Nothing can interfere more with a late night ice cream craving than hard ice cream. We’ve all been there. You open the freezer, take a few seconds to ponder your frosty options, grab a spoon, a bowl and a scoop and dig in. I love the look of this scoop. It would have been great to have when I worked in an ice cream shop during high school. Sometimes I came home with black and blue wrists from trying to scoop over-frozen ice cream.
This is FANTASTIC….we can never wait for the ice cream to soften a bit. As soon as we take it out of the freezer we want it to be eating ready!

This Electric Ice Cream Scoop would be a lifesaver for anyone who has problems with their hands. Whether it’s arthritis or carpal tunnel (anything) it would make their lives easier as far as scooping TH ice cream that is. Hope I win. Good Luck to everyone.

I ate a half gallon of Turkey Hill Rocky Road per week while I was pregnant for 2 LONG summers in a row. This heated scoop would have been great for all that ice cream eating!!
One of the better ideas I’ve seen in a while. All I have to say to the inventer is,”what took you so long”.
Come on we are getting to SOFT. I have my mother-in-law’s 50′s scoop which is simple and I can use during power outages and the batteries never die. If the ice cream is too hard I just go old fashion and dip the scoop first in hot water and it cuts through like soft butter. It sounds like a one time novelty which will end up in the junk drawer with all the other electric junk. We should get back to the old days when things were made to last like hubby’s pre WWII snow shovels made of steel. He had 2 sets but our daughter wanted a set so he parted with one set making her a 3rd generation snow shoveler. I will pass on the electric scoop.

I have never encountered this problem:
my “scoop meets what appears to be something resembling concrete.” and if I did, I probably would heat my scoop in some warm water. somehow $20 for a scoop just seems more than I want to spend. I’ll use the $20 to buy more turkey hill
I have a scoop that works fine from Pampered Chef that uses the heat from your hand to warm the scoop and thus the ice cream. I never have a problem getting enough ice cream out of the carton. It would be nice to win something though.
