg nog ice cream.
They are all so delicious, especially Box of Chocolates! I hope I can find Jr. Mint this year, I still haven’t had any. Thank you again TH!!
Is it August yet?
They all sound good to me. The Box of Chocolates sounds particularly great.
Did you know there’s a prize-winning anthology out right now from L&L Dreamspell, called A Box of Texas Chocolates? Might think of matching the two together!

Double Dunker looks wonderful.
just reading @ the names makes my blood sugar peak….lol cant wait, yummies on the way!!!
Selections for jan, feb, mar, july & oct all look great. However, even tho I like & buy TH fozen yogurts, I won’t be trying this new flavor combo, sounds almost like “throw-up” to me!
These flavors all look so yummy. The worst part of it is that this is just a tease for me because where I live, they never stock the new or exotic flavors. I guess we are lucky to get Turkey Hill Ice Cream at all!
coconut cream pie is my absolute favorite!
Glad to see Baked apple dumpling is still on the list
Also, thanks for this years calender with the coupons! Much appreciated
January and February look fantastic…so does Oct to Dec. You’ve made the winter months much happier!! Thank you again for the 12 days contest. The note cards came and are perfect!
All the favorites are still on the list and 2 NEW ONES. I’m going to try harder to find Peaches n Cream this June-September. 4 months, I should find it somewhere. July – Chunky Peanut Butter and August – York Peppermint Pattie are 2 flavors that sound delicious and I’m going to try.
I love your ice cream!
Well I will be searching the store’s freezer for our favorite, Box of Chocolate since we are now in January

We customers thank you!
The Cocanut Pie Ice Cream sounds out of this world…. Thats my favorite pie… Throw a few nuts in the batch and I’ll Love you Forever.
I can’t wait to try the Coconut Cream Pie and Peaches and Cream is also another favorite.

I’m looking forward to June, August, and November’s featured flavors. They all sound great, but those will be my favorites! YUM!!!

I can’t wait to try all the flavors, especially the Double Dunker, it sounds so good. Thanks for the delicious preview!
Something to look forward to on this very COLD night!!
Can’t wait for Gertrude! I looked for her last year, but couldn’t find her. I’m also looking forward to April, June, July and August. Your Apple Dumpling flavor was a big hit with my kids during Christmas vacation. We used the end of it in a yummy milkshake the other night.
January, June, July, August, my favorites. Believe me, I knew Gertrude Hawk personally, lived near her in Scranton, PA, belonged to the same lodge. Loved her candy from day l. Still eat it when I can get it.
I wish Turkey Hill would make these limited edition flavors with low fat. I try to eat low fat light or fat free ice cream whenever possible.
Enjoying Ginger Snap right now!!
Yummy! Yummy! Can’t wait to try some of these!
They all sound wonderful! I Can’t wait to try them.
The flavors do sound delicious and I am glad to see the coconut cream pie flavor has returned. I am a little disappointed that I have not seen my all time favorite coffee flavored lite ice cream with the chocolate covered almonds throughout. It has been quite a few years since I’ve seen it and I was hoping 2010 would would hail its return.
I couldn’t find Gertrude at my local Weis today so I bought German Chocolate Cake. I just tried it and neither my husband nor I are really crazy about it. It’s even a little too sweet for me (which is unusual).
Oh, man! They all sound amazing. I can’t wait until spring!
I really NEED malt choclate chip (not the light).
Box of Chocolates for me!
I can’t wait til June!
2010 already looks like the best year ever!
Well, I can see that this list of new flavors has doomed my NY Resolution. So many delicious new flavors… can’t wait to try them.
Love all the flavors that Turkey Hill has. I just love peanut butter and looking forward to July to get some of the new Chunky PB. Linda
Hi everyone I love the Box of Chocolate. I can eat 2 of them in one day. It’s like eating a box of candy with sweet sprinkle wine.
Can’t wait for the Southern lemon pie-it’s my favorite.Of course, eggnog and box of chocolates are also super! I pretty much love them all.
would like to try coconut cream pie.
come on feb.
It’s great to know ahead of time when these flavors are coming out. I can be looking for them in my favorite grocery store as each month arrives. Thanks for the schedule.
I LOVE Gertrude Hawk Box of Chocolates. It is my favorite. Anyone and everyone I kmow who has tried it loves it. When you find it…stock-up…it goes fast Wish it was available all the time.
i can’t find “box of chocolates” anywhere on cape cod! help!
why is it that we can not get any og these flavors in CORRY,Pa ? some of these sound so good and there in no place to get them.!!! WHY???
why do we get left out???
Why must these flavors be only available for a short period of time? We can’t get enough of them, when I do find them, I try to stock up so that they last a little longer, but even that isn’t enough!
these sound like i may gain a few pounds this year. Practically every flaavor sounds so delicious. the only problem i find is that the supermarkets do not always seems to have these monthly specialties.
this sounds great. I hope to taste everyone of these flavors when they are available at my supermarket.
I searched three different chains for the ginger snap ice cream to no avail – I’m glad I’ll get another chance next fall! I love giinger snaps and can’t wait to try this – and some of the great recipes I saw using it!
all of these sound great! how about a coupon for a free trial for the frozen yogurt for us who write in the journal? love turkey hill ice creams and other products ex. teas etc. thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gingersnap was VERY hard to find anywhere–but worth the hunt once we tasted it!
Now I know what flavors to demand (well beg nicely?) of my store manager! Thank you Turkey Hill!
going to store
Nice Selection, and like the Names///
Yummmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!
I need one of each–or maybe 10
With Double Dunker, Chunky Peanut Butter, and YORK Peppermint Pattie, I’m officially declaring the summer of 2010 to be the summer of Turkey Hill.
OMG – Chunky Peanut Butter and York Peppermint Patty sound amazing! Glad the Double Dunker is making an appearance again, too. I LOVED that flavor!
Hello, let me introduce myself. I am Rachel, the # 1 junior mint fan! I have a junior mint hall of fame that includes a carton of junior mint ice cream that holds all of the other junior mint souvenirs that I have collected. I am 11 years old. I think Turkey Hill should keep junior mint ice cream as a permanent flavor. I don’t think it is necessarily good to keep every flavor you invent a limited edition flavor. For all of those ice cream lovers who like one of your flavors, it will disappoint them as it did to me when junior mint ice cream got expelled from your factory.I suggest that you keep all of your flavors a permanent flavor. That is all. I hope you read my letter of recommendation and consider it.
The # 1 junior mint fan,
Rachel
Chunky Peanut Butter should be a year round thing. Definitely should be more than limited edition.
Loved the coconut and also fried ice cream. Hopefully they will become “un”limited! We regularly buy your rum raisin which was at one time limited.
