CAROL M. FROM HALIFAX, PA ASKS: I have a question about new flavors. I heard from a friend that Turkey Hill is making a new flavor of ice cream that will be totally new and different. Is that true? I understand if you can’t tell me about it because it’s a secret, but any information you can provide would be great because I’m a big ice cream fan, especially anything chocolate!
Thanks for your question, Carol. I’m actually surprised that it’s taken this long for rumors about our “secret” new ice cream to find their way to ice cream fans outside the Dairy. (Although I have a sneaking suspicion that the “leak” is a clever tactic cooked up by our marketing department.)
It’s true that we’re working on a new type of frozen treat, but it’s not really a new flavor. It’s more of a new type of ice cream, which will be available in several different flavors. We’ve been working on it for about two years under the internal code name “Nine.” I was initially opposed to using a secretive code name and it took some getting used to, but it’s actually grown on me because I sort of feel like James Bond when I use it.
I can’t really reveal too much about the project until we’re ready to officially announce it later this month, but I can say that this type of ice cream has never been created before and it will redefine the way people enjoy at ice cream. Stay tuned!

Dear Ernie, I have a question for you? Why do you need to add sodium to yur ice cream? Can you do with out the sodium in your turkey Hill ice cream?
can you make a pure Red White and Blue Ice Cream? for the summer season? I love Turkey Hill ice cream

As I have cholesterol problems, I hope it is a new type of lower (or no) fat ice cream. I have frequently asked for a flavor you don’t have yet, low fat coffee ice cream with low fat fudge swirl. This is a flavor that has always been my favorite!

All I know is if Turkey Hill creates it, it will be a hit and will be delicious. Look forward to the introduction and savoring all of the flavors. : )

I can’t imagine a new type of ice cream. How can you improve on Turkey Hill ice cream? I wasn’t awaare of a demand by customers for a new kind of ice cream. The flavor doesn’t matter to me – but a new kind of ice cream peaks my curiosity.
What initially drew me to Turkey Hill were the exotic flavors and they keep me interested today ! Thanks

Brenda – Regarding the relatively low sodium levels in ice cream, some sodium is found in almost all ice creams. The reasons vary, but it’s hard to avoid it altogether. Hope this helps!

MY wife and I consume 3 turkey hill ice creams weekly . We use an insulated container when we shop. Now i Will need a larger one when your new icecream debuts, Bring it on.

Best ever ice cream – I always have some in my freezer – love the different flavors (not a lover of chocolate ice cream – just chocolate candy) but that doesn’t keep me from eating the different flavors of chocolate.
