When we saw this month’s featured product, we knew we had to give it away here on the Ice Cream Journal. It’s a reproduction of a rustic looking tin sign that reads “Dairy Made Ice Cream: You’re sure it’s pure.” That’s it pictured on the right. The sign measures 12 inches by 14 inches and we’ve increased the value (at least we think we have) by having each sign autographed by our Einstein of Ice Cream, Ernie Pinckney, and Turkey Hill President Quintin Frey.
We’ll give away not one, not two, but THREE of these signed signs to three commenters chosen at random from all the comments left here on the Ice Cream Journal this month. Good luck!

If you’ve got a technical question about the ice cream making process or some other inquiry about the nuances of America’s favorite treat, chances are Ernie has the answer. He might not be able to answer all questions, but he’ll try his best and some may be featured on the Ice Cream Journal.

I remember Turkey Hill
I remember flavors of ice cold cream,
the true flavors of my true home,
waiting expectantly
as each cone was prepared;
dished by a mother loving.
Today; miles away from my childhood
I walk to the grocer’s store
on hot summer days remembering
ice cream by the scoop
dished by a mother loving.
I remember Turkey Hill.

I would love to have this sign because it reminds me of my grandfather. He owned a dairy farm and was famous for his “Russell’s Ice Cream” in the poconos. Vanilla was their best seller, but I always opted for the homemade strawberries picked on Elk Mountain before it became a ski resort. Keep up the great flavors
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your ice cream! It tastes so real and wonderful!! I also love the limited edition flavors that make me want to go see what you have sent to my store’s freezer this month
